If someone has really sent you bitcoin, the transaction is final and there is no need to pay any transaction fee. So, he/she hasn't sent you any bitcoin.
Also, a normal bitcoin transaction doesn't need that high transaction fee.

Can you be more specific please? I guess someone is trying to scam you.
Anyone asking you to send bitcoin to receive more is a scammer.

It's a scam! Don't pay anything.

Yes, give us more details, but it is a scam. It turns out that someone gives you $2,000 but you have to pay first? You're the second one I've seen in a short time. Good thing you're not asking for a loan.

Yeah, as if you need a screenshot to know you've received money. It's a scam and don't pay any arbitrary fees. May I assume you're into any promising telegram groups?

As mentioned someone sent me $2000 worh btc but the confirmation fee is $110 and been saying i have to pay the confirmation cost what shall i do.

In any circumstances, anything or anybody claiming that you have (or received) money (or bitcoin), but asks you deposit more in order to access/withdraw that money is a scam.
If there would be any money there, they could use part of that for processing the withdrawal.

They sent me a screenshot of 0.04004 BTC transfered in my trust wallet from coinbase with confirmation fee 0.0025BTC $110 with a confirmation address and as far as i know the confirmation fee should have been deducted after i received the amount but he keeps on saying i have to pay the confirmation fee upfront to get the transaction done.

A screenshot can be manipulated/faked. An unconfirmed transaction may be able to get reverted.
Even more, Coinbase (and any exchange) uses parts of the money to process the withdrawal.
Don't be so naive.

The beginning of a scam can be known and sensed to be a scam. Like you are not supposed to receive any money because you do not work for it and the scammer wanted to send you money without you two doing any business, and that you have not even met the person in real life before and not a reputable member anywhere in a way if he scammed you, you can not link the scam to his real identity. Definitely, it is a scam that should be avoided. Because of greediness, people are scammed in this way.

it's now a common scam. hundreds to thousands of people probably have received such email including me. if you don't remember you have an account on the platform they were saying, it's definitely a scam.

it did made me smile when an email was sent to me of course i was interested but paying to confirm a transaction is not how Bitcoin works. the sender is not so bold but considering thousands of people sending him $110, that's a load of scam money.

You should report this to goLance.

the sender is not so bold but considering thousands of people sending him $110, that's a load of scam money.
It's the modern version of the "Nigerian prince" scam email. Scammers prey on gullible people's greed.

This is just one more trick they are doing to scam people, and spin off is they usually send link to discord or telegram congratulating for received money on some unknown fake exchange.
They ask you to register on this website, and when you try to withdraw coins but you will receive error asking you to first send one deposit to be able to withdraw...
Same scam in different package, so you should watch out for all messages from unknown people.

Scammers often use this technique to trick naive victims. Don't be fooled by these screenshots. Whatever you do, do not send money to scammers.

Another common method is that they show you a false balance on a website, such as an exchange or investment platform, but you must first pay a fee to withdraw the funds. These are fake sites, and you have no balance there. Any money you pay goes to scammers.

Yeah, as if you need a screenshot to know you've received money. It's a scam and don't pay any arbitrary fees. May I assume you're into any promising telegram groups?

Scammers (that is, people who spend their lives on a chair miserably trying to rob people via telegram) harvest members of Telegram groups and use multiple accounts to mass-DM the members. Usually the groups are related to finance or the official groups of some coin, but which are no way related to scamming.

They usually write something like "Hello"  or perhaps a more elaborate message and immediately talk about finance and "helping" you.

My life experience has tought me that nobody on the internet wants to help you with anything, not for a charity or business purpose.

To cover their tracks they sometimes change their name and profile picture to resemble that of another fake person.

My life experience has tought me that nobody on the internet wants to help you with anything, not for a charity or business purpose.
On the other hand, many people on the internet want to help you with information. The tricky part is filtering out the scammers from the honest information.
