It's fantastic to have a mentor you can rely on and form into who you are today. Mentors are meant to guide you but not walk you through it entirely because it will always be YOU who will carry you towards the goal you have, which will be the challenge everyone will face.

Many people are known to be good at trading and can make themselves appear suitable, but some scammers make it seem that they are making themselves credible first and then scam later. Picking the right mentor should be a big deal, and you should know who you are choosing. Like with a background that's going to reflect who they are, and they will be the one shedding light on what they are planning for the future and how you are going to be helped.

I'm not sure how Satoshi became a mentor because did he teach students about it?

Hi guys,I have learnt a lot from my mentor in crypto trading that made me to became who I am today in the society. Do you have a mentor in crypto trading? I never know how important a mentor is to investors when I nearly lost my $300,000 few years ago, until I found a potential mentor who thought me when to sell my coins to make a good income and when not to sell not to experience losses in the market.

I was glad to hear about your success mate...But I say this was not because you have a mentor who guides and teaches you, it was also because you accept to change and you are willing to do so. Because in many cases, mentorship doesn't work, and of course, it really doesn't work if both parties won't work together as it was supposed to be.

We'd learn in different ways...I do just online and YouTube tutorials but because I am willing to take risks and not afraid to learn, I got what I want to happen. It is just a matter of time.
Basically, everyone has their own way of dealing with their trading journey,
either with a mentor or self-taught it all depends on each person,
Currently, there are indeed many platforms that we can use, one of which is YouTube

No, and never have been. Only you do not link mentoring and your past losses, these are things that do not depend on each other. The fact that you once lost money means that you had little experience and too much risk, which is typical for newcomers to the crypto industry. Personally, I am against any mentors who will tell you something or somehow help in making decisions. The crypto world is a harsh place, it is important here to learn to think with your own head. If you need someone who will look after you, then you should delve into the crypto industry more. Although I do not know how many years you have been in the crypto game. If more than 2-3 years, and you need a mentor for investing, then I have bad news for you. To sell and buy coins on the market, you need to think only with your own head, otherwise you are not an investor, you are a puppet.
If you do have mentor and on the time you would have much losses then you would really be thinking off again to go other path or ways which is totally opposite on what your mentor do talks or teach.

Its not really worth since from the start because teaching someone for some penny subscription is no sense as someone who do have proper knowledge about trading or other aspects then i wont
bother myself on  teaching someone since i could earn more than with those amounts if i would put up all of my time on my own trades.

Same goes for those who are tending to seek for someone for them to follow but i would say that it isnt really worth.

It depends on the quality of the mentor, after all there are many people that pay a lot of money for courses that are not really worth that much, in that case a mentor is not going to help you, however if the mentor you find is someone that is close to you and he has reasonable success this can greatly boost the rate at which you learn and how much money you can earn in the markets, as they do not care about making money out of you and they actually want you to become successful.

If talking about mentors for me in some ways we need but on the other hand we can learn on our own,
mentor does have influence but it also depends on us and the mentor,
and if you don't get a mentor who is close to us like you said maybe it's better that the money can be allocated to other things

Learning from a mentor is quite different results in learning on your own.
I simply just notice that many tutorials that we found online are just shortcuts, it was too easy to gain ideas if someone like a mentor could teach you in actual trading and do the corrections (is possible).

However, as mentioned above replies, not all of it works effectively and that was because it depends on how they interact with each other and the strategies of teaching used. A good mentor or even an expert trader can be ineffective if he/she can't teach it clearly or his/her student isn't a good listener and follower.

Basically, everyone has their own way of dealing with their trading journey,
either with a mentor or self-taught it all depends on each person,
Currently, there are indeed many platforms that we can use, one of which is YouTube
In speculative trading, there is no such thing as mentor unless it is a family member who has good interests in your own profits. Anybody else giving you financial advise, is very likely trying to shill their own coins and have their own narrative to push in.

Youtube is good only if you are resistant to shills and their manipulation. Because the information on internet is unregulated, there is a massive surge of shill-based content on such social media and therefore should be used with caution.

The basis trading is only buy low and sell high, what mentoring is needed for that? This is no rocket science. Roll Eyes

Never had one as per your definition. If reading the forum fellow members and their threads regarding trading is mentorship then yup I get it on daily basis. But part from that I never had in person mentor. May be few tips from friends but not on regular basis. This always had been the case with me. I always pulled trading tips on the forums, books, and may be some YouTube channels which explains how to do technical analysis and work with the day trade. That I am doing on the regular basis. With that said I have also not been mentor for someone. Trading is really something personal these days. Everyone wants to be perfect in it and apply their own strategies for the same.

Who is a mentor?

A mentor is a someone who help people to achieve their common goals. Mentor never give up on helping people until they began to see a good results coming out from them. Mentor don't scam people who are trying to rise like them than to help them to stand well.

Do we still have potential mentor in crypto community today?

