I have read an article that there is a best time to buy bitcoin. By considering these patterns, we can be able to buy bitcoin at a lowest price.

1. it’s better to buy Bitcoin in the afternoon since prices tend to drop. While the best time to buy Bitcoin is from 3 pm to 4 pm.

2. They say, you can also get a good deal from 11 pm to midnight.

3. Weekend is also the best for people to consider and decide on buying bitcoin since many business people trade Bitcoin on weekdays which causes Bitcoin price go up and the demand increase.

4. We should also avoid buying bitcoin in paydays since many people get their paychecks in the middle and at the end of the month. When people have more money in their account, people tempted to spend it and Bitcoin prices can rise quickly.

Does anyone follow the same this practices? or would you mind share your own practices if you have, to help us get an idea where is best time to buy bitcoin.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

If you do such claims it would be interesting to know in what time zone you are, since otherwise it doesn't make any sense. Also the other things are true, especially that the price would drop a little bit to the end of the month. For example many mining farms have to pay for their monthly expenses like employee or electricity, so they dump some coins. This system doesn't work however in a strong bullrun.

its always afternoon somewhere in the world.. but nice try

best time to trade is when you are awake and able to see if a daily price is at its high or low. rather then just trading at any random price whilst your half asleep because someone else told you and others to

the point is if you shout to everyone to buy at a certain time, everyone does this causing a pump. where everyone stupidly buys on a high and the one shouting out the commands of time to purchase has already bought before the pump and about to sell  minutes after the time at the hype tipping point.

its called pump and dump

funny part is by others following these practices. the worse times to buy then becomes the times mentioned. as they become the new daily high moments.

as for the payday thing..
some people are gamblers. they want to spend their months money the moment it hits their account. others are smart investors. pay off their bills/debt and then a week-fortnight later use whatever disposable income is left on investing/saving.

also not everyone gets paid at the same time.
.. but trying to instigate a common time frame people should buy(pump) is too obvious to some as a opportunity to also dump at the tipping point minutes/hours later..
unsurprisingly when everyone does this, a scheduled pump becomes a dump and the whole schedule you plan goes opposite with everyone taking advantage of the opposite by selling on the pump instead of buying on the scheduled pump

Imho the "best time of the day" may give some hits to day traders, but not much else. Also if it's a "known thing" (heh) speculators may also try to take advantage of this.
If you want to buy and hold for longer, DCA tends to be the best bet. Small variation from different hours (btw, for what timezone were those hours?) will not matter.

Buying  bitcoin is like going fishing. The best time for fishing is early in the morning just when you see the sun start rising and then at the end of the day during the dawn. These are the times when the fish are most hungry. Maybe not so coincidentally, these are also the best times for making trades. Get up from the bed early in the morning and buy/sell some bitcoins when you are hungry. (from 6A.M. to 10A.M.)

Also from 5 P.M. to 8-9 P.M. works near flawlessly as well.

You do not have to consider all these if you want to hold on long term, also considering it will only mislead if you want to trade.

1. it’s better to buy Bitcoin in the afternoon since prices tend to drop. While the best time to buy Bitcoin is from 3 pm to 4 pm.

2. They say, you can also get a good deal from 11 pm to midnight.
Countries have different time zones, afternoon in one country can be evening or morning in another country, so do not believe that. Also this is more like trading, but trading is beyond that.

3. Weekend is also the best for people to consider and decide on buying bitcoin since many business people trade Bitcoin on weekdays which causes Bitcoin price go up and the demand increase.
I also still see this more as trading, trading is beyond this too bull market sometimes can start from weekend, not common but it do happen.

See the last weekend, even bitcoin dropped on Monday.

This should also be considered, which exchange?, when to buy it on global exchange where that many countries apply salary at the end of the month (between the 25th and 30th), this makes a difference with my country, where many employees get payment salary in begin of the month (date between 1st and 6th), I think we have to pay attention where to buy it between global and local exchange because this the point, even though only have a bit different price.

If I follow your first claim, I should be buying by now.  Yeah, it can happen and it does happen, some people do things like that but not everyone, and not all the time and opportunity can be followed.  But if I follow all that on the list at one time of purchase, I won't have to buy now because it is not weekends.  Sometimes others just buy when they want even without following the day and time so even if they have extra money to buy they don't consider that because they are still looking at the movement to see if it is time to buy or just sell.

I have read an article...

You're going to get off the hook for plagiarism because you say you read it in an article and you're not trying to pass it off as your own, but next time you'd better put the link to the article. I'll put it for you.

When is the Best Time to Buy Bitcoin

About the article, I see that there is some bullshit in it to be honest with you, as other fellows have pointed out:

If you do such claims it would be interesting to know in what time zone you are, since otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

About the rest, it may make some sense and it seems to me that they want to draw some parallel with the stock market, but I wouldn't go by any of that to buy, and I don't think it's going to make that much difference even if they're right.

