Is paper money really dead? How can we face off with bitcoin?

much better idea to make decorative artificial flowers, than using bank notes as wallpaper in the last century.

i was beginning to think that bank notes would soon only be used as toilet paper in the next high inflation cycle.. but then they changed it from paper/cotton based (nice and soft on the buttocks) and instead made plastic shiny banknotes (not excrement absorbing and too shiny to wipe anything, and "ouch" paper-cut on a butt-cheek is painful)

so its a good recycling method for bank notes to be artificial flower decorations

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

A bouquet flower of paper money is just a gift to people who like to flex their wealth and it doesn't mean the paper money on the bouquet can't be used anymore since they just folding and arrange the paper money, not to cut it. It doesn't mean worthless since it will be used again and the thing is, removing the paper money one by one isn't easy, it's time consuming.

Now I ask, in which country you're live and which currency you're using to pay goods, bills, etc?

This is very common here in our country. It's just for a present or gift related to me.
There are some people who are happier to receive cash instead of some gifts that in things so they can buy and use the cash somewhere else.

For me, we can also use Bitcoin for this, like using some paper wallet with Bitcoin inside or whatever just to introduce Bitcoin to other people.
It will be just creativity.

I'm not carrying much cash these days, using my smart watch for digital payment most of the time. The only time where we actually use paper money in bulk is during lunar new year. Sending a bouquet of money flower will be something that my wife will love Smiley

The solution that bitcoin offers as well as an alternative cryptocurrency is also great, but it is a long process that has never been easy until now. Also, think back to the past. I see before when the ancient people even transacted through only seashells, or more advanced minted coins,... Now we see paper money and it remains an important part of financial operations. I think the change of the future will be very difficult to predict. Maybe when our lives are good enough for the things that people are using to function properly, there will be change.

This is one of the most "original" comments that I have ever seen here and I would lvoe to give it a reward like oscars if I could, PAPER CUT ON BUTT CHEEK is a great band name as well lol, thinking more punk because of the gothic and depressive under tone Cheesy All jokes aside, I agree that paper money or banknotes as they are called, will not be available for too long.

It is not used that much even today and the more elder people start to pass away, the more younger generation will become older generation and thats when we will start to not use crypto at all. I am guessing that the best thing we can do right now would be to let time handle all of this, we do not need to do anything.

Gifting is done in different forms. This is a new way to gift, instead of providing with a flower bouquet that doesn't have any usage afterwards. Though the paper money is going to be useless, for now it is valued and people are much into it. Even now it is possible to see people that hasn't got used to card payments. For them cash is king unlike the inflation and other factors. Maybe in the later years we can experience these flowers bouquets replaced by a paper wallet.

that's nice question.irrespective we are using cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin to perform other transactions and especially for country that accepts cryptocurrency for payment of bills. But fiat currency is more acceptable to those of the countries a digital and decentralized currencies is been accepted. So believe that no country currently that doesn't accept fiat for payment of bills, so therefore before fiat can be eliminated and other currency take over it will be one thousand  (1000) year's coming. So op supposed to respond to your question.

Paper money will still exist a hundred years from now, but we are not sure about digital currency.  It seems to look at that people appreciate much with paper money more than these digital currencies which in fact, some countries aren't yet supporting. It is to say that people are too much confident with this and they can use paper money where ever they are and are accepted, unlike card payments. And much more as a gift than other stuff like flowers.

Paper money is not dead but it will be dead, eventually! But don't make any mistake thinking that crypto will kill paper money! Paper money will be killed by CBDCs and it will be hugely beneficial for the government while commoners will loose their rights to privacy.

Bitcoin will remain as a parallel economy the way it is doing right now. Adoption percentage will increase but the mainstream economy will still be dominated by fiat and not bitcoin. There's no question of face off.

Paper Money is not dead.
Majority of Rural areas use it, even if you talk about a country like the UK there would be places where you would need hard cash and you won't be able to go along with using just the card or something normal there are not even a lot of people with bank accounts some of them still hold their money as gold or silver in countries like India. In a country like Ukraine you would have to submit cash for every bus ride as well, who says paper money is dead? Just because the society and the advertising is dominated by the rich and more fortune people does not mean that it's true. Paper money is still going to be there rest we can always use Bitcoins if we get the chance to.

While paper money is private, instant and costs nothing to transfer, it suffers from inability to be sent across a communication channel, hereby the Internet. Since the kickoff of the World Wide Web, people have got the comfort to enjoy goods and services using the Internet. Therefore, we have a problem in the way we will carry out transactions online, in a private, cheap and nearly instant way.

Both usage and form of money has evolved over the ages, before money, people acquired and exchanged goods through bartering. The world’s oldest known, securely dated coin minting site was located in Guanzhuang in Henan Province, China, which began striking spade coins sometime around 640 BCE, likely the first standardized metal coinage. Parts of Europe were still using metal coins as their sole form of currency until the 16th century.
The first paper currency issued by European governments was actually issued by their colonial governments in North America. Because shipments between Europe and the North American colonies took a long time, colonies often ran out of cash. Instead of going back to a barter system, the colonial governments issued IOUs that traded as currency. The first instance was in Canada (then a French colony). In 1685, soldiers were issued playing cards denominated and signed by the governor to use as cash instead of coins from France.14
Around 700 CE, the Chinese moved from coins to paper money. By the time Marco Polo—the Venetian merchant, explorer, and writer who traveled through Asia along the Silk Road between 1271 and 1295 CE—visited China in approximately 1271 CE, the emperor of China had a good handle on both the money supply and its various denominations.

The case of Singapore money flower is looking like a perfect gift for any occasion. It is like a decorated flower with a multi-variant usage. The paper money might some day become scares and might move into extinction with the digital CBDC replacing the old fashioned way of monetary transactions but it might take longer time to become a reality especially in developing and under developed regions.

The believe that Bitcoin will someday kill paper money is just an illusion that will only stir false hopes and perceptions. The world is going digital and same is transaction. This has triggered CDBCs that can be a powerful tool to help fight inflation, double spending, money laundering if well managed

Paper money is not dead and we are still going to use it for long before the era will die off. The digital money is here to stay and I everyone of us whether old or young should be prepared and ready for this digital currency era that is taking over the financial industry. Although many countries are still against the crypto era due to many reasons that could hinder the consistent growth of individual economy. The rate by which different digital projects is spuring out is very consistent and with this the crypto market is becoming more bigger with time.

I don't think that paper money will die  because crypto , after all, paper money is a currency created by the government to support the economy of a country and even if later crypto will be adopted as an alternative payment maybe it's just a supporter, now the development of crypto has comprehensive but that doesn't mean the government will exclude people who really don't understand technology, besides that I think paper money and crypto will be able to coexist and support each other to be able to make the economy better later.

Is paper money really dead? How can we face off with bitcoin

Fiat otherwise known as paper money isn't dead but rather having an alternative use of bitcoin digital currency replacing it significance and role in the economy market because many opportunities lies with using bitcoin than fiat, especially when we consider how inflation is really affecting the current status of the world economy system, things have been unstable while amidst these many found bitcoin as an alternative and next available option that best suits thier needs, fiat may not go extinct for now but bitcoin is surpressing it role in contention.
