On April 29 they will present Cryptstation in partnership, a crypto cafe that will offer exclusive services and experiences. It will be located in the annex bar of the UCA of Puerto Madero and will be public. The purpose of this is to be a meeting point for those who are interested in this topic, and also for those who want to learn about the whole world of cryptocurrencies, and the transformation towards this new digital, free and decentralized economy that is emerging.

There is no doubt that Argentina is getting deeper into this new evolving economic world every day, now creating a space for all those people who know and want to learn about these digital currencies.
Cryptocurrencies have become an alternative type of currency to traditional ones and it is growing rapidly around the world. And even more so due to the current rates of inflation, proving that people begin to protect their savings in cryptocurrencies.

There come a time that would see more crypto coffee shops around the world. But the question is which crypto are they using for payments? If it's Bitcoin, I bet that they are using the Lightning Network just like what El Salvador did to make Bitcoin a legal tender. The first time I have encountered a crypto-themed cafe was around 4 years ago when I was on tour to educate the masses about cryptocurrencies, but I think that time they still have yet to setup crypto payments for ordering their food and drinks. The massive adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are unstoppable and it's so contagious that you cannot contain it even if the government wants to ban it.

Recently, someone posted the news that something similar had opened up in Mexico, and the idea seems to be spreading rapidly through Central and South America. The reason is of course the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies and the fact that some see an opportunity to profit from it, whether by opening such themed cafes or by setting up crypto ATMs.

Since the link is in Spanish, it is not possible to find out more information about what exactly will be happening there, whether the lectures will be free and whether it will be exclusively about Bitcoin or whether it will also deal with altcoins.

I think this is the new wave that is happening right now, Central and South America are leading the way now. If I'm not mistaken, Asia like Japan, South Korea, China and parts of Southeast Asia becoming the hub.

Now the focus has shift already started by El Salvador and spreading across that continent. So I guess we can say that this is good for adoption although we are still far away from achieving it, although this is a good start for this year.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm currently in SouthEast Asia(Philippines, specifically) and I'm really not seeing a "new wave" outside of Binance speculators. Heck, I personally haven't seen a single brick-and-mortar store that accepts Bitcoin.

These type of news is not about the place itself, it is about the laws and the regulations. This means that the place itself could maybe not sell a single cup of coffee for bitcoin and it would still be a great news, why? Because it means that they are legally allowed to sell for bitcoin as well as regular fiat, and that news is the thing that matters the most.

This would mean that in Argentina you could open up a shop that could sell things for bitcoin and that is in the law, if it wasn't then they wouldn't be able to do that in this cafe neither. This idea itself is the thing that we are hyped about, not the fact that there is a place where you can buy a coffee.
