Yeah, their speed and mostly being in the injured section will be the signal of their aging.
But Sue was different at her last game. She looks like she can still play more but there must be other reasons for her retirement.

Sue Bird that age is likely prone to injuries but surely she is strong enough for that and if you didn't say that her age was already at 42, she doesn't look and feel like 42 to me she can surely play as if she was still in her prime, well if there are other reasons in hanging her uniform I really don't know and because she doesn't say anything about it at all,

This ain't happening anymore with most of the NBA players. At age 35, they are on the brink of deciding to hang their uniforms. Most deals they can make are veteran minimums for a year and it will be difficult to have one unless they have connections or they have something to contribute on the sidelines just like the position of Udonis.

I just recently checked the contracts of WNBA players, I didn't know it was way far from the amount NBA players make. Most are just 6 digits while in NBA they make 8 digits.

Well, if they feel OK I think they are free to roam the WNBA until they can manage to play, just like Sue Bird did, it is surely up to them, pretty much they surely know themselves pretty much if they decide to hang their uniforms early or not,

Well, I am never surprised if the WNBA players are just getting 6 digit salary while the NBA has 8, it is surely obvious that the number of support for the WNBA is not that high unlike the regular NBA, which has full support or many fans, and likely some NBA players are surely cutting salaries and supporting the WNBA on their own way just for the WNBA to thrive on their own,

Considering how fast their season is, yes. But I always want to look at the hard work these women do to make it more of an entertaining game. That should also be worth a good payment.
I guess it's not just with tickets but they also lack advertisers unlike NBA from sportswear, shoes, up to their drinking brands.

There is one good news for the LA Sparks after parting ways with Derek Fisher. (Fred Williams served as the interim coach)

but if we assess her before he decide hanging her uniform, she's still having it. As a fan, I can still say that giving
her good minutes to play will continue being productive. Sue has the leadership that we can say is still good for a
team, especially coming from a respective veteran star.

The WNBA badly needs the sponsor it can get, considering the NBA players get so much attention with the shoes, and naming the model of the shoes as theirs, so there is no surprise for that shoe if they could get the money from the sales then they will get a hefty huge sum just on shoes, it doesn't include the advertising that they are doing only on the NBA, because I don't see much with the WNBA, that is why some NBA players try to support the WNBA on their own

yup! Fred Williams will be the new coach for the Los Angeles Sparks after being the assistant coach for almost 3 years, and Seimone Augustus will be the assistant coach now,

Well, eventually it will surely show those ring rust will slowly manifest and no player is simply safe about it, Sue Bird is really not an exception even though she is surely having an easy time with her shots and still are welcome anytime on the Seattle Storm,

I will surely miss Sue Bird, and I think that she can still manage to play it, this season, but there are some other things why she retired, but I will surely miss her,

Maybe she's done playing, but a baller will always be a baller. I'm not going to be surprised if I will see her on the
bench helping the coaching staff.

She can go the same path how he's father continue loving the game, just my personal take though
and what I really wanted to see out from her, she can share her knowledge with young superstars
especially how to remain fit and healthy while playing the game.

I agree, she can surely be an embodiment for all women who want to play ball but didn't have the chance to do it, and likely to say courtside will be sure good for her in helping a team that she used to play for, or even a different team to help the future ballers on some struggle in dealing with playing in the WNBA, well I know that the WNBA isn't getting the love from some but I think there are other that authentically support it, I truly enjoy watching them play and not just a 2nd pick to the NBA but a worth watch and addition to my everyday do's, but surely I already missed Sue Bird playing inside court, and next season will surely not going to be the same again,

News just in, NBA Champion Matt Barnes says he is against a transgender woman playing in the WNBA, well, for me in my opinion if a woman would undergo a procedure in injecting hormones or something some will surely enhance their performance because they now have the hormones of male, and Matt Barnes is clear about it, but for me, she is still a woman so I think she is still can play in the WNBA, but if a guy would undergo a hormone female change I think that is really not allowed, because even though he underwent operations or hormone transplant, he is still a he,

Recently Layshia Clarendon admits that she had went chest masculinization surgery or removing breast tissue I think this is tolerable if it is not Hormone transplant,

Good point, no need to elaborate, as the explanation was clear on both ends. I believe that weighting the balance
in terms of what Matt Barnes said will be clear for the WNBA organization.

