Environmental concern is very important to make us survive and avoid natural disasters, and we must be aware that most of the disasters that occur due to damage to nature, such as floods, tsunamis, landslides and so on because humans damaged nature by cutting down trees.
Unfortunately the world doesn't think the same thing that we think. There are politicians, whole political parties and their followers, business people and all of that which end up with something that is ending up being horrible to world because they do not care.

Business people do not care because that means they will earn less money and spend more money, not that they wouldn't profit, they would still profit but they want to profit even more. People do not because they are ignorant and they listen to what the media tells them to think. Politicians do not because they are getting bribed by the oil companies and like to keep getting paid.

Hi, everyone!
I have also heard about this issue.
If you're into news about ecology, you should know about the global climate problem.
How does this affect the bitcoin market?

I trust climate change, but I don't trust environmental organizations. Some of them just using their position and going to be political rather than supporting the "ban anything" that causing climate change.

But it's good many big people concern this, I hope there is more efficient ASIC miner outhere

I don't think that this is not gonna that much effect  on market . But Without knowing anything Some people say this is just part of the ecology system, but I would say bitcoin is part of the ecology system because bitcoin mining requires a lot of electrical energy and generates a lot of heat.  So I would say that if the scientists point out these, then the market will be affected, but it will not be too much.

I’m not sure this has a huge effect on the price of bitcoin. I think a lot of the environmental impact stuff out there is a bit overhyped. I know that mining isn’t good for the environment period, but I think this whole thing about it being a disaster for the environment is propaganda used to try and deter people from using and supporting bitcoin.

Many politicians only think about their purse. What problems will concern these people? They have only one problem - how to sit for a long time at their workplace. And all the political problems they care about only because their personal money can suffer. I do not believe that political parties are worried about the problems of peace and ecology. These problems can be solved quickly, but this has not been done so far and there's always a reason for it.
I do not think that it is politicians that fill their pockets that get the power, I think people get power by filling their pockets. So, you can't become a politician unless you decide to be a shady person willing to get rich. Other politicians who see you not taking any bribery or not working with them on shady deals etc etc will oust you and eventually even on the smallest of the issues you will be gone.

Look at the USA for example, Bernie Sanders is famously a person who can't be bought and he is always and will always stay to be the cleanest politician they have there, but Americans do not vote for him because everyone on media and all politicians hate him because he is not like them. You HAVE TO take money and be shady in order to be accepted among them.

Yes, it's very sad. We want the people we elect to the government to honestly do their job. Then maybe they will think more about protecting the world around them. I want environmental awareness to be a fashionable trend. Then we will be able to see real actions in this direction. If caring for the cleanliness of our planet becomes the main issue of all countries, then the world will become clean and healthy for people.

I really care about the environment, what I usually do is don't throw garbage in the river, and like to plant trees on land that doesn't seem to have any plants, now I'm making teak  seeds which I will prepare to plant on the riverbank near my house.

Lot of environmental degradation cause by human activities are so much that we are paying for the consequences and our government does not seem to understand why they need to center area of focus on this aspect, i got to discover that most of the natural disasters would have been geared by the influence of the environment which the rate of pollution is the major forces behind it, how do we go go about the restoration of the environmental system and make a good living for both man and animals, this is a major concern and government have the highest role to play in such situation.

Human survival in the future needs to be considered, therefore the balance of nature must be maintained, many government efforts apply regulations for mining, the ecosystem in it is maintained as much as possible so that not many living things become extinct. on the other hand we also always commemorate world environment day, which aims to warn us to jointly protect the earth. therefore the choice of alternative energy I think is very suitable to maintain the balance of the ecosystem

There have been environmental changes and occurrences that happened for years and so far, it didn't affect the price of Bitcoin. However, it's still something that we should be mindful of because it will surely affect the whole human race. I hope that there will be crypto projects that would also focus on environmental healing and restoration so we'll still be able to survive in the future.

It really won't. Scientists are the least listened experts of their field, most people in most fields get their words in somehow but when it is scientists’ people rarely listen to them. Most of the time it is not really that much of a big deal because it is not an important thing but sometimes it is very important like climate change and they yet still can't get themselves heard.

