LOL, I don't even know how long the same feeling will last. Really I still feel happy with all the activities I do on the forum although I also don't have high flying hours compared to you and many other users.

Bored or not someone in this forum depends on the mindset, interests and also the purpose of being here. A person who comes only for money maybe they will get bored when they no longer get anything but when the main goal is to gain a lot of knowledge then I think he will funs with consistency for a long time.

Communication is oe of the best thing make people to enjoy platform. But these days, the activeness of users are very low mostly to the responding of comments.

I agree with some of the points _BlackStar has said about you, and I just wanted to add a few for you. Please don't blame the forums and admins and moderators for whatever you're feeling right now on the forum. I would say this forum will be a lot of fun when you know how to use it even if you don't want to promote any signature campaign.

There are lots of interesting discussions we can have among other contributors, it's not just about money but it might give you a chance to know something interesting about the crypto world both technically and other general knowledge. Yes I am still a beginner, but if something is wrong I can pick out the ones I could. In the month of March when I became active and the early part of April all in 2022, this forum was lively. Most time if I am bored in real life I would come to forum to comment, replied and had fun. But these days, I would make reply or comments for days  but no reply.

But what I really want you to do for me is to create notification bar in this forum. Because most time when someone has already mentioned you in your Threads but you can't notice, so at that, the forum became boring. If there is notification bar at least you always know where to go and make responds or comments like Facebook or WhatsApp. And finally, the Hero members and Legendaries should encourage newbies. Like what Lovesmayfamilis did to Israelgogo should be imitated.

This is one of the best thread in this forum. It is a word of encouragement. But I most say the truth. This forum as it is. It is very boring compared to the first time I came to the forum. Now All activities are just stagnant. People would make post for about one week yet no single comment as been dropped. What is really happening to the activeness of the forum? Although I have learned more but the truth most be told. The forum is boring. The Moderators and admin should please revive the forum. I see this forum is going to be one of the greatest one in the internet community. And it will be more than any other social media platforms. Facebook has never been boring. The only issue with Facebook is. It is full of Scammers.

I do not have any idea why you are saying that this forum is boring, maybe you did read some discussion and that's the reason why you feel bored. But for me, this forum is not boring because there are many interesting topics to read and make you more knowledgeable all you need is to put aside your laziness, because the more you are lazy the more you feel bored. Success never comes in an instant as everything is done by hardwork and perseverance. And those legends here are the best proofs that everything started from a scratch, and now they come to enjoy the tail of their success. But it can never be possible if they resort into quitting during their first attempts in crypto. Yes, those first days are very hard that one could think of finding another path but if they know what it takes to succeed in the future and become the golden contributors in the forum, then refusing to take the challenges will only mean a self-loss in the end.

What makes some people to run away from bitcointalk community, is because what they had in mind to come here is not what they are seeing from the community. At times it's a misleads information which some who might introduce them might informed them that bitcointalk community is where people make money, and when them come, the information that was passed through for them is not what they see. And it's very obvious that they will leave the community. Some come here because of education. And they are people who is a beneficiary to this community.

In life, patience is very important because sometimes we don't need to worry self on things that are meant to be on a natural flow without human alterations, being on this forum is as interesting as having fun when the standard is maintained, things are very simple but atimes we create panic and fear to what we are not confident about be it here or on other platforms, I've seen many people not been outspoken and avoided public appearance just because of being timid, we are encouraged to build confidence in whatever we do because such could be a motivation on others as well.

Yup. The forum is a gread source of information, so even if someone is not contributing, they can still be active. And it shouldn't feel like a job but a journey that will have it's benefits along the way, and that takes time and effort.

In the real sense, they don't have to do signature bounty if they're low ranked. They should wisely stick to social media bounties of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc where ranks don't really count but number of followers one has.

That may be a reason. However, there's also the issue of how already established users relate to newly registered ones too. Sometimes, the harshness in response can weigh noob users down and they're likely to feel they aren't needed. Thus, exit. Not everyone knows that here is a tough place to be and that one needs a thick skin to survive. I think we veterans should find a more cordial approach to issues regarding newbies. There's this saying that every experienced person was once inexperienced; every professional was once an amateur. That's true.

I found out about this forum in 2017, since then I always visit it when I have time. At some point I was not an active member, but I still went to the forum and read topics that were of interest to me. I have never considered the forum as a place for entertainment, for me it has always been a place where I can get answers to my questions. Answers from real people, like-minded people who are well versed in these topics. There are many sections here, I'm sure that everyone can find topics that suit their interests. In addition, as a nice bonus, there are signature campaigns.

This is very inspiring that you shared, OP.

The problem stems from newbies who focus too much on ranking-up. I mean, that kind of goal is not bad perse, but it somehow ruins your expectation whenever you try to create a discussion/thread in this forum. Rather, their focus should be centered towards overall contribution in which ranking-up and gaining merits would be the secondary purpose or by-product of your contribution.

To all newbies who are still struggling to grasp the idea of cryptocurrencies, keep your head in the game. Every veteran was once a beginner and a newbie- do not get discouraged and learn from your journey!

This post reminds me of what Gary Vaynerchuk once said - Macro Patience, Micro Speed. Discouragement comes from setting unrealistic expectations of how many merits or how fast you should rank up as a newbie. Another thing that can be a source of discouragement for newbies is criticism. If a newbie doesn't have a thick skin, he or she may get discouraged whenever a user critiques their post.

You must have interest, it will help you to have more interesting discussion. Contribute to the community, learn something useful, and all that will help you stay here longer with a less volatile mood. But what needs to be considered is not to lose motivation to do the best for yourself, not for others.

I understand Agbe. The forum can be boring sometimes. There are somedays that I will.jusy be scrolling the forum and yer will not see any conversations to join. This could go on for so many weeks. That was actually when I didn't know that Hhampuz counts post in gambling boards for my campaign. But since I discovered that I am free to post in the gambling section, I always visit there and bet me, you can never get bored especially on weekends.  Unless you are not a sports someone. There are so many good old threads from 5 years ago you can read if you are getting bored. The "I AM HODLING " kind of threads will light your day.

I think the merit system was created for these people who have no interest about being full fletched members of this forum. Anyone that wants to contribute will definitely keep in touch with the forum whenever possible. However, most people prefer getting crypto information from other communities other than Bitcointalk just like most of us are not active on Reddit, Twitter etc. They are many channels for Bitcoin lovers if only they wanted to contribute here, they'll share information from the channels they are active on.

And if the purpose of joining is not because they want to make money, but for the knowledge of Bitcoin, then I see no reason why there'd be reason to leave.
