Since i can't share your loss and gain in any part so my idea is to keep your research steady. Basically there has common think you should investment bitcoin and ethereum because both are trustfull and long time investment program. It took me a while to learn this but eventually I got it and it profited me a lot. I tried to profit as quickly as possible when I first started and tried to basically just focus on highest earners of the day type of investment, then did leverage as well. Now I know that it is not the way, and for the past few years I have been long term and as we all know past few years has been great. This is what I have been looking for. So if you are a newbie, learn to hold first because that is how you make the most profit you can, then if you profit enough it could be time to start your small time trading as well, or if you prefer you can stay long term anyway.

When you do like to engage with established coin/project for long term = BITCOIN
If you do really love to have other options aside from bitcoin = Top rank Altcoin
If you do really love to play with fire = Low cap altcoins
If you do really like to play with hell = ICO projects

Always do your own research or(DYOR) if you are a newbie you need to always do a proper research on a very strict way because there are a lot of scammers and ther are a lot of thief in crypto. I think now is the right time to start buying bitcoins. because the price is low. because I see soon this price will go up again. Coins other than BTC that are good to start with at the moment are Ethereum, Cardano, Matic, and XRP.

No cryptocurrency investment is not profitable. The cryptocurrency investment that will work against you is when you come into investment with greediness. Bitcoin is good to be invested but since the timeline of investment is under fluctuations. If you buy bitcoins now before you will make a profit you will at most leave for long term before you could make a reasonably profit. But altcoins is another place you can invest your money and you get lost at twinkle of time. The profit in altcoins is same as the lost because of some of them is not good project. Go with bitcoin for long term investment and you will make profit. Except you are in a hurry to make profit in bitcoin and is the condition that will make you to hate bitcoin. Newbie or not, DYOR is always a must thing do whenever we are investing. We can't just simply believe on what others are saying because we don't know what if they are only lying? And even if we say that they are telling the truth, there are still events that can affect the price of the coin but you will notice that if you are making your own research.

There is nothing wrong in picking a new coin as long as we still do what we talked about earlier because not all coins are scam but there must be a couple of them that are legit and they can be one of the top coins in the future. Coins that you list are good btw, they can be ideal for a complete noob.

some noob investors are after for high profits, the reason why they are exploring their chances on new alts promising high returns. but we all know that very few of them can achieve their targets. usually, instead of going up, most new alts will have continuous decline in prices. if you want to have at least security of your investments, not only newbies even long timers here have btc, eth or other top alts in their portfolio. because for example, you can never go wrong with btc because it is the top crypto, and it won't disappear like those pump and dump coins. yes, you can't get the high profits that you're aiming for, but you have the assurance that it will not disappear without a warning.
