I would go for bitcoin at this time and since I already got my target buy price triggered once, I am now waiting for the market to either go down a lot or go big, because I know that it will be back up 10x of what it went down with.

For me a deep and long bear market is the best opportunity to invest into crypto projects that i would not normally invest in because early investors already made a x100 or even more on their initial investment. That is the reason why i usually don't buy any tokens of the big projects like ethereum, polkadot, solana, cosmos and so on, but after a long bear market those projects could be in my buying range again. At the moment we are still a bit away from that to be honest but we will see where this bear market is heading and if it is over again pretty soon or if we will have more bloody months to come. Investing into very small projects is dangerous now though as there is always the chance that they won't survive a long bear market.

This is actually happening these days where people are buying different altcoins which are just being hyped without even doing research. Not because it's on trend it doesn't mean that a coin has the potential to reach a good price when the market recovers. It is true that the bear market is an opportunity for us to buy cheaply our favorite coins but let's not forget when the bear market and bitcoin drop too deeply, many coins just can't continue. OP's point is just warning people, in a bear market if you want to buy do your research and don't buy without doing your research. Even the top coins can die during bear season.

It's not even in this bear market, even in normal market we have seen quite similar projects using this kind of bait to scam and attract more blind investors to fund their robbery. If there are unknown projects out there claiming to be one of those, then just make sure to do some research first and don't invest it blindly for your own sake.

When the market plummets most coins will drop very deeply and I have seen many people calling this a good time to buy because of the price drop. That is indeed true if we are trying to fill with bitcoin but it is very risky if you choose altcoins or shitcoins. Many alts will not be able to bounce back from a strong bear market, as the recent crash of Luna proves. Was rated as a potential top 10 coin on coingecko but it was completely dumped in 4 days from ATH of $119 and current price of $0.0004. This is the end for Luna. When the market goes down, only bitcoin and bitcoin are worth buying, be careful with the rest.

unlike certain coin that gets a massive correction, BTC and ETH have been through so many bearish and bullish that you could almost be certain that these two coin, even if having massive correction, will eventually going back.

Yeah! I was close to falling into this kind of trap because they know what they're doing when they promote those shitcoins and have all the notes to fool their investors. You guys better be careful because these people will not gonna be the same once they get what they want they will gonna disappear and they will not answer your questions on their Telegram. Those are few in number that have any utility in the market and are helpful to a person who owns them. New altcoins are mostly not having a clear roadmap or a generic one which is only a placeholder, to be changed every few months until finally the project decides to stop doing anything and ghost its investors. That is the reality of majority of shitcoin out there, investing in which is a sure shot loss unless you are able to dump as the pump happens. Very risky indeed and not recommended to any newbie reading this.

Buy when there is a chance to buy, but buy reasonably good coins that have a track record and have been time-tested. Not the shitcoin that some random creep on telegram told you about.
