Actually, there's a lot of new coins around that are beating against bitcoin, but the only difference is that these coins have been generated out of greed and so their existence are just only short term, and eventually lose their value. But with bitcoin, though its also highly expensive and highly valuable, but there is more than that, and that its utility cases is very high that makes its community demand grow as well.

For now, i would say that bitcoin still dominates the market and has the brightest future in the crypto market, and there has been no other coin that defeats its demand.

it can be said that bitcoin is still the king of all existing altcoins. Bitcoin is still not fully mined and currently there are only 1,906,232 BTC that have not been mined and will likely run out in 2140.

Bitcoin's journey is still long, in the next 10 years there will still be some bitcoins left and bitcoin prices are getting more expensive because they are getting rare. Higher demand with limited supply.
10 years from now the new ATH will be more than the current ATH or the next ATH.

I also believe that bitcoin will be here to stay in the next few years. I think it will still exist 10 years from now and even more. This is because bitcoin already withstood the test of time. Nothing comes even close to Bitcoin. Most alts only trade because people want to make some quick money out of it, they lack fundamentals. So in the end the people that started the Alta eventually sell and the people that bought those coins end up funding their retirement.

The future is unpredictable, but looking back 10 years have passed, there is still no altcoin that can replace bitcoin's dominance. Bitcoin was originally created by satoshi as an alternative payment method to existing fiat and he makes bitcoin not for profit. But user demand and usage have turned bitcoin into an asset, a commodity rather than a currency and along with the scarcity of bitcoin, the advancement of technology, the demand for bitcoin has increased causing the price of this coin to increase as well.

Unlike bitcoin, altcoins are made for profit and not a payment method like bitcoin. They think as long as they are more expensive than bitcoin they can replace bitcoin and that makes them more speculative than a superior product like bitcoin.

Altcoins have been trying to compete with bitcoin but we all know that most of them still end up being undervalued, and some of them did not even manage to recover after a bear market. bitcoin for now and in the next 10 years I think it will be irreplaceable for its position, because basically bitcoin is the mother of all crypto, let alone exceeds its value, if you compare eth and other altcoins I think it just makes sense and can become reality , eth is surpassed by other altcoins
