I still dont understand what gap has been widened. Both rich and poor have suffered from covid. I might even say, that rich people have lost more, if we think that their "rich" is evaluated by the amount of profit they get from trading and offering services. And poor are always poor. They cant lose much, because they dont have much. Rich people can afford to live in a sterile houses, get best medicine, build best immune system. But that still does not make them 100% safe from being infected. Being rich does not make person invulnerable.
