I was asked to give a presentation on Bitcoin. I initially said, "Probably not," because I don't consider myself an expert on all the aspects of Bitcoin. But is there a good presentation available that goes into it? Maybe powerpoint or a video or something? I'm looking for something a little more in depth than "What is Bitcoin?" but not so technical it loses people. I may do it if I can find something suitable. They knew about it, but weren't sure exactly what they could do with it.

I'm also planing on doing a presentation and was wondering if there wasn't already some pre-made bullet point subject I could use. Not too technical.
I know if I don't have material to follow it will get technical very fast and I'll lose everyone.

I found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIg7LeE5-a4. I haven't finished it, but it seemed good so far. And then this guy who mentioned Bitcoin in his presentation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4792.0.

step one: know your audience
can you provide any details of who (general speaking) this talk will be for?

www.urbanrethink.org Which I don't know a huge amount about. But from the individuals I talked to and what their website looks like, they seem pretty blue.

How technical should the presentation be?
Enough to satisfy inquiring minds but not too technical to make people lose interest. They're not technical people and most of them just know that Bitcoins exist.

Print out some physical bitcoin with a small amount and tape them under the seats. If you get to a point where you see TEGO, have them retrieve them and tell them that someday they may be worth a lot.

I can make the PowerPoint slides available for you if you would like them. Those slides would be a great primer. One can add in additional ones to expand on the points in the manner appropriate for their audience. If you don't mind I'd like them as well. I get bugged asked several times a year to give 'technical' talks to the local board of county commisioners here, amongst other things and this would be something new and different to present to them. Cheers

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

That's actually an excellent outline and emphasizes some great points, like the identity theft and fraud things. Edit: I'd like to get my hands on this. Could you send it to me also?
