I do not need to think about it too long if the money is to pay for my father's surgery, and I am willing to use it for him. I think we can make money some other time, and we have that opportunity. Instead of investing $50k in bitcoin, which we don't know when the price will increase, I will give that money to my father for his surgery. I was once in a situation that I've got money ready to pay for buying a property and suddenly my kid was hospitalized and no double thinking I've made, I've spent the money for hospitalization despite it's for another property which will be an investment and this is no different of using it for buying crypto.

Let me give you more extreme tips. Since the next bull market phase is unpredictable and neither is your father's age, what if you bet 50k on casino games or sports betting. It will give faster results even on the same day. That’s completely insane. You should not be putting those 50k in danger with any of the investment. There is no thing that can get your money tripled overnight. In this you will risk your money and could get into trouble with the whole medical services. You better visit nearest bank or relatives who can help you with the insurance or emergency medical services. 50k is a big amount there are many possible ways to triple it either in gambling, trading and investing but the risk were high. I get what you are saying, if you don't risk it you won't save your father's life. I honestly don't know what you can actually do and neither of us here are sure where's the market is going as of now so it would be very risk if you trade, in investment there's a lot of scam projects lately and there is no assurance that you would have a profit after you invest to ICO or IEO.

Do you know when the bull run came? while this is about the life of a human being who must be saved. Then you convince yourself to invest where no one really knows when a bull run will happen. What if you have lost money and the market is still bearish while your dad needs treatment?

Need more details. What country do you live in, what procedure, and what insurance options are available? In the USA health care insurance is guaranteed issue during enrollment periods regardless of how sick you are. If he is 65+ in the USA, should be able to apply for Medicare immediately. If he is destitute, with minimal income, he should be able to apply for Medicaid. In life or death situations in the USA, too, the hospital cannot deny you the care for financial reasons. They are required to stabilized the patient and bill them later.

I also can't imagine any provider in the USA who wouldn't take $50k as a cash down payment and do the rest on a payment plan. Outside of the USA, I can't imagine a procedure costing more than $50k.

Hello OP. First off all i am sorry to hear that your father is in such a situation and i hope he is ok given the circumstances. To your question about tripling your money fast in order to pay for your fathers needed surgery think that you should not risk a crypto investment here. The risk of losing all those 50k usd is just way too high in my opinion. Also i think that you need to be really lucky at the moment to make a x3 of your investment because the whole crypto market is in bear mode.

I wouldn't risk the funds allocated for my father's surgery if I were in your situation. There are other ways for you to earn or save for crypto investment. It's between life and death and no profit could replace your father's life. They say that you must only invest what you could afford to lose so you better think of the possible consequence if you'll invest that fund. There's no assurance that the bull run will approach soon.

Dont gamble out because basing on what you had said which you do only need $150k and currently having  50k then it would be smart if you dont risk up that amount on hoping that crypto market investment will save up the situation considering on how risky it is then it wont really guarantee out on making that kind of target because instead of earning then you can potentially lost up that 50k
or make yourself been holding in the market just because the price had plummet on the time you had bought some coins so its a tough decision if you do tend to proceed on.

In the first place, this is risky, are you willing to take the risk of $50k or used it to pay for your father's surgery right away?

If I'm in your shoes, I will pick the latter, as I will not gamble that money. You don't know what the future holds, it might be bitcoin that can give you x3 in the future, or altcoins such as BNB and ETH. But as I have said, this is crypto, yes we expect a bull run in the next couple of years but in a emergency situation like what you have laid down, the choice is easy, I will not invest that money in crypto.
