I remembered that not so long ago I wrote a guide to cryptocurrency and blockchain. I was trying to keep it simple and plain, so even your grandma can understand it, hopefully. I kept it on my laptop and forgot about it. I just wanted to share with you, no strings attached, after all, I did spend days researching and writing it, at least it might help someone. So here it is, feel free to share, reuse, whatever (but at least leave some credits): PDF guide

So here it is, feel free to share, reuse, whatever (but at least leave some credits): PDF guideI mean its nice that you have get all this Informations together in one PDF ! But as you have written for giving Credits when it will be used why you dont have given credits on your PDF from the real Source you got it ? From your PDF:crypto wallets keep your private keys – the passwords that give you access to your cryptocurrencies – safe and accessible, allowing you to send and receive cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. From https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-is-a-crypto-walletCrypto wallets keep your private keys – the passwords that give you access to your cryptocurrencies – safe and accessible, allowing you to send and receive cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. From your PDF:This makes sending, receiving, and using your crypto as easy as using any online bank account or payment system.
From https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-is-a-crypto-walletThis makes sending, receiving, and using your crypto as easy as using any online bank account, payment system, or brokerage.
And this goes so on and on in your PDF but there is no Source Link to https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-is-a-crypto-walletSo i think this PDF is just a simple copy and paste thing from other Websites and not really your one work.

I accept your hate At the end it doesn't matter, I'm not selling it. It's just a simple PDF that I wrote, nothing more, nothing less. I don't expect anything from it, I don't plan to sell it, I'm not even crypto enthusiast or fan. I just wrote that while educating myself

In the end it does matter and has also nothing to do if you selling it or not . Its just because you asking for credits when somebody will use it and you even not give credits to others that have done that work already. If you are not an crypto enthusiast or fan why you are here now ? Makes all no sense.

It does matter either you are an enthusiast or not. It is a shame, you even put yourself (twitter account) as the author and then most of those info are plagiarize. Well, you have still time to fix things, just include the reference and sources of those info and update your pdf.

External Information We cannot consider sites such as coinbase.com/learn, Binance Learn, ByBit Learn, etc. to be sources of information and therefore not references for academic stuff. I also prefer that it be called an encyclopedia, since you can look for more information and then refer that information to references. As for plagiarism, it may get the user into legal problems, but I think that articles on sites like coinbase/Binance are open source but you need to check about information.

On top of that, you are finding reasons why it shouldn't be done instead of doing the right thing. Plagiarism means copying someone else's work and pretending it's your own. The copying part isn't a problem. But pretending and saying "I wrote it" is. We cannot consider sites such as coinbase.com/learn, Binance Learn, ByBit Learn, etc. to be sources of information and therefore not references for academic stuff. Whatever sources you use, should be mentioned. That way, you have done your part.

In addition to the OP's plagiarism, one could offer him a link to the Virus Total service that checked his PDF file. I have read so many times that it is not recommended to open files of this type. Therefore, even if I wanted to teach my grandmother the basics of cryptocurrency, I would not risk opening this file. https://gorillapdf.com/blog/can-pdf-files-have-viruses/

I accept your hate Wow, where is it "hate"? Lafu has just pointed out to you why you should be marking it where it is from, linking a source. You are claiming it is written by you, which is not true! At the end it doesn't matter, I'm not selling it. It's just a simple PDF that I wrote, nothing more, nothing less. I don't expect anything from it, I don't plan to sell it, I'm not even crypto enthusiast or fan. I just wrote that while educating myself
It does not matter if you want to sell it or don't want to sell it. Some accounts might send you a Merit as a reward and Merit is very hard to receive. Your attempt is not nice at all to people writing unique content. You have stolen content and passed it as your own content here by writing: I remembered that not so long ago I wrote a guide to cryptocurrency and blockchain. I was trying to keep it simple and plain, so even your grandma can understand it, hopefully.
I kept it on my laptop and forgot about it. I just wanted to share with you, no strings attached, after all, I did spend days researching and writing it, at least it might help someone.
You are liar and got busted! So here it is, feel free to share, reuse, whatever (but at least leave some credits): PDF guideYou are even requiring people to leave some credit for YOU from content you have STOLEN? LMAO get real! People writing own texts are very welcome at Bitcointalk but people passing someone else's content as own content are not welcome.

