Well,

i found that mining at your pool didn't work.
1. A raspberry Pi (while having low power I know) didn't even apear as worker
2. My workers appeared but i never got a single amigacoin....

So somehow it didn't work.

heh, a pi isnt good for scrypt Wink

However the pool made about 750k aga... so people actually mined at it Smiley

We've about 200k aga that are totally unclaimed (accounts got deleted due to inactivity) that we're going to donate to the aga-dev to support the coin a little.

If we get people mining it again, we would keep it.

Well.. i don't get it... My core2duo isn't realized either...
I had let run it quite often and got not a single coin. While at http://poolamigacoin.org:22113/static/ it is raining coins..

; ) Why is that?

EDIT:
I like your website and features but for me it didn't work.

EDIT2:
Ok.. now I see my worker. But strange that i never got a single coin : p

Hi,

Sorry for the troubles, we can't really see any errors to be honest.

The pool's closed now.

I've sent 246605.19769004 AGA (all remaining funds) to the developer.

Hello at all,
If someone had Amigacoins on Obfuscode and couldn't get them back, just send me a PM.

Thanks.

Hi,

cpuminer may be underway to AmigaOS 4.x ... at least it will be checked if it compiles and AmigaOS should theoretically handle it while AROS can't yet (pthreads problem).

On AEROS I will just use the Linux version.

Hello at all,
I made a new cryptocoin a couple of months ago, called Amigacoin, to support Amiga platform (do you remember old Commodore computers?).
It's already used by many Amiga users and soon a PowerPC version of wallet will be available, at the moment there are only executables for Linux and Windows.
Anyway, it's another Litecoin clone and has follow specifications:
_ 2 minute block targets
_ 2 billion total coins
_ 100 to 1000 random coins per block
_ 1440 blocks to retarget difficulty
... and also it's pre-mined (but its difficulty is very very low) and distribuited among Amiga fans.
For more info, look here:
http://www.amigacoin.org

Thanks!

PS. Any help is welcomed (for example, it needs a more professional site and a build for Mac OS).  Smiley

So it's scrypt right ?
Why did you not go for x11 or x13 ?
or created some new Ami Algo ?

About AROS I already fixed the problem between threads and bsdsocket library (I forgot to read this http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Developer/Docs/Libraries/BSDsocket )
but curl library seems that doesn't work on AROS and now I'm trying to throw it out.

If you need tips you could contact Bszilli at www.aros-exec.org. I asked him in exchange for a donation to port cpuminer to AmigaOS.

Is there a simple way to establish a online wallet? I can provide a client for AROS/MOS/AOS (even classic) which speaks to the server in a own encrypted way but I have no clue about altcoin server wallets.

Yep, I have a couple of Amigacoin nodes and they can be used to implement the server side, just using these api and some PHP code.
If he agrees I can send him all source code.

Finally I fixed the problems with connection! It seems that BSD socket tutorial in AROS wiki site is wrong, I got some code from MarranoFTP and here. Now I have some comunication with amigacoin pool and going forward with this porting. I'm thinking to put an UI, maybe using the original Amiga API for a possible version for Amiga 68K.

Great! Keep it going. As soon the "infrastructure" is there(for Amigans) it has potential.

So why nobody is putting their old machines to support this network.  Actually it is not the coin that sucks, it is the community that does not support it.    There are no asics on the AGA network, still the coin looks pretty much as dead as the Amiga itself.
