Polka Dot can recover old all time high if whole market get back there previous position. altcoins price always depend in bitcoin. So before think about any altcoin. You have to think about bitcoin. If bitcoin again go back $60k+ then all altcoins  will recover again. And polka dot is a good project, so this coin will definitely reach previous ATH

I don’t think the bitcoin bottom is in yet so no, alts haven’t bottomed just yet.

There are a number of people who have made similar guesses as you, but that does not mean bitcoin will not spike. There is no certainty in the market and everything is subject to change. Everything depends on bitcoin all altcoins are now affected by the bear market and i think dot will still go down if the bear market continue, even some new projects  failed because of the bear market, bear market is an opportunity for some small investors so some people want bear market and some dont. You are very wrong to say that investing in altcoins is a waste of time. In fact, investing in bitcoin and altcoins cannot be compared because there are completely different risks, completely different terms of reasonable investment and returns. Bitcoin is about minimal risk and long-term holding. But you can forget about big profits in bitcoin if you have a small deposit. If you invest in new altcoins, the situation here is much more promising, if we talk about the yield, but the risks are higher here, and the terms of investment are not so large. It is senseless to hold some altcoins for years, because they often stop growing and just stand still. From this you can conclude that altcoins are good for speculation and bitcoin is good for long term holding. ^ Altcoins are not advisable for investing in the long term and I won't advise this to everyone, we should be careful upon investing in altcoins because we don't know what their real utility is in order to survive in the crypto space. Altcoin should in the short term because they are very risky if you see that you have profited something like 15% from your capital, just sell it quickly, don't hope it will double because the more you will wait the more it is very risky.
I think the best is to stick with the BTC since it was proven to us that there is always a pattern that it has a bull market.

The point is that most traders are expecting a bull market to start or have started. But this is because of the collective conscience of traders expecting for the best. It should be carefully approached because every long bear market trends to get sudden dips.

Altcoins precisely don't see that better recovery as Bitcoin shows. Hence investing in those means you are somewhat gambling into the unknown. The best process is to wait and watch the movements till a bigger margin of price appears.

So, we may be in a good period for altcoins. For this reason, I think it might be good to buy altcoins gradually.

The bottom price was around 900. it seems like crypto is in a good track right now. I was seeing some people were also accumulating more and more tokens this time. This can be a signal if there will be a huge pump that may occur very soon. The market always works like that, the altcoin market always follows the movement of the top 2 coins. We cannot see altcoins growing while bitcoin is going down.

I highly recommend Dot, it's a potential altcoin and worth holding for the long term. The market is going up after the Fed announcement, I think if we want to invest, we should wait instead of buying now. The market will still correct a lot, I think the bear season is not over yet.
