There are still a very few of those politicians that really have the intention to help and you can see that they're not corrupt based on their living. But as much as you can, you stay away from politics.

It's totally a mess game for those who have been there and knows how to touch and play the ball.

You'll never know who's your enemy and friend. Today, you may be friends but tomorrow, they are your rivals.

There are no permanent friends or enemies in Politics, , only interest is permanent,  this is very famous quote and proved true time and time again . It is true that politics is a mess specially in 3rd world countries where accountability of politicians is almost  impossible because  the whole governing system is corrupted by politicians for their own vested interests.

This is why limited government and democracy is important. If you believe humans are inherently corrupt, limit their scope and curtail their political influence. Democracy doesn't actually exist in Russia so limited governance doesn't apply.

I think you are right to some extent because human behavior is influenced by gene and environments but not necessarily we will do what our father or forefathers did during their life time  if we are brought up in a different environment. Though son of a murderer will have genetic tendency to murder but not necessarily he will murder if  he is surrounded by noble people who are patient and hate to commit any kind of crime.

a) Weak political institutions: Most African political systems can be easily manipulated. The executive can easily manipulate the judiciary and legislature. This has made many politicians despotic. So when good men are given too much power they become power drunk this is because absolute power corrupts absolutely.

b) Public mentality: It is generally believed that politics enriches. Hence, everyone believe that when you get any Political position you are meant to acquire wealth by any means. You would be insulted by your family members and community if you do not enrich yourself, family, and friends. The his has forced men of integrity to become corrupt.
  

Actually, in countries where the unemployment rate is higher or worker's salaries are lower, political manipulation is very common. Everybody needs money to live their life, so when they do not find any legal way, the illegal procedure is the only option.

This type of corrupt mindset can only be fixed with spiritual speech. People with spiritual beliefs are higher and they listen to their religious leader. I think only a religious leader can get rid of corruption in our society.

               What you said really does make sense and I fully agree to it. Most politicians nowadays only run for the sake of their personal agendas. While there are some that really want to make a change and help the country improve and progress, these type of people are very few nowadays. What's worse is that most of these good people do not win because most of the time people believe the crap from the corrupt ones. And even when the good ones win, they become tempted to be corrupt in the long run.

               But what if a good politician really does win and stays true to his morals while serving the public whole heartedly? It will make too little to no difference. Why? Because people do not know how to get satisfied. There will always be people wanting more to the extent of being spoonfed. Not to mention the opposite political parties that are too bitter to support and help the winning candidate of the other political party.

               And wanna know what's even worse than this? The way politics influences the people making close friends, relatives and even families go into conflict just because of having different political views from one another. And all these are being witnessed by the children and are then carried by them into adulthood. Sigh, There is just no fixing this world anymore. -.-

There are two kinds of people in this world:
1. Normal people, who are kinda humble at heart;

One thing people dont understand about handling a political office is that, they seem to forget its there tenor. Your the one in the fvcking seat and not some guy by the corner that gives you directives or advices or wants his or her will to be done because he or she happened to have assisted your coming into the office in the first place.      I don't think so from my understanding, I see politicians as people who are not qualified to be leaders,meaning they are incompetent of the public offices they are holding.  They don't know the duties and responsibilities of the office they are been voted for.
       For instance,if you are going for an interview, you will be interviewed base on your field. A pilot can't say he is a pilot when he can't fly a plane,or not knowing how and when to land.He will end up crashing himself and the passengers on board.This is how politicians are,they think that how to lead people is by looting public funds for themselves and their families alone.
   They don't have the proper knowledge of a true politician. A true politician will always think put his people first, he will do everything to satisfy them first because he knows they are his duties and responsibilities. These present days politicians are scammers, robbers and criminals in disguise but we all think  they are politicians.
   We pray to God to give every country leaders that will liberate the people from hardship and poverty.