This is why I believe that "rebellion" will not be heard that much neither, because if they were capable of getting themselves heard then they wouldn't really need this to begin with as well. World will slowly kill us all and that will just be our demise because we did not care at the correct time.

well ... sometimes behind the appointment of news like this which is associated with bitcoin by the news media out there is always hidden behind it. be it propaganda or diversion of issues. and what is clear is that news like this doesn't really affect the bitcoin market too much.

Salute to what you are doing because after all it is very important to protect and care for the environment,
I really hope people around you do the same and care about the environment,
indeed it all has to start with ourselves and hopefully more people will realize the importance of protecting the environment

This is the path to getting a better world as well, just being like that person would improve so much. However, you need to realize that even though we can be polluting the world a lot less, there are so many companies that destroy it at all times. Just Texas energy companies alone is like 30%+ of the world's climate change causers, which is a proof enough that they won't be really changing anything soon, they would make it nothing but harder.

This is why I care about what companies are doing instead of what people are doing. It is a noble effort to personally try to be better, but unless companies and national laws change, we will keep going the wrong way.

The fact is that quite a lot of big companies are destroying the environment, so I agree with you that we should pay attention to what
companies do rather than what individuals do. Because the impact of environmental damage by the company is very large, can even trigger
the occurrence of many natural disasters in the future. The government should act quickly and issue regulations on how companies should pay
more attention to the environment. But the fact is that quite a lot of big companies are allowed to damage the environment without getting
sanctioned, simply because they pay big taxes and provide a large income for the country. Things like that can ultimately have a negative
impact on human life, even in my country in some areas it is difficult to get clean water and also the air quality is getting worse. If left for
a long time, it will certainly cause natural disasters, because the environment is increasingly damaged.

yes you are right. it all has to start with oneself. However, awareness of the importance of keeping the environment green and clean is currently rare.
what @semar_mesem is doing is exemplary. and if everyone has this kind of awareness then of course this environment will be maintained.

The earth is warming and I find that really worrisome, a recent report said many parts of India have places where the temperature exceeds 50 degrees Celsius, this is a temperature beyond human tolerance.

Bitcoin mining obviously also emits a certain amount of emissions that contribute to global warming but it will be nothing compared to other heavy industries. Bitcoin is not the main cause of environmental disaster but just bitcoin-averse governments trying to blame bitcoin.

The sooner we can move away from fossil fuels and on to renewables, the less there will be an argument against cryptocurrency mining on coins which use proof of work can be considered partially wasteful. The irony is, that a lot of the precious and rare metals used to create things like solar panels can be very damaging to extract from the environment, but hopefully they're used in a way that is more useful than burning up single use fuels. We're all sharing this planet which is slowly heating up, so should all be thinking about ways to save energy, because there have already been vast changes in the last few decades and we might even see the ice caps melting in the near future.

How does this affect on the market? Or doesn't at all? On the prices of bitcoin?
Unfortunately, here is where Bitcoin's detrimental environmental impact manifests itself. According to Investopedia, the network "uses 121 Terawatt-hours of electricity every year... more than the entire country of Argentina." According to a recent analysis conducted by the University of Cambridge, coal accounts for over 40% of mining power. That's not a good number. Because Bitcoin is a finite resource, the energy requirements of mining Bitcoins will only increase with time.
According to NBC, "Bitcoin production is anticipated to generate between 22 and 22.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year," according to a study published in the Joule scientific journal in 2019. This equates to 2.7 billion households.

One bitcoin cost $1 in April 2011, reached an all-time high of about $65,000 in April this year, and is now valued around $48,000 as of this writing. Because some bitcoin investors have become millionaires overnight, an increasing number of people are interested in the idea of becoming wealthy through cryptocurrency investments. However, Bitcoin's growing popularity may make it impossible for the globe to avoid the worst effects of climate change, due to the cryptocurrency's massive energy usage and far-reaching environmental  repercussions.

Yes, I think that bitcoin is not the main environmental problem. There are many other global problems. When I hear that bitcoin is a big problem, I get surprised. Bitcoin mining harms nature on our planet, but large industrial production does much more harm to the environment. It is necessary to approach this problem comprehensively, and not consider it in parts.
