I plan to hold an auction where the high bid gets to choose a domain (or set of domains when offered as such) from the list below.

As there is already some interest in some of these domains, I'm not ready to start the auction just yet -- once the auction starts the list won't change.

Most of these will include the @Twitter name that was registered as well.  Those with an (@ N/A) will not.

BankOfBitcoin.com
BitcoinBounty.com
BitcoinCapital.com
BitcoinCash.com
BitcoinDirect.com
BitcoinFinancial.com (@ N/A)
BitcoinFX.com
BitcoinHoldings.com
BitcoinLLC.com
BitcoinPartners.com
BitcoinPal.com
BitcoinProperties.com (@ N/A)
BitcoinPurse.com
BitcoinTreasury.com
BitcoinVentures.com
EarnBTC.com
WinBitcoin.com

Sets:
BitFund.com & BitcoinFund.com & BitcoinFunds.com
BitcoinBroker.com & BitcoinBrokerage.com (@ N/A)
BitcoinGame.com & BitcoinGames.com & BitcoinGaming.com
BitcoinInc.com & BitcoinIncorporated.com (@ N/A)
BitcoinTech.com & BitcoinTechnologies.com (@ N/A)
CryptoCoin.com & CryptoCoin.org
GPUMine.com & GPUMining.com
PlayBitcoin.com & PlayBTC.com
BitcoinDrive.com & BitcoinFlash.com
BitcoinJobs.com & BitcoinGigs.com & BitcoinWork.com

-------------------
Likely will be offered for sale outright (i.e., not listed in the domains auctioned)
BitcoinVault.com & BTCVault.com
BitcoinSilver.com & BitcoinPlatinum.com & BitcoinBronze.com (and possibly BitcoinGold.com as well)

For the auction, bid amounts will be in USDs (to protect the bidder against exchange rate fluctuations) but payment in BTCs at the market rate at the end of the auction will be the preferred method of payment. Dwolla or MoneyPak would also be acceptable.

If there is any interest in buying a domain prior to the start of the auction, please PM me or contact me using a method from: http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/User:Sgornick

When does the auction start?

Will probably open the auction sometime this weekend and the auction end date will likely be Dec 15th.   The list will be changing as I need to remove a couple of domains.

This is a 4 Day Auction.

Started: Monday, December 12, 2011
Ends: Thursday, December 15th, 2011 at 4pm PDT (for GMT, Friday, December 15th at 00:00:00 midnight)

The winning bidder gets to choose a domain (or set of domains when offered as such) from the list below.

Now that this auction has started the list of domains will not change, but do note that the list is slightly different from the original post.

The format of the auction is forum bidding, in whole dollar amounts -- USDs (e.g., $15).

If there is enough bidding activity, I may move the bidding over to #bitcoin-auction ( https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=bitcoin-auction ) for the last day.  If a bidder wishes to bid without revealing his or her identity, PM me and I will relay your bid.

These domains are currently registered with GoDaddy.  The quickest method to transfer is from one GoDaddy account to another. Transfer to another registrar will likely incur a fee that is imposed by the destination registrar -- the buyer would be responsible for that fee.  Payment for the winning bid must be received within 48 hours or the bid becomes void, and there will be sad pandas. Please only bid if you intend to purchase should your bid win.

Bid amounts are in USDs to protect the bidder against exchange rate fluctuations but payment in BTCs at the market rate at the end of the auction will be the preferred method of payment. Dwolla or MoneyPak would also be acceptable.

Most of these domains will include the @Twitter name that was registered as well.  Those with an (@ N/A) will not.

I guess this is a go. To prevent this from getting confusing, I am copy pasting the main list, and putting my bids next to items. This way it is easy to see the current bid for all items in the last thread comment. (use copy/paste rather than reply) I left the sets out, but if someone wants to bid on them, just add them back to the list. I am guessing the set competes against the sum of all the individual domains.

I'm pretty sure Stephen wants one bid, you get to pick one domain, or set, if you win.
That being said... 1 BTC

Ahh, I suppose you are right. The winning bid gets to pick either a domain or set of domains. He wants bids to be in USD (though payment in bitcoins). So your bid would be roughly $3, so:

I bid $4.

Correct.  The high bid gets to choose a set of domains when offered as a set, or a single domain.  Bids in USD, whole dollar amounts.

So the high bid is currently $4.  with just a little over 72 hours left. Thank you for your bids!

Bump.

Just under 24 hours remain.  Current high bid is $4.

Some questions that had been asked:

This auction is for the ownership of the domain.  I will transfer the domain (or domains, if the auction winner chooses a set that is offered) to the recipient's domain registrar.

This does not include hosting.  A domain does not even require hosting if the intent by the buyer is to simply reserve the domain name for future use.
