The Quest of the Best Information to the Solution

One of the popular thoughts and beliefs on crypto especially Bitcoin. The belief is that Bitcoin should be the main money system in the world for getting goods and services vs just being a store of value. All of these ideas are written in the Bitcoin white paper.

Reasons for Bitcoin is the constant ever growing amount of inflation that the current fiat systems of money that create for majority of the populations.

However many have to realize that there are limitation from this happening. Not saying that it could or will happen though.

For Bitcoin or any other new system to come into effect we need to have majority of the population to use and accept such a system.

There are a many things standing in the way of this. One of those limitations is that there is nearly not enough effort on creating and spreading positive awareness on it as some government and individuals alike is hell bent on spreading negativity around and poisoning the minds of prospective users. People need to be aware and understand what bitcoin is really about and be awake to its uses.
You could get lots of information about anything on the internet including bitcoin. But the internet can be misleading to newbies cause you could get right and wrong and also misleading information on the internet. It puzzles me that people with an in depth knowledge of bitcoin would purposefully hoard and keep information to themselves. You may think people don't hoard information but in reality, people do. It irksome just thinking about it. If people could share information, newbies won't readily fall prey to scammers.
Many people believe everything they hear and see on social media and accept that as the main truth to anything without having the proper references to the actual facts.

Another situation is that most people do not understand how the current money system works.  The current system of money has been used for many generations, however many people do not understand how it works. Nor do many people care to learn about. Many people do not see the current inflation growth as something to do with the money system.

Of course the current inflation is of something very complicated and goes back to over a hundred years in many ways.

At one time, I thought there was a small chance for Bitcoin to disrupt the vice-like stranglehold which corporate lobbying has upon the world.  Although it looks like the potential for genuine reform is somewhat diminished from what I had hoped for.  Not least because I suspect most people can't even see that potential.  That, and I don't think the world is ready yet.  People want to complain about stuff, but the vast majority of them won't actually do anything about it.  Because they'd have to un-learn many of the habits they've spent a lifetime reinforcing.  And those habits are built around a total reliance upon systems of control.

After all a huge deal of money is stolen from credit and debit cards all over the world, and those people depend on the banks to save them and recover their money, but this is not possible with bitcoin, so since people do not know how to take care of their coins I think that we are bound to see a massive amount of money being stolen if Bitcoin was adopted massively, and then once they lose their money this way those people will criticize Bitcoin for its inability to reverse transactions, even if that is a feature and not a bug.

For most part many people do not see the potential of Bitcoin and the benefits it can bring to everyone else. There has been now a reputation of it being just a rich man’s money. With the fact that more of the rich whales and corporations getting involved and talking about it more. Which other people will see this as intimidation and stay clear away from this new money system.

In some ways this is good for crypto if the larger companies are getting involved as it could help adoption. Then again it could work against it as well.

In general I think it will take sometime for more adoption of Bitcoin to happen, if any at all.
What do you think is needed to not scare people away from crypto. Also what can be done to encourage people to at least take a moment to learn a bit more on the money system and understand how the inflation is happening. This of course will only need to change some people’s mindset on matters.

What are your thoughts on this?

This is only your assumption.

I don't think you have ever read bitcoin white paper. There are no such claims in it.
https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Regardless of what your assumptions may be, bitcoin is not here to replace anything or become the only payment system that the whole 7 billion people on earth use. Bitcoin is just an option for people who want an "exit" from their corrupt economies. Those who don't want to be caught with their pants down then 2008 repeats. Those who don't want someone else's hand in their pocket or their their transactions censored.
For such people it doesn't matter how much FUD is being spread, they see right through it. Those who see bitcoin as a way to get rich quick are the ones who always fall for the FUD.

Completely misunderstood assumption I believe. First things first: bitcoin has not accomplished main stream adoption as of now so we can not really Call it “main money system”. I think that’s what you trying to say with just different terminology.

For bitcoin to be accepted throughout world needs some sort of regularities. Like every place I go there should be peeps, businesses, small to big shops accepting bitcoin as mode of payment. Going further online shopping sites with easy to make payment. I’m not saying those systems which acts as middle party so that we can easily make crypto to fiat payments.

It should be direct.

But all of this not happening as of now. Even though we have some countries accepting bitcoin but there are more countries than that who do not like the idea of bitcoin.

Moreover defining its value isn’t fixed. Would be difficult to streamline product and services prices to unless you don’t agree to state the price conversion 1BTC=1BTC

Bitcoin is decentralized in a way that we can even disagree with Satoshi himself. The point of bitcoin is that you should use it for whatever reason you may see fit — may it be for a currency, as a SoV, or whatever. The whitepaper is just the initial draft.

One of those limitations is that there is nearly not enough effort on creating and spreading positive awareness on it as some government and individuals alike is hell bent on spreading negativity around and poisoning the minds of prospective users. People need to be aware and understand what bitcoin is really about and be awake to its uses.
There is a lot of effort. It's just that Bitcoin is just a very obscure thing that it will take time for people to realize it's importance. We're literally pitching an alternative financial system, not just some online web service.

Surprise..? This applies to literally any other topic, not specific to Bitcoin.

This has been happening for a while now. It's unfortunate, but people learn by reading, or learn the hard way. Human nature in it's finest.

In general I think it will take sometime for more adoption of Bitcoin to happen, if any at all.
You, and literally anyone with a functioning brain thinks this.

What do you think is needed to not scare people away from crypto. Also what can be done to encourage people to at least take a moment to learn a bit more on the money system and understand how the inflation is happening. This of course will only need to change some people’s mindset on matters.
Time. People are stupid. They'll only realize the importance of something only when they really need it.

Arguably, people don't even realise that they actually need something. You know the amount of people I hear slagging off banks, and not trusting them? Then they're ignoring that there are alternatives despite saying "But we're forced too". People tend to just follow the trends, we are very much sheep penned in most of the time. I know its a hard thing to accept, but we've become pacified to the point where we actually believe we need x service, and y service. Sure, some people genuinely like the convenience, but I bet if you asked the majority of people without mentioning Bitcoin if they would like to be in full control of their money, without relying on third parties the majority would be interested.

Bitcoin unfortunately has been dragged through the mud, and therefore there's a negative stigma to it.

Op, can you formulate concisely what exactly constitutes the Catch 22 situation for cryptos, according to your opinion? Because, frankly, I don't see it. Also, not everyone believes that Bitcoin must become the dominant money of the world. It can be one of the payment options available, and that would be enough. And it can be both the store of value and the medium of exchange. This is often even the case with dollar, when people both use it as money and keep their savings in it, so why can't it happen for Bitcoin? Bitcoin is, after all, about financial freedom. And I think this freedom should also extend to the ways of using Bitcoin.

I guess? Totally depending on what the certain "thing" is. But at some point if it's the case that the "thing" is totally needed and/or they're forced to use it, then they should use that "thing" even if it damages their egos. If they still don't, then Darwinism should run its course.
