Very difficult to answer. No one knows it for sure.
But doing our own research will be able to help us to find one. But I can advise here finding a good project even an altcoin is already here for the long term but they are quality, even how expensive they are already now once the project is good, it will always have room to grow.
Less risk is going on high market caps coins, like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Having said that, the altcoins I would advice anyone to hold for a long term are ETH and BNB because of their usecases.

If both trading and holding is difficult to you. Do you think that you'll manage to hold for 5 years if you've said that it's even harder than trading? Well, trading is harder than holding because you need to analyze while in holding, you just hold and do nothing on it until the price and value goes up of your holdings.
Don't think of being a millionaire by just holding within that span because everything is unpredictable. I'm not saying that it's impossible but you have to be realistic with your goal.

It's always been Bitcoin and has proven itself ever since, the top 10 coins in the market are candidates and if there are people who are going to shill coins to you, better do diligent research, not all that glitters are gold here in the Cryptocurrency market, some coins may look like gold and with good potential but end up fading, many only last for a few monts.

The distance of 5 years is long if you want to hold it longer why not just choose bitcoin for a long time because bitcoin has the potential to rise for a long time, right?
If you want to stay with altcoins of course you have to choose an altcoin that is in the top 10 rankings in high volume because I don't know for sure in 5 years whether it will skyrocket or not but I am always optimistic that the long term will produce better.
But my advice is bitcoin compared to altcoins except ETH and BNB.

I think most people are looking at metaverse and NFT projects, but in my opinion this year is once again the best way to earn on meme coins.

The truth is that no one really knows the answer to that question, during that time frame thousands of coins will be created so reading the whitepaper of each one of them is unrealistic, unless you happen have a team of people dedicated exclusively to this, so when we take into account the difficulty of the task and the limited resources that we have at our disposal then it is easy to see how selecting the coin that will skyrocket during a 5 year span is simply something that is borderline impossible for us.

Coin investment for 5 years, which will provide great value growth. What I have in mind is Bitcoin, other than that maybe old and big coins nowadays like LTC, BNB, ETH, ETC, XMR, BCH.

If we look at the definite growth in value over a 5 year period is BTC, the strong reason is that BTC will halving every 4 years and after the halving BTC price will reach the latest ATH, this happens on average during the 5 year cycle to reach the latest ATH historically .

You can be a millionaire depends on how much money you are going to put, because if you only plan to deposit a $100 and buy a token and hold it for the next 5 years, its really impossible to become a millionaire by that amount. Maybe its good to be more realistic here, you can buy top coins and expect a real profit from them after 5 years but lower your expectation.

You should know that no one holds a crystal ball here that will see the future.
So that answer is no, we don't know what coins that will give us a huge profit in the next 5 years, altcoin that is. And it seems that the market is already saturated by bad altcoins that it's hard to guess which one is good to hold for long term. Might be better if you are going to stick with BTC though, just a suggestion.

Its hard if you are just going to guess on which projects you are going to guess but if you really know what to do and where to put your money, i believe you can be profitable but Its hard to see a million profit in the next 5 years not unless you have thousands of capital to easily achieve this goal. Trading is only advisable to those who have experience on doing that, holding is the best option to those who don’t have experience in trading. BNB and ETH are still my top options for the next 5 years, they can be more big.
