NGreedia is done for. The entire AMD lineup will be significantly more power-efficient this generation for gaming. The top-end Navi 31 die will match the RTX 4090 in gaming performance while using 20-30% less power and being cheaper to make than the huge Nvidia 800mm+ monolith die.

However, all 3 manufacturers will offer poor memory bandwidth. This means current-gen cards will still be the most economical for mining and will hold their value as long as PoS is delayed & we're in a crab or bull market.

AMD’s products have been kicking nvidia’s ass for a while now. The Radeon VII is still the best GPU I own and outperforms the 3xxx GPUs I have that came out much later. Nvidia has good software and I’d give them the advantage there. As far as which GPUs I’ve found to be the best after mining for more than a decade, Radeon products are hands down the clear favorite. Nvidia is a bigger company though, so don’t expect them to be “done” anytime soon.

AMD graphics cards were the best for mining ethereum, and ethereum is still the largest coin for mining. On other algorithms, AMD loses a lot. In the gaming segment, gamers prefer to use Nvidia. After the end of Ethereum mining, the situation may change not in favor of AMD.

Now a very good price for video cards GeForce RTX3060 TI

2 RTX3060 TI video cards are more profitable in mining than one RTX3090 TI video card. If the 4000 series does not make outstanding results in mining, then the 3000 series will be popular in mining for a long time.

I think Nvidia somewhat rushed into producing the 4000 series although their production cycle is once every year for the main GPU-s.Seeing the popularity of both 2000 and 3000 series still it is only natural for them to delay even further the 4000 series.

Gamers may complain but I think gamers should not complain, the 3090 24 GB is capable of running anything paired with a good processor. For the miners,we would be happy to see the soonest the 4000 series hitting the market which would cause another drop in price in the 2000 and 3000 series,of course if 4000 perform well but I think that will be highly likely.

The RTX 3080/3090 series prices would be hit the hardest by the new generation. They have been the cards that have held their value the worst so far, with the RTX 3090 being $3000 last year but now you can get them for only $1000. The RTX 3080 10GB was $2000+ but now just $650.

Some AMD models like the RX 5000 series will suffer greatly because they're not good at non-ETH coins and are heavily used by miners. Radeon in general is more exposed to the crypto market.

I envy you, in my country it costs 900-1000 dollars.

I remember the suggested retail price for the RTX 3090 was around $1500.

Thank you, but these products will not be delivered to my country at the moment. This is a good price for such a video card, because it will be relevant in games and mining for a very long time. Are there any risks when buying these video cards? I prefer to do tests before buying used video cards.

I don't think the RTX 3090 will be relevant for either games or mining for very long. That's why it's price has dropped like a stone. The RTX 3060 Ti will.

I have bought 100+ used video cards any only 1 or 2 had a problem that the seller refused to fix. I will not buy new video cards unless the premium is < 5% greater than used.

If you are a usa buyer and purchase a used 3060ti on ebay from a usa seller you have about a week or two to return it if it is broken.

I grabbed a 3060ti FE model 60 days ago used on ebay.

it works fine i will go back and check price.

the last 15 months I grabbed 3 cards on ebay used all work well.

I have had more problems with new video cards than used ones. In total, I have purchased 150 used / 300 new GPUs over the past 6 years. The new ones had a DOA rate of 2-3% while the used were only DOA 1% of the time.

The website citing their own sources claims that as soon as this week NVIDIA will be officially lowering the prices of their RTX 30 high-end models. The price cut seemingly only affects premium cards (RTX 3080+) with no mention of cheaper cards being affected.

According to this information, RTX 3090 Ti would cost 1499 USD, a reduction of 500 USD from still official MSRP. The RTX 3090 non-Ti would cost 200 USD less with a new price tag of 1299 USD. Furthermore, RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080 12GB prices would also be affected. One can expect at least 100 USD lower price for the 3080 Ti model and new price of 3080 12GB (which never had an official MSRP).

I received video cards from miners, they had lower hashrate or it crashed during overclocking. Such situations are very common. The end date for Ethereum mining has been announced and the suggested prices are dropping. Perhaps in September new video cards will be very cheap.

philipma1957, thanks.