It's a big boost for transgender from Men to women form the advantages will be big
as the original hormones will remain, though there are some that will be adjust
while maintaining the body form, but still it's an advantage.

What Transpires for some women to be injected with hormones in my opinion is their own decision, but in doing so they need to undergo briefing and for the WNBA to not allow them to play anymore because of what they have done, I think a chest operation is OK but injecting a hormone is not really necessary, and needs to be addressed, for me it is not really normal for them to do so, I think the WNBA should do is to give them the decision to continue playing without the enhanced hormones, or to not continue In their career and pursue the used of hormones, well it is OK to be Lesbian or included in the LGBTQ community but to have injected male hormones while you play just needs to stop,

WNBA Statement about Griner they still think that Brittney Griner was wrongfully detained which is for me it is not, she was in a different territory and there are sure rules and different law there that she needs to follow when he is in another country, for me, it was really not wrongful to detained her, because she has committed a crime in the Russian soil, and no need for a further excuse about what she did, she has already done it,

I disagree too like Matt Barnes and I think it was discussed before by sports analysts in different sports.
It's not about sexism or whatever they call it. It's about avoiding unfairness when a transgender dominates the sport, especially in women's basketball or any sports with physicality happening.
There will be a lot of issues if they combine them.
The only solution for this is to make an LGBTQ+ league. There, no one should call it an unfair game because it was set for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community.

If that is possible, why not right? Give them their own league and allow them to create names in their communities.

Though it's another talk that needed to discuss and many more opinions will come up,
different from how others think about LGBT+ and maybe it will bring separation
and more talk about it. For now, let the league stay how it is and let fans enjoy how
WNBA performs.

No Problem Dude I was busy in the NBA and other sports as well and recently because there is no available WNBA to discuss then I think I will be here when there are certain news articles about the WNBA or a sudden trade now that is off-season that a player or team would certainly do,

Well, you are right it is OK to be Gay or Lesbian and are in a sport that you like as long as for example you are a woman and you have undergone a procedure that will enhance any hormone or have masculinity added to you I think that player is now prohibited in participating in certain All-women's league, now that she has enhanced hormones that will distinguish where she can play, well I think they will think of ways for them to participate in other league but not where they can have an advantage of strength, particularly Physical sports,

If that is possible, why not right? Give them their own league and allow them to create names in their communities.

But that is really so hard to come by, just like with the WNBA for women to have their own basketball league, is hard enough for some people to accept and support what else if there are many categories for the LGBTQ+ community to have their equal rights in certain sports that they want I think that would be a waste of government money in giving them that privilege, but again I may have sounded like a racist for them but if I apply the law of the Bible here then there will be just 2 individuals available and that is Man and Woman,

And you are right this is a different topic to discuss, but whenever WNBA is a part of the topic that needed to enlighten with for me women with injected Hormones are now out of the picture and not fitted to play for the WNBA anymore,

What I want to know is if there is an effect of testosterone to already grown women. Will it affect their performance in their current sport. I know for some sports, they do not allow transgender men to compete in women's sports if they were transgender past a certain age. That is the age when testosterone already affected their growth. If testosterone still gives a certain advantage against straight females in basketball, it should not be allowed. That should be considered cheating. But if testosterone has very little effect on the physical abilities of women after they reach a certain age, then they should allow trans women to play in WNBA. I am more concerned about the fairness of the sports than if they are born women or not.

It's your point of view and your right but we both know that there are always other's side.

Other opinions regarding to this matter and it's also  their own take about this topic, but yes I'm good with your explanation and if considering  the fact then it's not racist at all it's just getting the point from both business and sports side. More on how opinions will be taken  and be considered.

Sorry about the misunderstanding, what I mean is Men Hormones if a woman is injecting Men Hormones it will surely change her not just her voice and physical appearance but even her muscle build, because she now has men Hormones in her body that could surely affect the way she is now inside the ring or play on the court, body muscle for strength is mostly the change it will do to women, and Testosterone is most likely seen in both men and women, injecting men or women Hormones does makes a huge effect on both men and women, on the appearance and body physique, so it is not really allowed, sorry for the late reply just been busy because the NBA has already started,

It's your point of view and your right but we both know that there are always other's side.

