Vargas as favorite which is good news for us Filipinos who like betting for underdogs, right?  9AM for us at GMT+8. Don't forget. I am setting my alarm.

Magsayo is not a difficult fighter to figure out. He comes forward and tries to get inside to brawl. He has solid power, as was on display when he brutally knocked out Julio Ceja to set up his title shot, but getting in range to land consistently is going to be an issue against a rangy fighter like Vargas. The Mexican is the better fighter on a technical level and his ability to utilize his reach while picking apart plenty of decent opponents has been impressive.

I may just have the same prediction as CBS. Vargas will definitely utilize that long reach of his but I am sure there will be a lot of openings. Magsayo will need to react fast at every jab he will take to get inside his perimeter. It won't be an easy task and this might become a long fight if there will be no brawl that will happen.

There is less than a day left before the fight and now the boxers' chances are leveled and the adds return to the original ones, let the strongest win, but I will still cross my fingers and wait for Mark Magsayo to win.

Shawn Porter said that if Gary was not fighting with one hand, he could have won the fight. Well, I think he has a point but can we review the 1st 3 rounds when he was still not injured, did Gary dominate the fight? And I do hope that confident of Mark being shown in the weigh-in will translate in the fight as Vargas has the experience and the advantage. And good point that on Mark being a slow starter, but in the middle of the rounds, maybe he can go and look for a knock out.

Make it 12, certainly, I didn't vote yet back then because I am looking at some fights on Rey Vargas, but it turned out I am still for Mark Magsayo, and I really don't know all of the voters, but in that 12 that vote, and the average posters on this thread maybe a percentage was all Filipino, but maybe some will say that it is kind of biased to only put vote on Magsayo what can we do, we as Filipino's supports each other, if any are for Vargas here please make a vote for Vargas, and I will add we definitely have total confidence over Magsayo,

Definitely, we are supporting our own boxers just like what we did when Manny Pacquiao was only starting as a boxer, even though the voting pole was biased because most posters here are Filipino, so it is pretty obvious and all have total confidence over Mark Magsayo, that is for sure,

Good to know that it is not only Filipinos that rooted for Magsayo for this fight but definitely the voters of that poll were mostly Filipinos and i think they comprise more than 50 percent of the population of the poll.

One thing that I can vouch with Filipino fighters is that they will leave their all in the ring and do their best to win the fight, they are warriors in the ring of some sort.

Damn, too busy. Didn't able to catch the @2 odds for Magsayo win. Is the line for him really reached @2? When? That was already a decent bet.

Seems also that Magsayo winning by Decision and KO slightly decrease. As of this typing, it's @2.85 and @4.80 respectively. Or it's just around that range few days ago? Seems all options in favor for Magsayo are worth to bet.

We should already used on seeing a PH boxer that up against an opponent with height are reached advantage. Not a really a disadvantage for Magsayo as he also have an advantage over Vargas.

few more fights and i have not found a link as well. lol any link to share the live streaming? there use to be many of them on youtube and its easy to find. now they are very careful not to get caught. but its sad to lose a bet while not seeing the fight. the odds is very close on sportsbet that bookies look at the possibility that Magsayo could lose the fight.

Magsayo had his chance in round 9 on wards but he did not take advantage of it when Vargas got shaken with that huge round 9 knock down. Magsayo clearly lacks of head movement, footwork, and a follow up punches. He solely rely on his power punches.
Nevertheless, Vargas dominated the fight.

Kinda remind me of the match between Kambosos and Haney, where the taller guy with a long reach used it to his full advantage
Vargas used an old tactic for a tall guy to use his advantage by keeping his distance by jabs and side-to-side movement, Magsayo before the start of the fight showing too much confidence, great fighters don't do that, Vargas clearly had the number after the fight I though Vargas will win by unanimous decision, the community had its majority for Magsayo, there's really upsets and this is something that should not be ruled out.

It was indeed a good fight for Vargas.  Magsayo heavily relies on his heavy punches, while Vargas just dances around the ring with his jabs.  And it is seen that Magsayo is frustrated when he starts hitting Vargas at the back of his head.  I hope next time Magsayo learns more footsteps and angles and works on his quickness.  Hopefully, he can acquire Manny's great footwork and angles.