No one is hating on you. On the contrary, they are looking out for you and trying to correct you when you've obviously done the wrong thing. You mentioned you wrote that while educating yourself. While it's obvious you didn't write all that and have now been found out, you should listen to what is being said by other members and get educated some more. As you so desperately want to be given credit for your work, give credit to articles and journals written by others as well. It's only fair If you're not a crypto enthusiast, what are you doing registered on a platform that discusses cryptocurrencies?

No, my point is that good sources of information should be taken if you intend to share knowledge, all the sources that were mentioned cannot be accredited as a source, they have some misinformation and therefore you do not share 100% correct information yet you adopt it as a source. if someone writes a high-quality and elaborate topic and does not share the source with his diligence for the bulk of the topic, people may sue for plagiarism and leave the right to the author, but to publish inaccurate information and the sources are not of quality, this is the problem.

Checked this document myself just now. From the first few sections, I can conclude that the majority of the content was copied from other sources. And not just as inspiration, but as a word-for-word copy. There is clear plagiarism involved. The blockchain is a file that contains a list of every bitcoin transaction ever made. ~ The blockchain tells you how many bitcoins each person owns. ~ Because transactions aren’t added to the file individually. Instead, they are bunched together and added in blocks. Hence, blockchain.
In a decentralized blockchain network, no one has to know or trust anyone else. Each member in the network has a copy of the exact same data in the form of a distributed ledger. If a member’s ledger is altered or corrupted in any way, it will be rejected by the majority of the members in the network. Decentralized blockchains are immutable, which means that the data entered is irreversible. And so it goes on and on. Basically, from what I can tell, almost every sentence has been copied from other sources on the web. So OP, it is unfair to imply that you wrote something even though you know that it is not true. You may have researched various sources and compiled content for this piece, but you don't have the right to claim ownership of someone else's work and deny the rights of the original authors. The least you can do is acknowledge the authors, provide the source for your source material and correct the falsehood you are claiming.

So is twitter account @JustTechGuy mentioned in this pdf document actually you or not? I don't think grandmas or grandpas can read 16 pages of document like this and learn much about Bitcoin and crypto, but I could be totally wrong. Few things I would do to address criticism you received in forum from other members, maybe add source links for text you used or copied and place it on the bottom pages, most of page 16 is blank anyway. I would focus on Bitcoin first, instead of adding altcoins in mix that will just confuse grandmas even more, and take some time to make updates and simplify it as much as possible. PS Learn to accept criticism

Therefore, even if I wanted to teach my grandmother the basics of cryptocurrency, I would not risk opening this file. https://gorillapdf.com/blog/can-pdf-files-have-viruses/Yeah i also don't want to open these files but you know we can scan for them first of all and then after we have done it properly we can open these files to have a look at it.But as you said about virus there are recently cases of pdf phising scams that can drain your wallets like Metamask through the browser extension and when you click on them they wi redirect you to some fake websites injecting malware in your device. So it's good to stay away from it. So is twitter account @JustTechGuy mentioned in this pdf document actually you or not?
It could be for him as the account has been setup only few weeks back in March 2022 and have the same post mentioned in the @OP : https://twitter.com/JustTechGuy/status/1522555294991142912?t=ZIiEFSu1ILDLvSe56HppKQ&s=19The last tweet is also 5 days back only with normal post and we know it's easy to setup Twitter account not a hard one. I would focus on Bitcoin first, instead of adding altcoins in mix that will just confuse grandmas even more, and take some time to make updates and simplify it as much as possible.
Right because most of the altcoins are shitcoins trying to copy bitcoin but have failed miserably with different mechanisms like POS,POH and others but true decentralisation is with only bitcoin that has made this revolutionary step in financial market so giving them exposure to the right coin is the thing we can do. I accept your hate
At the end it doesn't matter, I'm not selling it. It's just a simple PDF that I wrote, nothing more, nothing less. I don't expect anything from it, I don't plan to sell it, I'm not even crypto enthusiast or fan. I just wrote that while educating myself
Citing out that you have copied the article from someone else is not hate at all but only showing the reality to the readers that you are not the rightful publisher of the article and appraisal should be given to him not you. Moreover you are on the forum and it's highly against the rules to plagiarise without the source what you have done. Suppose you have made some projects as you are devloper from from your Twitter profile but some company is using it without paying you or mentioning in the credits and you complain about it will it be hate of you towards company?
