The trend of short term investment is a more realistic technique when you see that market prices are always difficult to predict, and in my opinion to make a profit on short time investments, we should buy new listed coins because the chance that the price will pump is greater than old coins.

And with that case, even if it is short-term investments, I still prefer bitcoin over other alts. Because with bitcoin, the tendency is to go up. Aside from that, most altcoins will follow the trend of Bitcoin so no matter what top altcoins you choose they will eventually follow the trend of Bitcoin and if you are one of them owning some BTC then you know that Bitcoin price wouldn't pump in short span of time. i think for new coins investment we will need longer time to gain profits. as new project ofcourse many developtment that must be done and usually will take long time. for example Luna , it need more than 1 year to reach current price. imagine if we find legit project and strong to hold it atleast for 1 year, maybe we will gain 20x.

This is true. If you are investing into something that has been around for a year for example, it will not suddenly do like a 10x return in a month, that is not possible. It probably already priced in and whatever the market movements are, that is what it will do most likely or there is a small chance that it may do a lot better too but not that much better.

This is why I never really go for the short term investments because all of them are a lie to me, there could be some that could be true but that is one in a million chance so why would I end up risking my money for something such a small chance that could happen? I just go for long term instead.
