Are you implying cross chain dex? There are plenty such available already. For ex, https://router.via.exchange/

1inch, uni and others started without token, so yeah ofc you can have it without token.

I don't know why your tittle and the main point of your thread is somehow different, in your tittle you ask that "is it possible to build dex without having a token?" then it is very possible, in the earlier day of DEX most of them was build without any token, but then they need to scale up, so they create their own token with each own purposes.

But in your main thread, you seems like looking for a cross-platform DEX, I and some of the reply already mention the experimental DEX, but you can find some of currently existing a cross-chain bridge, it may be not exactly what you need, more like a workaround solution.

Sorry guys for not checking here for a while now. I totally forgot that I wrote here. Everyone is right, my topic is a mistaken one, I didn't know what they were named back in the day, but now I know what they are called. What I was looking for was called "dex aggregator". Which means one website that includes all dex's together and gets a cut from all the swaps made on those dex's via their website.

So basically you have a website where you have erc20 all dex's in single web page or app, and then people swap there using all those places, like lets say they did eth to axs on 1inch, you get a cut from it, then bsc to cake on pancake and you get a cut from it, its multi-chain dex aggregator.

Hopefully I would do that one day, its a very hard project to do marketing, people are fine with using all these places individually, convincing them to stop using these giants, and instead use you for all of them, would be hard to convince, you need insane marketing to do it. But if you could do it, you would totally be able to make a living out of it.

I love pancakeswap and uniswap and all of that, but I just want to have a swap that has absolutely none of that. Obviously it will require a liquidity in order to be a DEX, but that could be attracted from all routers that is possible, and find the best rate?

So what I was thinking; a swap where you can swap any token in many chains. For example if you want to make a swap in ERC20 then it could use uniswap, or any other swap and their liquidity and search for the best one and whatever would give you the best return it will use that. If you want to do BSC then it will use the list and check the best rate there and would help you swap it.

It is quite similar to what metamask has, metamask has a swap feature as well where you can turn your tokens into other tokens using metamask, but they actually use other dex places liquidity to do, so you are using metamask but in reality you are swapping on 1inch for example.

I just want a website like that. It would have 5 chains for now, maybe add more later. It owuld check dozens and dozens of decentralized exchanges, find the best rates for you, and help you swap your tokens to any token you want with the best rate. And it would not have any native tokens because it is using other places liquidity anyway.

Of course it is, the people who create dex's and create a coin is only to enrich the owners.  They use them as incentives but honestly there really is no need for them to be operational.  Just another way for someone to make money off people.

It is possible to build an AMM without a token but, a token can be used for farming rewards and staked to earn a percentage of platform profits, like Cake and Boo. Right now Candle Chain AMM for example doesn't have a token, but they will probably move to that model in the future. Having a token to incentivize and reward users just makes sense. Check out what Ref Finance is doing for a good example.
