The sad reality of airdrop mate , even You in which long time skilled and knowledgeable member of the community become a Victim of those scam and this ends our happiness joining airdrop.
I remember when i still new here? i joined some airdrop and earn small amount but after several and when 2018 comes? then almost every airdrop that shared by friends turns scam .

Joining airdrops is waste of time. In my opinion, you should focus on learning skills. Then start offering your services and get paid in crypto. BTC

The only airdrops that make sense are new DEX platforms that haven't release tokens yet, just make some swap on them from time to time and hopefully wait for a new token release, ~

For such airdrops, you must have investment to pay high gas fee(s), and at the end of which you don't know whether they will launch the token or not. Or they'll (the team of that project) come up with a different criteria. And you will end up losing your money paid in gas fee. It is a gamble

we also need to do research first before joining and that takes a lot of time for sure,

I can see that 90% here can agree airdrop is worthless now, unless its from big names/exchange.

It might also be better if we invest some on blue chip coin rather than getting some meme coins in return for the effort.

in essence: we can join some airdrops but don't focus on looking for them, maybe take advantage of free time when we are bored with activities and playing games....
and investment is the best choice and for meme coins you can buy it if you can take a chance on the fomo that happens and quickly leave it if not then don't try

CNDLChain dot org has a bounty program right now. All you have to do are some simple tasks like follow on social media and if you want more coins, then you can test their new AMM DEX. I already made 25k CNDL doing it. That's the only airdrop/bounty that I am aware of at the moment.

Don't spend your time with these. Airdrops are almost always things that will worth nothing, or worth very little. If you have so much free time, I guarantee you that finding or trying to find online work and being an employee would be a lot better. I know that people think they can't find a job, but if you grind and apply to anything and build a great resume (cv) then you will be able to find a job eventually.

This will result with you getting hired eventually, and even if you get fired one day, you will have a great resume entry again and reapply to everywhere again. Look for jobs, even signature campaign is a great way to make money for many poor nations.

for now the #web3 project is starting to appear and I see it promising than joining an airdrop which doesn't necessarily earn you better income joining the bounty program which of course a lot of managers already use escrow

ENS was the one but have you missed the latest airdrop like optimism and some airdrops that following it? There are bunch of people were getting very huge amounts of optimism and this worth bunch of money. That's quite a lot just to use its blockchain.