You're going to get off the hook for plagiarism

yes there is some ettituete that when someone says they read something, others might want to be interested in reading it too after seeing what the poster says.. but its not a plagiaristic requirement to reference it, where there are punishments like getting sued for not quoting the source..

this is not some scholars dissertation portal
its a discussion forum

it doesnt really matter about plagiarism. most peoples posts are not individual thoughts anyway, but just repeated scripts of something they heard a friend say or read somewhere.

the amount of times i heard people repeat silly things word for word from someone else in their little boys club, or something they read that was spoonfed to them does irritate me, but at the same time its not plagiarism.

yes its good to reference stuff just for detail sake of people wanting to find out more, if they are interested in a topic.  but its not an actual requirement..

like its not plagiarism to say that bitcoin is a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online
payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.

yes its from the white paper of bitcoin. but thats not plagiarism even if it is word for word. no money is being made from saying it. and this forum does not require people to have to reference the bitcoin white paper every time they say it.

dont be anal about thinking plagiarism is a big thing on a discussion forum.  this is not a university.
its a discussion forum not a scholars dissertation submission portal.

there is no academic credit system that gives people a qualified degree/certificate that can change someone's life prospects by this discussion forum

Why do you have to mind "best time of day to buy Bitcoin"?

Daily trading is bad as you will lose your mind with market changes. Dollar Cost Averaging is good and with it, you don't have to mind price change in a few days, few months. Therefore best time of day to buy Bitcoin is not a solid question.

The website unbanked.com looks informative and I will find some informative articles to read. Thanks for sharing.

*Source : When is the best time to buy Bitcoin

All of this are pure conclusion with no proof that people look at this as reason for them to execute their orders. But actually you can buy anytime you want as long as you are in right mind doing decision because bitcoin is volatile and every move is crucial on this. Weekend is somehow good but it doesn't give us guaranteed good entrants if we want to buy on this day because sometimes in crypto market didn't move according to what we like.

And which timezone does this article give? Or does it assume that everyone is living inside North America (which ironically has 4 different timezones itself)?

If you do not have an assumption of what timezone these times are based in, then you can easily come to the wrong conclusions about the best times of day for you.

Timezone.  Cheesy I think he forgot that.
There's a good day but not time and I think it was discussed in the Trading Discussion but sadly it's difficult to find. Also, not everyone agrees with the theory since there are circumstances it doesn't really happen.
All you could do is keep an eye over all the exchange and see if there's a similiraty on which day it is best to buy. But I doubt there is a real perfect time to do it.

The perfect to purchase Bitcoin is before and after the closing of daily candle UTC timezone depends on the trend. Because the price usually drop are recover a bit before it continue the trend to fill the CME gap.

We have different time zone so it will be very hard to get the perfect timing forbest buying opportunity unless the event same to all of us which is daily close and open.

Nah, I don't think there is a best time since the market is open 24x7x365. So somewhere around the globe, it might be afternoon for traders, but on the other part, it might be midnight.

But I remember this report 2 years ago: New Analysis Finds That Mondays Are the Best Days to Buy Bitcoin.

There is some data presented in it, but then again, it's really up to us to believed on this report or not.

There are different countries people available here it will better if you put utc time here. And it is doesn’t matter for holders but if you do day trading and want some profit Daily then it can work for you. But it will not happen every days. It is just happen for some days but if market get crash then it will not work. And you will get a big loss. So i suggest you to do hold. Now market is on soo dip so it is good time to buy and keep holding.

Does anyone follow the same this practices? or would you mind share your own practices if you have, to help us get an idea where is best time to buy bitcoin.
I am not sure about the "afternoon" part, because this is not like the stock market, bitcoin is traded 24*7 for 365days and hence somewhere or the other it is afternoon.

But I do see differences during paydays and weekends, the former showing a slight bullish trend and the later showing stagnancy or even a bear trend.

To be honest, time of day is not that much applicable to an asset that is traded every second in my opinion. Some others might think otherwise - but I feel it is an oversimplification of trying to fit bitcoin into the already existing fiat asset classes.

For me the best time to buy bitcoin is when it is in the bear market, that is what newbies should keep in mind.

I don't think that any of this actually works. I mean even if you know when to buy, you still have to figure out when are you going to sell.
Let me decompose your statements for you:

1) Ok, you buy in the afternoon, but we're in a bear market. Next month Bitcoin is down 25% from where you bought.
2) Same as first.
3) This is non-sense. The fact that an asset is traded more during weekdays does not correlate in any shape or form with its increase in price. In other words --> trading activity <> buying activity. See the first 2 points.
4) Believe me, money coming from paychecks is nothing compared to the trading activity of institutional investors (of the so-called 'whales' essentially). Even if the fact that people make most of their Bitcoin investments on paydays the impact on the market would be insignificant is what I'm saying.

If truly this was the case ho you can easily get the best Bitcoin prices then most would have been buying at a good price but you know why this cannot work?
1. Different time zone all over so the timing won't work.
2. Even if it were the same time zone all over hypothetically and people know this, guess what, higher demand during these times will mean what? force the price up.
