But winnings are not based on mindset just to add an exemption.  I do agree we should condition our minds that any money we put into gambling should be considered losses to prevent us from chasing it.  And also, having confidence doesn't make sense when everything we play is based on luck unless we are playing skill-based games.  Confidence does not add up to a better chance of winning.  Having a positive thought also does not contribute to winnings but it will ease up one's feelings when one suffers a series of losses.  And yes being not emotional greatly help in gambling.  It enables us to think clearer and decide with rationality.

Not in gambling if you are unsure or you are not willing to let the money go, most of the time those who thinks that mantra or lucky charm will let them win are also the same gamblers who are more into greed and not to balance their bankroll, when winning streak come up they tend to think that it's unstoppable while when losing streak start to happen they are more on the side of getting frustrated and keeps trying to double their bets to try recovering it back right away.

But what about the result, does it always win?
Because I personally also sometimes feel about good things before starting to bet, but the results obtained are not always good and do not always match what is expected.
