Chill dude sometime the new smartcontract is needed as an alternative thing for the ethereum blockchain which was very expensive at that day. it doesn't mean if the ethereum blockchain will always be perfect and the fact if you shall realized about this if people are also avoiding the huge fees on ethereum blockchain. So, investing in the new blockchain has become the best answer for them. This is not a wrong thing.
