There's this guy which I need to send a payment to and he said he's only accepting payments through cash app. Since I said I was going to pay him using litecoin, he said he can receive bitcoin in his cash app account only. So I've checked to see how much I'd pay in network fees, and the fee is too much. I tried to search for an alternative, but couldn't find any. Can anyone help me think about something to help solve this issue?

Which wallet you having use ? If you use a non-custodial wallet like Trust wallet , Electrum etc if you use this type of wallet then there is a very low gas fee, it's cost about some cents . Even then you can use custodial like FTX exchanger which have no cost for Bitcoin transaction .

I don't use (or like, for that matter) Cash App, but it is surprising that, if I understand correctly, that you can send BTC payments through it.

If it provides you with a BTC address then you do not have to use that particular app for sending transactions, you can use any other wallet that allows you to customize the fee and just insert the address in there.

This means there's hope for me, I just need to know a way that is easy for him to use with a business account.
If he wants you to pay him in bitcoin, then it doesn't matter what platform he is using - you will always have to pay the exact same withdrawal fee from Uphold. If you don't want to pay that fee then your options are limited to either withdrawing a different coins and then converting it to bitcoin as Loyce has suggested, or paying the one off fee to get all your bitcoin off of Uphold and in to a proper wallet, from which you can then pay him in a normal transaction costing a couple of cents instead of >$10.

If you want him to accept an altcoin instead of bitcoin, then there is no point him doing so through Uphold since the same withdrawal fee for bitcoin still exists after he converts said altcoin. You'll also have to convince him why he should accept some trash altcoin instead of bitcoin.
