Reason why I won't be buying top altcoins in this bear market

I totally agree with what you have said.  I mean we should understand that altcoins are not a good choice in these bear market times.  I prefer to put my funds on coins or tokens that already have good fundamentals in the market and of course they are not altcoins.  I am a person who prefers to invest on the long term and I think that is the best choice I can make.

The bear market is not suitable for buying altcoins, this will create a lot of speculation if it continues to be forced to buy, therefore it's good when market conditions are like now, investing in coins that have strong fundamentals, strength and utility at market times back on the green line, at least the coin gets the top 5 place the correction phase is complete, if we are not on a coin like this, then the return on investment will not produce maximum profit

Only Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB are likely to be irreplaceable in the market because these three coins have so far received very high trust from the public so that even when the bull market has returned and many new coins have emerged that are built with better technology but I don't think it makes investors leave the three coins because the three coins have proven to be able to provide greater returns than investing with coins that only rely on hype.

As you could see, the majority of these scam projects are new projects. If you are trying to say that they are more reliable than those on the top 20 coins, you are wrong. Those on the top rank are based on their market capitalization (if I was not wrong). It was to know that this will affect their prices and investors' market view. Like to say new projects are mostly in hypes which gives chances to earn more but on the other side, these projects seem to give losses if misses the chances. If you think about long-term investment, don't get fooled by these new projects instead, choose the old and top-listed coins.

I think OP is partially correct. There may be some altcoins which may not hit their ATH again but we can never know which those coins would be.
At the same time, its the altcoins that rise more in a bull market so avoiding investing in altcoins would be again a major missing for the bullish gains.
It all depends on how good we are at coin selection. The game is to enter a good trade at a good time.

What is definitely an error is to invest in random tokens non making research about them. Of course popular top tokens will hardly make as much x as a perspective newbie but most of them are much less risky as well. So it is good to invest in some new tokens but it can be so that all that investments will go to 0 and you should be ready for that. Investing in good old assets is not a mistake, it is a cautious investing.

I guess you are well experienced and know how to look at the condition of the market, all these three points are all correct, and have experienced that myself, coins now come and go hype cool down and if you just follow the hype you will be in trouble of losing all you've got, it's better to just concentrate on coins which proven there worth in the market in times of bull and bear market, gone are the days when new coins are developed by experienced and dedicated developers.

It will not be true for ethereum and bnb coin. ETH is also an altcoin and I don't think it needs to prove to you anymore based on what it has performed in the market over the years, BNB is an altcoin that seems newer than ETH but it is backed by the largest centralized exchange in the world and the bsc network is also a formidable competitor to eth and its position since 2018 has always been firmly maintained.

I don't buy the news that the LUNA has been attacked.  I think it is an inside job since the developer issued an order of increasing the old LUNA supply with the idea of getting funds out of the inflated daily creation of the old LUNA tokens.  LUNA collapsed because of the incompetence of the dev by making a wrong step toward solving the issue.

It is highly likely so but any project can have some unexpected problems. If bitcoin will unexpectedly fail all crypto'll do the same so no sense in discourse about it. And as for ETH or BNB and of them can do some mistakes wich can cause lowering their rates: ETH plans to switch from PoW to PoS what can be painful (or beneficial, who knows?), BNB reputationally is strongly connected with an exchange and any problems with it can cause problems with BNB. I think it is important to keep in mind that everything is risky, even high trusted projects.

Yeh you are absolutely right bro those altcoins which has take top position in Coin MarketCap in past but now they are far far away form top position in CoinMarketCap. If we observe the market deeply we find out that in past the coin which has a name NEO was in the top list of CoinmarketCap in past but now it's too far away from top coin list.

People needs to hear this a lot more, this is not something that can be emphasized more. I mean people see top 10 coins, and think that all those top 10 coins will be awesome in the future. Go back to 2014 and check the top 10 and see how many are here today, go back to 2015,16,17,18,19 even 20 and 21, because there are some changes even from that recently. Top 10 changes, let alone top 20 which changes even quicker. So people need to realize that there is no guarantee that you will make a profit if you invest into something at the top. Sure btc, eth and bnb looks solid, but all others are build on quicksand if you ask me.

• 3 stablecoins (usdt, usdc, busd);
• Solana, which is still in beta stage and frequently stops the blockchain;
• Ripple, which has not updated its ATH in almost 5 years and is constantly hounded by the SEC.

honestly I don't invest in altcoins anymore, altcoins have become something that will only make people lose money. after the last events it became clearer how dangerous altcoins are for this market, even these top altcoins are not good investments. ETH which is an altcoin that looked promising also depends a lot on bitcoin, when the price of bitcoin drops a lot it takes all altcoins together, so I see no reason to buy altcoins, it is better to buy bitcoin than altcoins. at least we know that bitcoin is more reliable even when its price drops a lot we can predict that one day it will rise in price again

you see that no investors will like to buy coin that is not good or that does not have live of living. Bitcoin is strongest cryptocurrency that the volatility is encouraging and this bear market every one will be careful of the coin they invest with so that if the bearish market continue they still have hope increasing one day, Bitcoin. The current bearish is quite literally just following the past chart, of course there's gonna be bearish after huge waves of bullish already coming.
If it's the matter of reaching ATH, I'm sure majority of the altcoins in the future gonna reach their ATH and may be even surpassed it. If you could analyze the chart from the past, you could figure out that before reaching the new ATH most of the altcoins gonna be reaching ATL first.
