I think it will soon make an announcement regarding this program, as the popularity of Metamask in this space is so great. According to this article, we can considering the metamask user base (over 1 million) .
I think that a market cap of such a project, it is not out of place to assume even 1 billion $ as a distribution of value.

But how will these funds be distributed? will surely favor the accounts that have carried out more transactions ... will only the transactions in eth-erc20 be considered or also those of other networks? it's a nice dilemma

This will likely gonna happened because  it will be swarmed by airdrop abusers using multiple wallet. All previous airdrop that you mention didn’t announce as well there requirements for receiving the rewards since they want to reward users that's genuinely use there product and not those airdrop hunters that typically will just only dump there tokens once they received it.

Just use the metamask regularly with all it's feature. I think using it will be top contender for there requirements.

There is no official announcement yet at this time but there have been some hints about the $Mask airdrop. It's going to be a huge one especially if they launch in a good market condition and everyone who qualifies must be a lucky individual as they will try as much to weed out people that want to game the airdrop with many different criteria.

I think metamask airdrop will be the biggest airdrop of 2022. It has not been introduced yet but I have a feeling it will be this year. A lot of speculations on how its gonna be but no one really knew the process or selection they are going to do. Metamask is known to be a big wallet project and surely everyone uses it.

How can you be sure that airdrop will take place this year if the metamask team has not yet announced anything about it? And in the end, there may be hitches or delays in the process that will delay this event. Undoubtedly, Metamask is a well-known wallet with a large user base, but I would not hope that one can get very rich thanks to this airdrop. I'm ready to consider this a bonus if you are already a user of metamask, but I would be too lazy to specifically create an account on their service just for the sake of airdrop tokens.

Yes so far it looks like the Metamask wallet community is much bigger than other software wallet communities, so it's very likely that if they held an airdrop it would be successful because there must be a lot of fans following the event, but I'm a little doubtful that their Metamask will break this year's airdrop because considering the year this is a down market condition, so I think it's better if they launch an airdrop when the market has recovered because during a bull market condition will help make the project price better.

What they did is just a sort of compensation to those who are loyal to their platform. Users are indeed happy hearing that announcement but we don't have any information on how much we get individually as they already have allocated the total amount they airdrop. Anyways, it was not important for us to know at least to show how they look back at their users instead of just focusing on making a profit.

But mentioning other airdrops, I'm doubting about it, and never do I think they went successful as many of them had failed already.

The current crypto market is running downwards every day. It's hard to believe that an airdrop token metamask could create a historical moment. The Metamask token is too late. It should have been launched earlier. Whatever it is I will keep an eye on this token.

Big if true but sound more like just some unconfirmed rumor without any backup or credible source. Even if it was true, Metal Mask went from its height back when ETH was at ATH. Now, in the bear mode, I doubt a new token from Metal Mask would really fetch for a high price.

If that is real, im afraid in this bear market they have to postpone the airdrop because the market is not good.
Launching some crypto event in bearish market is more risky than in bullish market.

I have to say "used" is a bit better, like for example if I haven't used for a year let's say, but I used millions on it before, that should still be fine. However, a person who has metamask getting airdrop is a bit of a weird thing to require as well, because there are SO MANY people who used metamask and we all have bunch of accounts as well, so it can't be just something for each wallet, it needs to have some requirement to drop that. If they make it known beforehand, there will be a billion accounts suddenly getting activated.

But, if they just do a retrospective thing, they will have all the accounts that used it for the past year for example and drop the number, or even past 3 months would make it even more valuable.

Of course, it won't just stop using Metamask, there will be certain requirements like those that some projects have had retroactively before. A few things to note, such as the number of swaps per application, the volume, as well as the time period. And I think this airdrop may be only for those who have used it on Ethereum, but any judgment will only give the network a better chance to prepare, and I also think that if used regularly, the opportunity to receive a huge amount of money is also understandable.

Now is not the best time to give away new tokens. Look at the price of the token for optimism, a very large drop in price, like all coins on the market. If I were the developers, I would wait for a more suitable time, because the capitalization of the project will be low.

Of course, I agree that it's not appropriate right now to launch a coin of their own, but I think the problem depends not only on the market itself but on the plan they are working on with it. I think it's not just about creating a coin and distributing it to the users of the metamask; it should also benefit the metamask itself. But I will be very much looking forward to this happening soon and maybe getting their airdrop. Similar to UNI OP, I hope to be able to earn great fun with Metamask.

Its just my guess actually. With a lots of rumors and tweets from some of those guys related to them, it can give you a clue that they are close to launching. Some could get rich on that, especially if the value is quite good and also depends on the amount of money you are reffering as rich guy.

No need to create an account for their service, hence if you received airdrop from uni, 1inch, dydx, and other known airdrops, you knew already how this will work.

Just like he said, in order to prevent abusers, they wouldn't ever announced if what are the criteria to get the airdrop but this one must be obvious for us, it is only a common sense like one must be a metamask user for a long time now and have done a good amount of transaction there over the years.

I heard that metamask will launch their own token, so maybe buying their tokens early is also one the requirements to qualify and yes the drop can depend on the quantity of the tokens that you hodl. They can launch the program anytime if they wanted to and there is no need to wait for the market to get better because this could take a long time. Market conditions won't have any impact on the program anyway. A good project will still be a good project, no matter what.

But the biggest question is the requirements and the distribution, whales and scam developers are likely to benefit from these airdrops because of the transactions and the number of tokens in their metamask wallet, I hope they go with older wallets, if there is an official announcement it will create a big buzz as the majority of the community are metamask users, I think many of us here have metamask as their first wallet in Ethereum and Binance

I doubt this gonna be real caused by during market was destroying everything started from the people's life, trust and many more. I just see some people were talking about this rumour in the past but i don't even think if metamask is need this airdrop. So far metamask is still having bunch of users. Token may be good only for the airdrop participants but this is not always working for the developers. I do like metamask without any token rather than issuing the useless token only for the speculation purpose like that

It would be great if they made it clear about this program. Many people had heard about the rumors before and used it more often on the metamask in hopes of getting a retroactive association. I think the current situation is not so good that they can bring surprises to users, but I think for those who have received large airdrops from the market, they will completely understand how to get future airdops.