I love Satoshi because he was a great mentor i have never see in the whole world, for building a great family like this, that will produce future president's of different countries and senators that will make this decentralized currency fully legalized in the whole world.
He gave various suggestions and experiences about Satoshi Bitcoin. He did not lie about trading. He gave a lot of information about Bitcoin. However, many people will give a lot of advice about trading. Those who trade with shitcoin coins will give you experience about seat coins. The shit coin you are told to buy is probably a shit projector CO.

I totally agree with what you are doing, trading becomes something that is personal, because when applying the method in trading it only feels right for us, and not necessarily suitable for other people's trading. The reason is, the portion of trading and our needs when doing analysis is something that is driven on the basis of need. Always looking for information, self-taught learning is more memorable, even though sometimes make a lot of mistakes.

In fact, it can help the one who will be learning. But you shouldn't have high hopes, you need to be confident in yourself.
It's best to learn from your mentor instead of trying to hope they will make you earn. Mentor to me is only useful if you are learning something from them. It's similar to how you have teachers who can give you the world of knowledge but you cannot expect them to write your answer sheet for you. Similarly, you should learn as much as you can from your mentor but remember you have to execute the strategies and plans yourself, no one can do it for you. Maybe a mentor can make a few trades for you but not going to last forever.

I always feel it's better to trade yourself and learn gradually rather than having a mentor and trading like a king. The reason I am saying this is because you will at point have to do it alone and when you have no one to consult with, you will struggle to trade independently since you always traded like a king who had people around to suggest and him.

Getting ideas or learning from others isnt something bad but relying on it fully is actually not really that good or beneficial at all because you would really be ending up on being dependent
which we know that it isnt really that right for you to done this for long term. Mentor is good if you do find yourself having a hard time on learning everything but just like on what others
been saying that making yourself learn without the need of these things is indeed possible and it do matters on the effort and time that you would gonna spend into it.
So its up to someones personal choice when it comes to this one.

Yes, mentors are important, but to see a situation where finding a mentor isn't as easy as going to university just sits and listens. The mentors we often find are influencers looking for the stage, while traders with good mentality and qualities are clearly hiding behind their prowess. They are relatively secretive, so finding them is a stroke of luck.

Plus crypto trading is difficult in the region we live in, forcing us to be completely independent and not dependent on any of it.

Satoshi wasn't a mentor at all, that is a wrong idea, he was an inventor and that’s it, he just talked about what bitcoin is, and never really how to trade. However, I agree with you that trying to find a mentor is a tough challenge, you could end up with a good profit, or you could end up with nothing at all and a scammer will take all of your money.

When you are in a situation like that, investing becomes a big problem. I personally believe that the best thing to do would be to find other people who have mentors and if you see that they are making profit thanks to teachings of that mentor, you could follow them up and make that kind of profit along with them.

It is true that just because someone could be a master at something this does not necessarily mean this person will be a good teacher, and even if they were each person learns on their own way so the student and the teacher may have different communication styles which do not match.

But even with all of those considerations I still think it is a great advantage to have a mentor over not having one, as one of the main problems many experiment when trying to learn more about the markets is the huge amount of information available about the topic, so they do not know where to begin or what to believe, as they do not know much about the subject at such point in their development.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the market is always changing and the trend is changing every few months and it's more evident in crypto. This shows that no matter how good your mentor is and how vast their knowledge is, you and the mentor will always have to adapt based on how the market is changing and make sure you are up to date with the latest indicators, tools and marketing strategies.

The best way to learn to trade is by following this chain: Trade --> Lose --> Rectify mistakes --> Repeat

The quicker you eliminate the mistakes and rectify them, the better trade you will turn into. Also important to make sure you are not making the same mistake by different means otherwise it will take years to rectify a single mistake.

Adaptation and being versatile would really be the key and its true that even mentors or lets called those pros would definitely or should make out some adjustments depending on market condition.

Just like on what people been saying above that its not really that needed on having a mentor because you could eventually learn up for yourself on how you would able to handle yourself in to the market.

It is really just needing up some experience and some effort on doing so but of course you do need to set proper plans or goals.

For me, a good option was the experience of working on a demo account. At least when I started working with a broker from Amarkets, I did just that.
This is a good thing if you are just trying the site and already know how tradings works but if you still have zero knowledge about trading, its either you learn on your own or you look for a mentor. Looking for a mentor is not bad at all but if you really want to see a good one, you must be willing to pay for their fees and in my country there’s a lot of professional traders who offers this with a reasonable price. You can start looking for them and learn in just a short period of time, after that you can continue learning on your own.

If we could find a good mentor that will help us understand how to trade, instead of a mentor who try to tell us what to trade, then we are going to make a good profit. I had one that helped me understand what to trade and when to trade and how to trade, and that person was the reason why I managed to become a good trader to begin with.

I have spent years trying to learn, but since it was always courses that talked about it but couldn't respond to my questions, all those youtube videos and all meant nothing to me, I needed to learn but also ask questions in my mind and get a response, that mentor was available at all times and allowed me to do that.
