Bitcoin was outperformed by Alternative coins on Tuesday!

Is not it a common thing for now? i meant look at gainers and loosers on CMC. These new tokens were also outperform the major coins that dumped so hard. So many new tokens were recently listed were also so stable unlike the major coins in the market that got dumped so hard to the bottom.
Even when majority of new tokens were doing sideway but this look good rather than dumped. I think that this is happening so many times. You must not be surprised to see that

they have their time to shine but ask yourself, can they sustain this position? because most of them have short lifespan and so what you are seeing today, may not be seen the next day or so. so don't be tempted by the sudden rise of some alts because most of them are not sustainable. better look for the reason why the alt is existing.

The truth is that some people only care about the short term profits they can get and nothing more, it is because of this that they can make such superficial comparisons and see that an altcoin has outperformed bitcoin during the last 24 hours and somehow think that something like this can be sustained, when we know that is not possible and in most of those cases when you see a coin that is pumping it is not rare to see that coin dumping during the next days and then never recover from such crash.

People always speculate on the price of bitcoin as per their own expectations. They can only think about the price that they want bitcoin to be. That is the reason many facts and indications are ignored when we are thinking about the price. Bitcoin is moving sideways and we could see a long pump and dump situation in bitcoin chart.

I believe that we should be doing a bit better when compared to people who are doing short term profits when long term people like me are considered.

I get that they may or may not make a big profit in the short term, and even if they do like 2x in the short term, if they keep doing that they are not going to be making that kind of profit many times back to back to back, eventually they will lose money and that will be a bit of a trouble for them. Whereas when you are doing a long term investment then even though it drops time to time, you will be in profit if it has been a while since you invested. Imagine someone who invested 5 years ago, they would be in big profit even after the big drop we had recently.

Bitcoin is the one that can influence the market, so i don't think alts can outperform bitcoin since most of them don't have enough market cap to influence the main currency. It's the first cryptocurrency so i don't know if its possible to happen. Actually i've made research and i found out that bitcoin only is the one that can manipulate the whole market when there's a panic selling.

There are tons of tokens that has price jump more than Bitcoin, but the biggest market cap is still bitcoin, and that's what matters. A huge price increase does not always means the project is good, sometimes it's pump and dump scenario. More Market Cap means better liquidity, and that means more people believe in the project, so don't just look at the price when you are considering on an investment.
