How hard it is to create a VISA to America? I've been there once, but passes procedure half year before, when I was booking vacation, hotels and etc. For a more famous person, maybe with some connections, is it possible to create a VISA in one month? From UFC experience, fighters come to the US one or two weeks before the fight to pass acclimatization process and jet lag.
It's relatively easy. If you're from one of the countries that has a visa waiver program which the UK does you just have to fill out a form a month or so before you go and it's valid for about six months or something. However, working visas I think require an embassy visit.
I can't help, but think this is to build the fight a little more? I wouldn't have thought a professional boxer, and especially on this sort of stage wouldn't be able to get a visa. I know there's been speculation with the Fury family, and who they associate effecting their entry status, but I wasn't aware that extended to Tommy.
I'm not so sure about that. Tommy had a visa and was in the states only a month or so ago. The US just revoked it for reasons that haven't been made public but people are assuming it's because of Tyson connections to Kinehan. Tyson was also denied entry and has had his visa revoked in June.
He should be able to get it sorted out at the embassy according to Jake, though maybe the US are playing hard ball and want cooperation on info on Kinehan from the Furys. Would they have banned Tyson if he had a fight on? I'm not so sure. Hopefully Tommy can get it sorted. Maybe the fight will have to take place in the UK if not but Jake will almost certainly just fight someone else in August instead. I wonder if he has a backup in place?
At first I was hearing that Tommy didn't want to fight, because his dad couldn't enter the US. However, we all knew that. He hasn't been able to enter the US for as long as I can remember. I believe it was related to a eye gouging incident, and therefore a criminal conviction. Now, we're hearing that Tommy is struggling to get one.
It looks like his whole team isn't allowed, including Tyson, so he'd basically be alone over there according to his dad:

It would be a huge disadvantage to not have any family members or his regular coaches there. I think Tommy really wants this fight so I doubt he's going to turn it down unless there's something literally stopping him from doing it. And yeah, his dad is banned due to serving serious jail time for blinding someone in a fight. Anyone who's done prison time can't get in. If you have a criminal record you need to get special permission from the US embassy but they deal with them on a case by case basis.
It is somewhat being billed as the first real fight between Jake Paul and an actual boxer. Being honest, I have no idea what to expect. Jake has surprised everyone with every fight, so maybe he'll keep that momentum going.
To me, I actually think this is the only fight, and perhaps the Youtube boxing events before it, where Jake probably wouldn't surprise all that many people by winning. Tommy certainly isn't anything special when it comes to boxing, obviously a professional, and therefore somewhat decent, but his career hasn't exactly taken anyone off guard. Especially, considering the calibre of his opponents, and the performances he has put in against them.
That's what makes this fight to appealing to me. It's probably the first big challenge for both of them. Jake can win it for sure and to me both fighters are quite evenly matched, though Tommy has been fighting practically his own life whereas Jake is a relative newcomer. Tommy has only really fought bums and journeymen though and Jake has only fought youtubers and ex-MMA fighters who were on their way out and people have been clamouring for him to prove himself and fight a 'proper' boxer so here it is. Tommy is the perfect step up. He might not be the best boxer but he's still unbeaten and the biggest draw is that Fury name. Anything other than a KO by Fury is going to be an embarrassment for him. If Tommy losses it could even end his career. Nobody is going to take him seriously if he can't even beat a 'youtuber'. His family have practically said they'd disown him if he lost and that's a huge weight to bare. They've both said he should quit if he can't beat Jake and he might have to as that will follow him around his whole life.
