Like holding bitcoin for at least six months to a year is what is known as the short term investment. Do no mind I use bitcoin and not mention any altcoin.

I will prefer to invest in bitcoin.

Best to wait and let bitcoin fall to around $30000 to $35000. Then you can invest. Short term may not be accurate, the price of bitcoin may not fall to that price, it may fall to the price, anything can happen.

The best is to have long term investment strategy, thinking of 4 years or more. With this, you can even buy bitcoin now, wait for ATH. After next halving, bitcoin may reach six digits. Bitcoin ATH was $69000, the price is at $42500 recently, that means there are corrections already, a good time to invest but on long term.

Short term is almost always a gamble regardless of what asset you buy. You could literally buy the best stock or the next best performing cryptocurrency of the year but you can still end up losing when talking about a short timespan.

Short term is not a good time period for a good return unless if you are willing to take a lot of risk, precisely gambling your money. You would have to buy a number of shitcoins based on half-baked technicals and hope that a few make a profit cancelling the loss made by the rest. This applies to mostly altcoins. Some altcoin day traders are able to make money off this method, but trust me, it is no piece of cake and it becomes gambling more than skills.

In the short term BTC can be unpredictable, with both highs and lows happening from a given price. If you still willing to extend the period to 6months, you would better off buying bitcoin at the lowest possible price you can get in the next seven days. If that does not work out, my better suggestion is to look for a long term investment possibility of buying bitcoin at a low price.

Your question is pretty much the same with: "Which altcoin will moon in the next few days?" And the answer to that is we don't know.

If you don't have the technical ability to read charts and determine the coin's directional bias on a lower time frame, you're just going to shit your pants in this space. Moreover, "Gambling suggestions" might be a better title.

I am by no means an expert and my tone is a bit of harsh, but generally speaking, it is for your safety.

indeed it would be better to wait for lower prices to invest, especially if we invest in the short term, so looking for a position to buy is a must, so that it does not end up floating minus for a long time. Day trading is one thing. OP was asking about short term investment. Not trading (which, let's be honest, it's not for newcomers either).

My short term investment suggestion is to not do it. Do not have short term investments. Most of the time "short term investment" means making money quick, that is what you are asking. If there was a method that could gain us a lot of money in a short span of time then everyone would do it without a doubt and you would hear about it without asking it.

Unfortunately there are no investments like that and you can't earn anything at all. What we should do instead is to make sure that we shouldn't really invest into anything that would ruin our needed amount, if you need the money then do not invest with it, if you do not need it then do long term investment.

Pump and dump altcoins, maybe you could just be lucky and get one right before it pumps, who knows, but what if none of such happens and you lose your funds, then you go all in again with another pump and dump coin, and the same scenario happens, rinse and repeat. At one point you then leave the network, brandishing and generalizing the crypto network as being a scam, telling your friends to stay off, but without highlighting your own folly in all of this.

Having said the above, crypto is not a get rich quick network, you should devote some of your time into research. Bitcoin is a long term project for example and one has to be patient when investing in it, i would have suggested you invest in Bitcoin, but you are in a quest for quick riches, so prolly after you have tried such without any success, maybe your curiosity for Bitcoin would grow and you can then get things right.
