Buying land in SHIB: The Metaverse

On Wednesday, the Shiba Inu team took to Twitter to reveal that the SHIB token could now be used to mint parcels of land in the recently unveiled virtual reality project “SHIB: The Metaverse.”

According to Cointelegraph, here are 100,595 different pieces of land on offer in the SHIB: The Metaverse. Initially it was only possible to purchase land using ETH. Now, SHIB’s integration into the metaverse project makes it possible to not only purchase land, but grants users added customization options for their virtual land as well.

Landowners in the SHIB: The Metaverse will be able to generate passive income, gather in-game resources, and generate rewards, although these are yet to be revealed.

Directly, SHIB is granted more opportunities to be a good coin for holding and trading.

I just aware about this announcement but it seems like that this announcement didn't give positive impact to the price as the price is still stable at this moment without even a small pump that can happen with this token. There are more than 100k lands and that's quite a lot but not if we compare with total holders of shiba inu. Just waiting for the teaser for the shiba inu metaverse. This can become something big.

I don't know. I would say that Shiba Inu is pretty late for hoping on the Metaverse Hype Train now as this trend is not really that big anymore nowadays. In the end i would guess that there will only be a few metaverse projects still alive in a few years from now and i would guess that those projects are the ones that are already live now or close to being live, like Decentraland, Sandbox, Victoria VR and Bloktopia for example. For me it seems like Shiba Inu is trying desperately to create news in order to stay in the focus of the public because in the end Shiba Inu is just another meme-coin without a use case and i don't think that Metaverse will change anything about that.

The market in general is down, but in real sense of it, now is like the best time to invest in promising project. Buying an nft land in a reputable metaverse project is good for future reward, in the case of shiba inu, i don't think that i will like to buy land in shib just because of the simple reason shiba inu is a meme coin and i don't know the essence of the land sale since the project was not design in that aspect. To me i would rather buy a land from a reputable metavase project with the background knowledge of how the metverse space operate. just my opinion.

It can be seen from how this land announcement didn't work so well for the price. It's hard to believe that shiba army didn't even make it as a big thing when bored app can trigger the price used the deedland minting event and the different case with shiba inu that is still stable right now. You must also see that if everything looks very clear right now if the metaverse is not so hot anymore.
For some reasons and the hype around the metaverse like ape even bigger than shiba inu right now.

It is a good development but I am afraid that there will be many people interested in this movie. Metaverse is now in a downtrend. Even Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook/Meta is being doubted by their own employees. People were too hype to realize that it was just another financial trend to trap newbies and weak hand investors.

On the other hand, I have to admit that thanks to such trends, people are more willing to push technology to go further. Many infrastructures have been built and Metaverse right now has a solid foundation for further advancement. But as an old investor, I do not consider this moment a good time to invest in any web3, metaverse coin. Bitcoin, Ethereum, or stable is a much safer option.

The question is why now? We are slowing heading into a very tough beat market any good news like this won't have big impact anymore, I think they should just hold their plans till another good bull season is here, its no deny that we are going into a very bearish state in crypto space once again.

When the real world market is down, people are buying virtual lands! Is there any end to this stupidity? Ig someone has so much money to buy land parcel in virtual land, I would rather request them to buy a land in real life. That's a better investment that just makes sense!

Come out of imagination guys! This virtual market is already bleeding after the initial excitement. This metaverse nonsense will die a bloody death sooner than later. If you have money, invest in real land, gold etc.

This is just like an accepting new token to purchase a land and doesn’t affect directly with the SHIB and that’s why the price remains the same and SHIB can’t make a good hype again just because of this announcement. SHIB team should develop great things on their own, they have to grow as a meme token and maybe offer its best utility and with this Metaverse update, I guess SHIB still need more time before it recovers.

This is something that already been waiting by shiba community since a long time ago but the hype didn't so big like what i have expected in the past There's no clear reason what kind of utility that will bring from this land in the shiba metaverse. As far as i know if just used shiba to buy land can't be catagorized as a utility. It's only used for the payment system. that's why the hype was not so big like what already imagined by so many people. Shiba was also too late to launch the announcement as well. Waiting for futher announcement about what will be the purpose of land on shiba metaverse and if this doesn't have utility and the result will be the same.

Without real gameplay it's hard to say it's something worthful. Most crypto projects (ICOs, NFTs, Metaverses) are scams, so we can't really expect a developer is telling the truth when saying you will be able to buy lands in a virtual world to work virtually and generate income inside this platform without showing proof of that. In my opinion someone developing a "Metaverse", that is actually just a virtual online game, should deliver at least an Alpha or Beta phase before asking for money from investors.

It would be great to see a concept like this working for real in a sustainable way, while keeping bots and scammers away from the game, but I have the feeling it's not happening yet... Moreover, you can't be too careful when talking about SHIB related projects. Many people have already lost money with this memecoin and those who keep insisting on it are likely to be the next victims.

I think this is an extraordinary breakthrough made by shiba. they see opportunity in the metaverse. with them buying land there they will have the opportunity to expand their project to the metaverse. I think this is a good way and a good idea for shiba and can outperform doge
