NFT projects are only very parts of Ethereum ecosystem and of crypto ecosystem. They are not only part to contribute to success of Ethereum ecosystem. I don't think it is fair to say ERC20 is a chain for scam projects. You can find scam projects, scammers anywhere, from real estate, stock to crypto markets. Scammers often find where they can deploy their scam projects and steal money from naive victims.

Ethereum can not protect all investors in crypto market from scammers. Investors are responsible for their money and what projects they invest in. Even in scam projects, you can be a winner if you have good entry and exit price. Even in good projects, you can be a loser if you have bad entry and exit price.

IMHO, there will be a big purge for the altcoins market. You see that ICOs have failed because of the scammers that it had made it as their den and the same goes for metaverse and NFTs.

It had became the place of scammers although there really are those legitimate projects that have been serious with their development. And once that purge happens, it will be the top altcoins shall remain but bitcoin will still be the king at the top of this entirety.

I do not really believe that pump and dump is that much of a big deal in the short term. Sure we have crashes and increases all the time and that makes it a bit harder to focus on the task at hand, but that is still doable thing for all of us.

I personally would love to see the current situation a bit better, and that means we are going to end up with a situation where it is not going to be pump and dump, but more like bear and bull in cycles and those are different things. When it's pump and dump, that is like daily thing, but when it is bear and bull it is like months in between those things before it happens, so that is why I see it as bear and bull and not pump and dump.

Yes off course Bitcoin control the entire market cryptocurrency market is a chain and most times Bitcoin market control the altcoin market but not in all cases, some coins perform independently from Bitcoin, and most time the coin dictates the direction of the price goes not Bitcoin.

You mean some shitty altcoins/project that ends up scamming people who invest in those project to get rich real quick despite other people warning them that it is a scam project? Most of the projects where the developers walk away with investors fund has a lot of red flags which some people points it out, but yet others keep on investing in those project with the hope of getting rich overnight. All they do is gamble and encourage more such scam projects.

All coins other than bitcoin are considered altcoins. Altcoins are here to stay. There are some good altcoins/projects that actually has some good potential to offer something new. As long as they keep on trying, it's all good as they will eventually succeed. But yes, there are also lots of projects that eventually fail. As long as they had good intention, I wouldn't call them scammers.

Theres a lot of potential actually, its just that some investors find it shady when a certain project suddenly appear out of from airdrops and some hype theme. Most projects now wanted to inline with such nft thing but that isnt the only power of altcoins cause they can be a really good altetnative to handling finances and some of the traditonal industry out there like banks. The rates on crypto tend to be higher compared to them making other investors shift from traditional to defi products.

Top Altcoins serve its purpose but with NFTs, I can’t see their purpose here aside from bringing the hype. Though some are still able to rise in value but as we can see, many NFTs are already dying. If you want your expectation to be meet, always go for the best choice and top coins, they can still offer good services and later on will rise again for sure.

Crypto industry is now widely developing, but it doesn't mean fully changing. the concept is still related to crypto world, the blockchain technology, but combined with something more interesting, real, and also utility.

I quite understand your position in the network, it is one of an altcoin enthusiast, and to be very fair to you it is the correct one, i for one do not believe that altcoins are long term projects, they are to be held for the short term and sold for quick profits, cause they have no utility and are only backed by fake promises. But Bitcoin is unlike them, Bitcoin has an actual utility and it is nothing like altcoins, thus if you ever should trust any coin for the long term/future, then it should be Bitcoin, cause your money is safe there.

I thought you are only talking about eth as an alternative currency? Eth never scammed anyone but it was the crappy altcoins are the ones that can steal the peoples' money. Nft's arent totally an altcoin but in metaverse, there might be some projects that can still be called an altcoin.

If the issue is about scalability then I think that eth as an alternative coin didn't fixed that totally since its also experiencing some problems related to it and that might be the reason why many more altcoins are being created next to eth to solve the known issues of eth and as well as on btc. People's expectations are somehow met up on some altcoin, fortunately.

Truely they are intended to make a fool of every newbie coming in the market. While people attempt to go for them for their lower than bitcoin price, they end up paying the most and ending up in the bigger loss.

After watching the altcoin markets for a close to 6years, I can say for certain that all altcoins are going to end up as shitcoin except the centralized ones and the stablecoins. It does not make the latter two legit or profitable though. The newly launched ones based on hype marketing are defenitely counting on the hype to run them and they are risky to get into.

If you are looking for an altcoin that turned out as intended, go for the older well known ones like LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR. Going beyond them you are more and more likely to encounter coins that have no future in real.
