Throughout the World there is more restriction over the operation of different businesses. What we see with Macau is different, because the country itself is dependent on the gambling industry. Macau should plan some alternate way to keep the country's economy stable, when there is no big profit from the gambling industry. I'm sure there are alternatives. It's not that they are doomed because the gambling industry there will be weakened. Besides, it's not in the long term that they will experience that outbreak. The government here surely, of course, has some alternatives and other options but it's just that, they are really a gambling country and they surely have lots of money on reserves even for let's say they will stop their gambling operations there for at least a year. They can surely cover what they lose.

If the government is getting a huge amount of tax from a certain business, they will do everything to keep it and let it operate continuously despite the pandemic. Just like in our country, the outsourcing industry has a huge share of taxes to keep the government firm during the pandemic so it operated amidst the Covid last 2020. The government of Macau would let the operation of gambling in their country continue to support their country's needs during the outbreak and this is necessary so their economy will survive.

Most likely there would really be  those changes if they would really see and if they would find out that their revenue is highly been affected due to people arent going into physical casinos.

Maybe the gambling laws and regulations will be revised and adapted to the current state of affairs because if they keep that up, chances are they won't be able to survive if the situation continues to deteriorate. With the growing status of this virus everywhere, it should make the government care more about its people and consider their interests. according to the link you shared the covid testing has ended tuesday, i looked for other news if the testing continues but i didn't find it.  talking about the right decision or desperation I think the decision has been made by the government and involves many interested parties, especially economists.  therefore I think it has gone through the correct mechanism.  and i agree with other members opinion if the casino is closed completely it will destroy the economy in macau region.

True, however it should be also a priority to find another way to produce income, as being so dependent on any single industry is bound to cause problems like what they are seeing over and over again, for example there were countries that were incredibly dependent on the tourism of people foreign to their county and I am sure that such an industry has not recovered either, as with the economic crisis we are going through many people do not have enough money to pay for their basic necessities let alone a vacation.

Do you really think by several decades or centuries Macau didn't work in other industries? What this place has to offer? There are even not many resources here compare to the usual country. Well, I think that for now, we have to take things in a calmer way, we can't fall into stress, I think it's better to focus on attacking and staying healthy without any type of disease, covid-19 or any other type, later we will see how the other things can be treated, but if we start thinking about what is coming in the future, what we will achieve is great stress and our health is what will be affected, for now if the covid-19 continues attacking, at some point herd immunity will come, that there will be sometimes people who are affected, but it will pass, we should not get into our heads or worry more than normal,because that and we begin to think that the only way is to depend on our luck in a casino, it is not something encouraging.

I do not think Macau's government planned to reduce gambling activity in the region, they are more after money from gambling taxes than anything else, people should protects themselves, take the vaccine and follow precautions not to contract the disease.
