You're right, not all youtube influencers are spreading false information because some of them are giving correct info that can be use as reference, though having our own research is necessary. Thats why its a must to only follow these youtubers who are creating informative and helpful content.

Anyway we're still in bear market now and coins are decreasing in price. Converting your alts to Bitcoin and Eth are a wise move because they're establish and you dont have to worry that it will turn to shitcoins or be delisted in exchanges.

I personally don't believe in youtuber. Because I have seen that most of the time the opposite happens to what they suggest. So I myself do not listen to Youটube especially on investment. I try to do what is in my mind. YouTubers usually try to get subscribers to their channel. The investment is completely yours, so you have to take the profit and loss, but if you loss your assets by others suggestion, the pain is greater. So it is better avoid them.

It's understandable that holding btc and good altcoins like ethereum and Solana are great, but I believe it would have been much better if you had converted to USDT or other stable coin and bought btc like now at a much reduced value. If you have decision to hold for long term, then you've made the right decision as the value of Bitcoin would still correct and hit a higher ATH before long.

Did you mean you converted them to these coins and later sold to stable coins or are you still holding up till now? If so then maybe you are not in profit. Not every youtuber is a scammer there are some of them that are doing pretty well. Another thing you should note is that they are not project owners so you also should do your own research and decide only by yourself and stand by it.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with that because it's emotions that drive us to do all kinds of things. Crypto is an emotionally driven market so you will often find yourself making decisions based on fear or greed.

As for me, I've decided to stick with BTC and ETH, as I use them more often. I also have several SOL in my portfolio. Bitcoin Cash and Monero are also worth it, but I don't plan to invest much in them. XRP doesn't really appeal to me either, though it's pretty popular right now. so anything that improves the protocol and adds value to your investment do it and this will be relevant for you going forward.

Congratulations, a smart decision. Holding bitcoin and ethereum at the moment is safer than any coin even with stable coin. we may lose if we hold btc and eth for the time being but in the long run they recover and we can still make a substantial profit. as long as you hold it. Don't sell for any reason until it makes a profit.

they only want to  create hype in project they hold. Truely they got benefit from its review beside adsense. Usually they got money from marketing team. As investors we must focus on our own research or observation, if we find important value from its project we could be proud when it be succesfull project in market.

Those youtubers do not really know anything about the markets and most of the time they are just being paid to promote a coin or they have invested in that coin themselves, and they are promoting it in order to create a pump and dump on their own.

So with this in mind it is a bad idea to listen to them when they do not have our best interests at heart at all, also it would not surprise me if in the future the authorities begin to investigate those youtubers, as what many of them is doing can be considered illegal or at best irresponsible since the majority do not have any credentials which allows them to give such advice.

They are not analysts they are doing for the money, there is no reason for us to listen to their bullshit advice.
We have to do our own research and evaluation of each project we want to invest in, if we do it ourselves we will be more confident and optimistic if there is a bear market because we already know what stage the project is in and the project development goals, if we invest with our ears when the market drops, we will panic and sell at a loss.

You did everything right. The most important thing is to always follow your goal, think with your own head, conduct your own market analysis and not be distracted by unnecessary and distracting noise from the analysis that bloggers and youtubers give out. You have an excellent long-term portfolio.

Since then I have learned to always follow my instincts and not to get carried away by those media scams that can mislead you in the decision-making process.

I have a motto that if I found a relatively new coin and it was good and looked quite promising. But there are many videos on YouTube about that coin already then that coin is in the overhype phase. Meaning it is riskier for me to buy that coin at that time so I should stay out.

Honestly, that is still a good decision. Because if you are going to get out of this mess, then you will need things that are solid and valuable. If we are talking about some small cap weird no name coins then we are not going to make any profit at all.

But, if we are talking about something that is like bitcoin or ETH then we are going to end up making a good profit and that matters. Sure ALL of them are down right now so the result so far seems like the same thing for all, but in a year or so you will see a difference where all those no name ones will not matter while the good ones will go back up to a great price which will make you profit at that time.
