Most the favourite projects I have in mind to buy have already lose 80% to 90% of their value, if you are in my shoe would you start buying? I did try to buy piece by piece like 20$ to 30$ range but I still don't know if I am doing the right thing... I have these projects in mind

Understand this OP, we are in the season where every crypto in the market is not saved from a downtrend and that includes the stablecoins either. However, the 80-90% downtrend of the altcoin you want to invest in shouldn't draw you back from your plan because this season is the perfect entry time but you just need to do adequate research about the altcoin you wanted to invest in because some altcoin will never survive this correction market.

If the altcoin introduces some new concept that somehow solves the crypto-related issue, has good historical data, Marketcap, and is well supported by the crypto community it is good to invest in it.

Risk investing on altcoin have 80-90% downtrend because not all altcoin when drop drastically can reach higher price again, maybe you got experience with Luna coin after 80-90% downtrend have delist on end journey before moving to new version. How ever top coinmarketcap position standing I don't believe with 80-90% downtrend will have new moment can back to higher price again, I afraid when investing with 80-90% downtrend coin because I think wait several days later before become scam coin.

Everything in life has its own risk involved and that includes just drinking ordinary because if you're not careful with it may lead to the couch but the carefulness i mentioned is what most crypto investors don't have.
Trust me, Luna's downtrend is something people ought to have foreseen, and thats those that carefully go through the project concept, not the hype and the amount of Bitcoin accumulated by them to back the shitcoin.
If you're afraid to accumulate coins because it 80-90% dump in the price you'll miss the right opportunity you have and what you need to do is to grow your knowledge in selecting the right investment.

It can go more than %95 in a few days, the total value of the specific coin depends on trading volume aka demand. Btw, it is not fully confirmed bear market cycle, wait for further drop and invest later. There are potentially better altcoins compared your investment choice coins,IMHO. Check top 100 CMC coins and invest at least half of overall capital.

This is something that can happen and without a doubt you need to be careful, however what percentage of your capital do you want to invest in those coins? Because if it is a small percentage, like 5% or less then maybe it is worth it to roll the dice and hope for a few of those coins to go up in value, however if you are thinking on investing the majority or all your capital then this is a move I would never recommend, due to the high risk that you will be taking.

We have to allocate max 10% for the altcoin list above because most of the altcoin list above I don't know, but if the list above is only ETH and BNB then I will allocate 70% for investment in both because there is no doubt for me to invest higher on both coins.

I honestly cannot understand all of this reference to 'too much money' or 'taking greater risks'.

I know this is a contentious idea but this kind of crypto ínvestment is not really investment but gambling,,, Bitcoin and ETH yes are investments, but anything else that is so unsure has to be treated like a pure gamble.

So what do we do when we gamble? First, assume that all the money we put in is gone. Second, only put in what you can afford to lose.

I'm not going to stop people from planning the investments they hope for, it's just that we're just making comparisons and that can be a plan choice to correct again. many people correct about coins that they can make sure they are because there may be an impact of hype season or whatever and are ready to take risks. Of course, I'm sure they will buy top rank coins BTC, ETH, BNB because it's clear in the future, and just have to be patient waiting for the bull season to come.

Everything is possible in crypto, sometimes i think that crypto also depend on our luck and sometimes i feel like we need more knowledge to determine the right project to invest. Ive been in crypto since 2016 and i am ingage with a different situation like investing a project that i think will pump in the next 3 years from the day that i purchase but it end up lossing because most of the project on year 2017-2017 (bull season) fall on year 2019 to 2020 (bear season)because it is abandoned by the developer so i am unlucky with my holdings all i can say now is keep going i know there are a lot of new projects that will soon pump we only loss if we surrendered and leave crypto but if we keep trying soon we will recieved profit.

Basically, everyone cannot be generalized and has their own emotions when looking at current market conditions,
indeed when compared to current conditions with conditions in 2018 it is clear that 2018 conditions are more severe,
apart from that it's better not to be sad and use this opportunity to buy some potential coins

All this coins for me are really a big risk and if you invest in them it should be an amount that you can honestly afford to lose.
The only good coins in this bad run is bitcoin and eth but mostly bitcoin survived this huge loss on the market. Hopefully we start seeing it go up soon

I am glad I just went ahead and follow my mind, today all these coins and tokens are doing so well, few have doubled my investment already, lukso and mina protocol for example, they are not nonsense projects I suggest you look into them.

Bro no one can predict the exact bottom and top of any coin. A good trader always trade level to level.
For this you must have a strong grip on technical analysis to find out the support and resistance points of the coin with the help of indicators and by manually study the chart of candle stick pattern.

Even some have been fallen to the -99% or even -100%. Altcoins can also be a scam anytime and people can't sell their token and exchange it with the stable token. The bear market was a must to ensure if market is healthy rather than always going up but it can go down in a few days like luna. I think you can see luna as a good example for you to know that if sometime crypto can down from the top to the bottom anytime. It doesn't matter how good market but any surprise can happen in the crypto.
People must also think about this as well.

Many projects in the crypto market went to zero and among them there were top coins before. But coins with such a huge market cap like luna have not gone to zero. The Luna incident is a great example for crypto investors to deal with any situation. If you keep an eye on social media you can see how crypto investors are promoting every crypto project they see as huge and influencing small crypto investors. So every investor must be careful not to get influenced by anyone's hype.
