LOL , did you guys actually win every bet when you cast those spells? Unlike you, I don't believe it, every bet must have a 50:50 percentage for wins and losses.

Things like that actually have no effect on gambling, I used to have sacred items before gambling, I believe that when I carry those items, I will be lucky. But when I gamble, instead of winning, I lose. After I saw several articles related to it, I realized that all these things are suggestions that make our self-confidence increase.

Well, those mantra may don't bring out good effects for most of us, but maybe for some it does. So i guess the effects are different though. But as for me, no mantras happening, i just wish myself good luck and that's all, i'm ready to gamble. Maybe because gambling for me is simply more fun than money. Although i sometimes place a huge amount depending on the match, but in most cases i only bet  a small amount just to entertain myself and have fun.

Gambling should really be for fun and not for making money or something making it as a source of income yet this isn't how things should really be treated with specially we do talk about gambling which is a game of chance.

For some people whom do really believe about mantras and other behavior or beliefs then just let them be yet we do have different perception when it comes to gambling on which some people do really believe that it do really works which we know that this isn't something possible.

Sometimes believing on superstitious beliefs what make other feel relax and concentrated to the games the play this is why we see people believing on such things. Although it sounds pathetic for others who believe but this one exist as many people have different tradition towards things what they do. But if we really look at it scientifically there's no relation to anything and the mood we set will always depend on us.

What most important to all of this is we know our limits because if we already set this for sure we will never experience any huge loss or be happy for the result of our play time at the end of the day.

Actually superstitious belief is only to calm the mind before starting gambling games, they tend to focus more on luck in the game, but the fact will not have any effect, except for real casinos maybe luck from rituals can indirectly work, but if online casinos we know not will be able to affect the programming code.

I and many of my friends have our own mantra before and after we gamble, I just discovered this when we have a drinking session we find out that many of us have our own mantra before, while playing and after or even in the middle of playing.

Mine was "This is my lucky day and I'm claiming it" and when in the middle of the game "I need to play money that I can afford to lose".

Well it is not a mantra but more of a ritual- before I gamble, I used to put a penny inside my shoes and I stepped on it before I gamble my resources away. As for my brother, he always say the phrase "win or lose, at least I had fun."

Though these mantras or rituals may have no effect on the gambling odds/chances, it somehow gives the players this comfort and motivation that everything will be alright. This kind of effect is similar when you give yourself a pep-talk where it somehow boosts your confidence before you do something.

We have our own takes when it comes to gambling.
As long as you are not harming anyone with your beliefs, that's more than fine.
From my end, I really don't have the mantra, but before spending with my games, I know how much I can spend or lose.
So when I reached that amount, it means, I need to stop no matter what. Though sometimes I go below that amount, but not much.

I don't have exactly a mantra, instead I just keep mentalizing the result I'm expecting from the game. I intensively imagine the result I would like to see and try to transfer it to the reality. Some time ago, I had the habit of crossing my fingers as well, because that is a symbol of luck and that things are going to work as the person wishes, but there is a long time already since I don't do this anymore.

Well, I think when the spell is unplanned and only comes at a certain time, then it seems like a spell like that is formed from the mood and also about how high we believe it was a good day or a bad day. Because I'm sure, even though you have a spell but try the spell every time you bet, the results will not always match. So, gambling may not require a spell but self-awareness to feel the mood and belief in yourself.

Interesting topic, to be honest I haven't really thought about that before. Sure there are some subjective things that I try to follow and things I like to avoid. For example, if I had a hard day at work that I will usually not gamble in the evening. Before a gambling session I try to be calm and relaxed, especially when playing poker I make sure that my mind is clear and I am not focusing on other problems. Also when I have a good day and feel lucky I try to buy scratch tickets, but that's seems to be a very bad indicator. For years now I haven't made any money with scratch tickets, since they are so cheap I also can't stop with them. A positive mindset is important in life, and will help in gambling too. But I don't think that just because we feel lucky, we will have more luck in our games. It could also be that due a bad fews rounds we ruin our mood completely. It's better not to make a connection in our head between winning and having a good mood. That's why professional keep recommending to take emotions out of gambling and investing. My mantra would probably be to look after our own health, and don't let winning or losing change our health.

I don't really have belief in the superstitious will have any effects on our betting but in general when I am on the long streak of losing I just try to minimize the risk by betting small amount which eventually increase the chances of number of betting also the winning chance so atleast I can break the losing streak and dont go to sleep broken.

You have nothing to lose if you have some Mantra before or after you gamble, if this is the thing that can make you more comfortable them why not?
I just don't like that some gamblers fully rely on this belief and when the result is not on their favor, most probably they will act like a total broke gambler for the whole day or even for the whole week. I just have a simple routine, just set aside my money have some coins on my wallet just in case I lose everything, at least I still have that coins to bring me home.

I do this as well and it's not really just in gambling bet. I think it became my habit to claim for positive things whenever I want to achieve something. I have this little phrases I utter like "I'm claiming it" or "This is for me" just to get my hopes and faith up. This way, I feel more courageous to do the thing I want to accomplish.

In the same way, I believe this parallels with the law of attraction. There's really no guarantee that if you have these mantras you will really win or get what you are hoping for. After all, there's no harm in doing this so might as well continue it as long as I want. It's not as if you are violating anyone's right. Like what they say, to each his own.

For sure. There are many different practices. For example, I have noticed that I've felt much better while gambling when I have been in a more positive state, and where I really have a good energy. I don't have a problem if there are people who always have a negative mindset and they think it's always the right to be thinking about the bad stuff. But, as I said before, I've learned that it's difficult to get a good result when I'm not in a positive state of mind.

We all have our own unique and different mantras, ritual or sometimes it may be also called as a superstitious beliefs because these things are not tested and proven after all. We just believe on it because it helps us to be more calm, confident and more relaxed while playing/gambling.

Yes, some people may see it ridiculous as there are also gamblers that doesn't have any kind of beliefs at all. Just let them be because these beliefs helps us not be so serious and illogical.

A Mantra is exceptionally powerful when the result depends on yourself on your effort of that desire to succeed to win, but in betting variance rules, odds, banking, etc...no.

You have a point with what you said because false hope can lead to stress which could cause some serious illness or bankruptcy for gamblers but the OP claim she only plays with the fund she can afford to lose which is still good.

Indirectly they practice a tradition that actually has nothing to do with gambling but because at that time they are lucky, then repeat it again before gambling, that is what they call a mantra. So I agree with you, that such activities often happen in countries rich in many traditions but in the end the spell doesn't work anymore, so they won't practice the spell anymore and play gambling normally without expecting luck from the spell.

I don't have a special spell when gambling but I have a habit when I run out of capital (when playing slots and dice) I will play with my eyes closed and luckily when I do that most of my capital returns

If I’m already losing, I always go to the restroom so I can wash my hands to clean away bad lucks, I don’t know but since then I do this, though I didn’t see any big result its just that, when you are losing you are already thinking for a way to lose that bad luck.
