You should focus the discussion on handball by changing the title to Handball Discussion Thread which will be good rather than a general discussion again of all sports.

I was also in the impression after checking the heading that it was a general sports discussion thread. I also agree that the OP should edit the topic to the Hand Ball discussion thread. I have heard about this game and seen a few clips but never have actually watched the complete game. It looks interesting and we need more information related to it.

The game looks fun. I heard it before but was never interested. I don't know, maybe because of the name of the sport.
In what place/country is this most popular? Because I have just seen the highlight of the Olympics game. But is there a place where it's mostly played in a league and being broadcast on local television?
Like with Basketball, known places are Euroleague and NBA.
I kind of understand the rule from watching it but there might be others that should be checked out. Like fouls or technicalities. I saw a defensive player avoiding the offense when it flew in the air and in the stance of shooting. So they cannot hit them or block them while in the act of shooting?

I was playing Handball in primary school and it is the first place for me among the games I have played with pleasure.

That's funny, Handball was my first ever sport I played in a team. Most of my friends went with football, but I prefered to play something with my arms. In my hometown there was no real basketball team so the alternative was Handball. I played it for many years, but had some injuries in high-school and had to stop playing eventually. After that I never really went for another team sport. Sometimes I play football with friends, but that's only for fun, not competitive. These days the sports I play regularly is badminton and climbing. Both of them you only play with one partner and are not really popular in the betting community. I am glad that climbing is now an Olympic discipline, that should make it more popular long term. Another sport I still play actively is Esports.

Interesting game and thank you for sharing, I know that handball game exist but I am not really sure how it works and how it was played and now I do because of this topic though I am still unsure whether to place bet on it even though I know the mechanics it is still hard for me to analyze a match without background of the sports and the teams that is participating in that game.

Look most specific talking with handball sport only with his tread and I think OP need to change with topic move to handball sport not with sport interests you. I have interested with football only so far and not understand with handball sport because beside not have hobbies and my country still not popular with handball spot. Every country have each spot iconic and I think OP become from country with handball are popular sport maybe there. I think with football looks interested sport competition where every week watch football match on stadium with thousand fans there and support their team.

The OP already knows that not all people are familiar with the handball sports, that's why he put a different title so that people can still place their comments on here if which sports got their interest. Football is more popular than handball because it's being played on many countries even the main sport on that country is different.

All sports have their own competitions but some sports are not that known so we think they don't have it but most competitions are cancelled right now due to the covid or also because of the wars. It's not enjoyable as before where you can watch live on the stadium but there might be other ways to show your support to your favourite team.

Considering the sports I started professionally was : Basketball.
The others I used to pay when I was quite young were:
Cricket
Football
Handball
Local sports like kabadi and kho-kho
Some martial arts
Athletics
And a lot more! I was a crazy child and sports did not just provide me a lot of adrenaline rush but I was quite good at it as a child. Alas ! Lol that's where my interest comes from and now it would be fairly sad to consider how due to studies and covid staying and home and doing the desk work is the big norm.
Handball is something that can be seen as a combination of basketball and football but way more fun ! I remember playing it as a child but we did loose the state nationals haha but OP the sports is fun ! Definately.

That's a fine game. I occasionally watch it when I have free time. It's not like how broad the rules are with basketball or football but it's a good physical game that requires a high amount of stamina. They keep moving and the ball cannot stay in one place.
But I like basketball more, it's the showing off the player skills that makes it wonderful. Crossovers, dunks, different lay ups, and the new era of three point shooting from almost halfcourt.

I don't know much about hand sports, because in the country I live there are still very few fans of hand sports, I prefer to bet on sports that I'm interested in, such as soccer, because I know performance and I know about betting on football games, tonight I will also bet for the game Chelsea vs real Madrid in the second leg of the champions league.

My interests so far on football and also basketball.Honestly I didn't understand what handball was before just look at the event betting list sportsbook and didn't know what it was just a quick look on youtube also but don't understand, this thread helped to me understand thanks. The game of handball might attract attention if there are many unique attractions to hit the opponent's goal but I don't fully know the rules of handball, whether with soccer rules or there are additional rules. In terms of standings, handball matches are more identical and look interesting to follow, I think to increase the popularity of handball matches, it should be promoted by many pro players and top world artists.

Handball..Interesting sport which I only got to know of because of gambling but it sometimes confuses me as its something similar to netball except it doesn't have a goalie and smaller goal net, all maybe too similar to waterpool except it's a game played in water which is the major difference.

It is very important for the development and physiological development of children, with a play style blended from many sports branches. Basketball, Volleyball, Long Jump etc. Techniques in sports are used in combination in this branch of sports.

Interesting recap, unfortunately it's very hard for new sports to break into the big league when there are already strongly established leagues that have generations of fans and huge infrastructure behind them. However if you enjoy the sport then keeping it small and local can be just as fun. I've gotten into "bouldering" or climbing without ropes at a low level, it takes a huge amount of strength and coordination to master some of the really difficult routes that can be laid out, but it's also an affordable hobby that even a solo enthusiast can pick up if you've got a decent facility nearby. It is a solid workout and you can really push your limits in each new session if there is enough variety in the difficulty levels.

It will not be a good start for casinos to add handball in their site since handball doesn't have a lot of media coverage so, most likely casinos that will add it are the local casinos but for other casinos then it will be a hard decision. Not that I am interested in basketball or football but I did watch matches of these sports when I don't have much to do so if I am going to bet on a sports then it will be those two sports I mentioned, again not that I am interested in it.

On point thats why new or even old existhing kind of sports wont really be getting much attention because majority of the community or fans would definitely be only aware of the current popular or known sports

but there are really activities which could really be that considerable but of course it wont really be coming into a point that it would really be getting much attention and consideration but in overall
physical benefits aspect then it is really still that good for someone to engage on but of course it would be depending on someones interest though.

From the childhood I was much into badminton, volleyball and cricket. Badminton is being played in the early morning to avoid wind, as we play in the outdoor. In the school volleyball and cricket are being played. Cricket and volleyball are much commonly played in my country. Apart from this we play throw ball, but same as handball without a net. Here we throw over the players to make them out. Maybe this has got different name.

Interest will rise depends on what sports is so famous in your community and in my case in Philippines the famous sports is Basketball so this one influence me a lot that's why I mostly bet on Basketball whether its on regular season, playoffs or even with big games on finals. Also second famous in country is boxing so its not surprising for me to see fellow Filipino people place their bet on big events like fight of Pacquaio and other rising star since this is always highlight in the mainstream so overall this interest will always depends on what you see on national television.

And there are things which would really be lots in terms of sport selection because we could really see lots of types of sports which are available or could really be played aside from being a national local kind of sports which

I am more interested in basketball and boxing, same as you. So when I bet, mostly in basketball. But from time to time, if I know the boxers involve, I also bet. You will be more confident to bet on a sports you are already familiar with because you are rooting for someone to win and you know their capabilities as athletes especially if you have been following that team or athlete for years and years. So that added excitement on my part. Each country has their own like national or favorite sports, so each one of us may vary with our choices.
