Its right that bearish is the right moment for laying foundation in the upcoming bullish run but I very much doubt the bearish gonna lasts that long, at best maybe we could see bearish fading in mid 2023 that is next year although at the end of the day it's all just a speculation.

In your bag for the incoming future, only BTC looks strong. ETH, I don't know, the rally around ETH 2.0, moving from PoW to PoS maybe help to push the price but the history of its kinda have a lot of delays which might dip your ETH further. BNB isn't looking at the ongoing SEC's investigation on Binance and BNB. Sol's outage really hit the tipping point if Sol can't address it properly. No, turn off your chain or feature around it doesn't work in the long term for Sol network.
Based on those above, I think alts nowadays kinda suck, aint worth holding in the bear market and we should hold more BTC or reduce the amount of alts on our bag.

As for me, the best time to buy altcoins is in the bear market which means now is for me the best time to buy altcoins and Bitcoin as well. 1-2 years seems too long to wait because at that time, there might be a chance that altcoins are starting to recover already.

One thing more is that, if you will buy some altcoins then maybe just buy those top market cap coins because for sure they will recover. Coins like Ethereum and BNB might be a good picks. Lower risk but higher reward especially when the bull market comes.

That is true, waiting 1-2 years means that it could literally go up in a huge bull run and crash down in a bear move all over again by that period. It would be smarter to purchase alts right now when they are low, and making a big profit when the bull run happens.
