If gambling is made into a profession then I don't think the goal is for self-entertainment. But gambling here is more about getting money or profit. What is certain is that all professionals come from amateurs. So from that amateur gambler will learn asset and emotion management. I think those two things are the most important.

They are not theories, they are mere suggestions which can be broadened to numerous extents, if yo in are actually interested in knowing about the theory that MIGHT be behind the gambling addiction, you should pursue the Psychological aspect by using the social learning theory. There is not a lot of advancements being made in this area since it's not studied that intensely, but maybe linked to things like OCD and ADHD so we might have a spectrum of people more afflicted by the notion of being a compulsive gambler. Other than that as a form of entertainment is amazing but don't feel any regrets after loosing.

That is good advice, but unfortunately, not all gamblers want to follow it because the first time they play gambling, they are not as prepared as @OP said. They tend to follow their instincts to gamble and use more money when the money in their account runs out. I don't think there is any strategy that can win you games and bets in gambling. Your winning is gambling is only because of your luck and there is no strategy in the world that can make you lucky or unlucky in a game.

No, sorry. I mean it's not some kind of theory but much more a suggestion. I have to edit it now.
But if we talk about theory, then there are definitely some theories that we can possibly read about gambling. But so far we are the organization that conducts analysis of bad behavior in gambling that gamblers tend to experience, we are simply gamblers or people who discuss gambling problems based on events in the field.

Honestly, I'm not a good gambler in terms of rules and principles in carrying out all of the above suggestions. As a casual gambler, I am well aware that the most unavoidable weakness is emotional control. Whether we realize it or not, because basically gambling for us is a means of entertainment before betting, but after being in the middle of the game we or I personally seem to be in the flow of casino games. There are good youtube channels that give good advice, I happen to know many good channels, of course I don't follow their game tips. but the advice they give is very helpful

Believe me, those mentioned are useless and can't be followed properly by most people for the simple reason that gamblers have different views.
