Join DOGE after the plunge? Probably the most common mistake investors make when everything has already happened, for some reason they decide to buy. They should have bought yesterday or at the weekend, but not now, when the coin is up almost 25%.

What makes you think the growth will continue? Now this news can quickly come back and DOGE will be forgotten again. I'm not sure that we'll grow up to 70 cents now. If everything was so obvious, what would prevent you from buying coins at 12 cents?

But the main thing that I can see to this is about bitcoin's pump today. We all knew that whenever bitcoin gets a pump, the other alts are also going up with him.

That's why I'm not surprised if Dogecoin and other altcoins are making a gain whenever bitcoin is making a gain too.

That is true, that the price trend of Bitcoin and DOGE changed at the same time. However, the difference in growth is huge. You will hardly deny that such a large increase in the DOGE price must have been caused by more than just following the price of Bitcoin.

Basically, dogecoin is well connected to Elon Musk, and he has always said that one day Doge will be a means of payment. And now that he has been able to acquire Twitter Platform, I guess people are already speculating that Doge might be used in Twitter.

As other in this thread already said, it probably has to do with the pretty big news that Elon Musk wants to acquire the majority of the Twitter shares which basically makes him the owner of twitter. Even though this news has not really have anything to do with crypto it still pumped up the Dogecoin price quite a bit as Elon Musk is known for his tweets about Dogecoin and i guess this was enough to pump the price. I personally would not invest into Dogecoin now as the pump of this news has already happened now and i don't think that there will be more upcoming news that would make the price go up even more.

I think this has something to do with Elon Musk who has officially bought Twitter at a very fantastic price. Elon Musk as the foster father of dogecoin will of course have a big impact, whatever this guy does, if he brings big things like buying twitter, or other big things in the future of course it will have an impact on dogecoin. Elon Musk is behind the sudden bullish of Dogecoin. The CEO of Tesla company and he is a whale in the Crypto space. Elon Musk have a strong community in the space which many traders and investors relied on his quotes and actions to followed. His action alone influences and affect the market positively and negatively. I don't get why investors are pumping Dogecoin's price just because Elon Musk bought Twitter. It's something stupid since it greatly defeats the purpose of crypto/Blockchain tech. Putting the focus on a single person makes DOGE nothing more than a centralized coin. I wouldn't be surprised if DOGE goes to $1 for a brief period if the hype persists.

One thing for sure is that Dogecoin is and will always be a speculative cryptocurrency with no real use cases in the mainstream world. As I've said many times before, there are far better cryptocurrencies on the market that are actually useful for day-to-day use. Bitcoin and Ethereum are good examples of solid cryptocurrencies that will retain their price for years to come. Who knows what will be of DOGE once Elon Musk abandons it for the next big thing in crypto? Just my thoughts

Well so many doge coin whales are blindly pumping doge coin price with the came of this news. I would not be surprised to see that little traders got hyped as well. The doge community was over hyped due to this news. It is obvious that this is because Elon bought twitter, as we know Elon has an interest in both bitcoin and dogecoin, so people are speculating that Elon is going to allow dogecoin to be used directly on the platform, if true then without a doubt it will bring a massive boost to dogecoin, however you need to be careful as this is not confirmed yet and if Elon were to deny this possibility then it is obvious the price of dogecoin will crash overnight.

Using the word massive pump is a bit of an exaggeration in this scenario, I'll prefer the word sharp increase. The obvious reason for what happened is that Elon Musk purchased Twitter and Dogecoin folks decided to have some fun and gain some attraction to Dogecoin.

I don't think that works out as expected because the "massive pump" is now over and Dogecoin is now following the bearish market trends.