Well, it is surely a different topic, and many surely will have a different stand on this but this is just what I think, but it is better to just respect their beliefs and respect what are they thinking, and what are the sports official and surely the people on what their take, and we can not force them to really like the WNBA we have different likes and for me, I am just enjoying what I like and waiting for some news for the WNBA if there are some trade that may commence or some news about the players or the WNBA itself feel free to post it here,

Here to update about Britney Griner's custody in Russia. She is now back and dunking again.
Quote
Fresh off her elated return to the US after months in Russian custody, two-time Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner is back on a basketball court.
Quote
Griner’s first move on a Texas basketball court Sunday was a dunk, her agent, Lindsay Kagawa Colas, told CNN on Monday.

Big news for all the WNBA fans.
I saw this just recently when Candace Parker was doing the commentator job for TNT yesterday in Los Angeles.
The look on Candace Parker's face is a combined happiness and relief. For now, Griner is under psychological tests and I think it will take months before she recovers from the impact of being detained on another country's soil.

The big question for Griner though now that she is home, what's next? It's still unclear if she will go back to WNBA or if it will mean retirement and trying a new job.

Nice news but I will directly go to the possibility that he will come back and play before that retirement, still young and he can add
spice to the league, so better bring that excitement to all her fans.

We might see her back wearing a WNBA uniform, not sure what will be her setup but I still
believe that she missed the game and after that psychological test, she and her agent
will decide what will be the plan next.

Many Fans will be glad about this news but why am I not the only one that is happy, well maybe she got an offense that she needed to take responsibility for it, a case that is not settled yet, for me her arrest was not some political agenda but it is what it is and on the Russian country she needs to take responsibility for her action and illegal drugs is really not legal in Russian soil,

I really think she is great at bullying Shaquille O'Neal when she was on TNT and it is a great idea in getting her back to be a substitute for absent commentators, I really think she is happy in what she is doing and for her to be this great I think when she retired from playing she got a career for her, while I think Brittney Griner will return to the ball for the Phoenix Mercury, she said that when she gets back home she will surely play this season,

Well she surely will be back to ball but maybe after that assessment on the psychological test, but for me, I think she needs to get rehab for using illegal drugs instead of getting that psychological test, in my opinion, the WNBA needs to have her a penalty in using it in Russian soil, even though it is legal in the US it doesn't mean she can do whatever she wants in a different country,

It will the problem of WNBA, she should not get back without clearance first. Clear from any illegal substance in her body and they have to make sure she won't be going back to that. Perhaps, they could provide a clause that will say about forfeiting the contract if ever she does it again.

Let's hope they will, just to be fair with other players because I think there are also people who are not happy just like you.
Also, just to make it clear that this should not happen again or be repeated by either her or other players just because their country will protect them.

Good Idea! though I know there are many fans that want her to play in next year's season I think she needs to get cleared first, well it is a sure privileged to be free while you have committed something illegal in another country and even though it is Legal in the US, athletes should really avoid the used of drugs, it is not really a good role model for the new generations, and for this issue, I think not only Brittney Griner but with the list of players in the WNBA to be positive of drug abuse so a certain incident like this will not be repeated,

Let's hope they will, just to be fair with other players because I think there are also people who are not happy just like you.

Well, I am not actually happy I thought that they will let her finish her sentence on Russian soil which is not really that long, and because of her foolish actions Viktor Bout a prison swap exchange for her freedom, an arms dealer is now free and can roam Russian soil aswell, but I am not saying that Viktor Bout is evil incarnate (strong word) I think that his actions were just illegal and fairly enough trading Griner with Bout if you balanced their case Viktor Bout has a way bigger crime than Griner, but surely it all ends up to this but like you I wish it will not happen again,

And WNBA's return schedule will be next year, Saturday, May 20, 2023, so Brittney Griner has plenty of time to fix her issues, and clear her system of drugs,

Yeah right, she should learn or not just her but everyone should and not to repeat this same mistake when travelling outside your country
US can't protect them everywhere.

Let's focus on WNBA and the chance of seeing her playing inside the court again,
it will help her to forget the issue that she was during her detention inside Russia's soil.
