I havent been able to load the metmask app and I wonder do I need to verfiy the wallet connect or is this a scam? please let me know if you are sure one wayy or the othrer.

What coin do you need a wallet for?
Try to figure out why metamask is not working for you, this wallet is decentralized and does not require KYC.
or try other wallets and learn about scammers

Walletconnect name or domain.

Already being used a lot scammer to scam people, in telegram, discord or other resources with cryptocurrency topic. Most of them targeting people with wallet problem or try to be support assistance. Sometimes, they also target IDO platform too.

My suggestion, avoid this kind of message and only follow official resources. If you can't load your Apps, then tried to restart or re-uninstal or you can try to tested with Extension Apps in your Laptop/PC device..

I received such a message on my email regarding Trust Wallet, so these are undoubtedly scams. Never click on the phishing links they sent you in the email and never put private key or wallet seed words on these sites. Do not download any wallet applications on your phone except through the official sites, as there are many fake applications on Google Play and on the fake sites. Please be careful

If it is a decentralized wallet then there's no need for KYC before you can use their wallet. If you are not sure about the domain then better stay away from that site as it could be a scam site pretending to be the real site you just visited. I also receive an email regarding TrustWallet but to be honest, I don't have any problemsw with Trustawallet so that's why I know it's a scam attempt to get my funds out of my wallet.
