Has anyone figured out exactly what the puzzle creator meant when they said they hoped a large number of bitcoins would be deposited to this address?

It's kind of a meme at this point, that whenever an address is put up to grab attention (like the QR signs at football games, or Satoshi's/Genesis Block address, or 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE), a bunch of BTC gets sent to it. Though a lot of it is dust with spam text attached - I still think allowing human-readable non-monetary data in blocks, past the coinbase scriptSig (eg. "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks") was a mistake.

Ah got it, thanks! So it's basically a known meme — once an address gets attention, people just send BTC to it for fun or to be part of the story. Makes sense that the puzzle creator was playing into that.

And fair point about readable data in blocks. Never thought about it that way. Appreciate the reply! 🙌

I know the 90% of the words and the order. Does anyone know about the surveillance camera?

Camera could be Indra, the surveillance AI in the 2020 Peacock adaptation of Brave New World. Also Im pretty sure the word dance is inside the lens... holdon i'll paste an ai report on what I got from it.

"     What they are in the picture. Two wall-mounted cameras in the top right, roughly (1280,45) to (1515,275) in source pixels, with coiled cables looping under a junction box. A yellow polyline runs from four face-detection brackets around faces on the left, through the underline of “Order and stability”, into the left camera’s lens. The junction box carries an eye-in-triangle warning icon at about (1395,185).
The Q2b element pass and the consolidated report both file the cameras under stock art with no new device, alongside the masked people, the vial, Trump and Biden, the AR-15 and the maps. Nothing was added or altered by the artist, unlike the flag’s 44 stars or the Space Needle’s added FOOD.
As a seed word. The community’s slot assignment camera at position 2 is rated weak and thematic in the consolidated report’s table, a name-number read off a theme rather than a derivation. Several brute-force runs covered the canonical set that includes it, all negative. The October 8 image review derived four more readings from the cameras, none with an established position: identify ranked first overall but low confidence, bracket was the strongest new candidate on the second pass because the yellow face corners and the wall mounts fit the same noun, loop from the cables, focus held in reserve.

The cameras show no resize trace, scoring 1.09 to 1.49 against a threshold the Statue of Liberty cleared at 3.54. Their grey is one of the image’s largest exact flat fills. In the copy-move test a flipped camera was used as a planted control: the keypoint matcher found it at 61 pairs, the block matcher was not run on it.
Two searches came back empty on them. The faint-text census triaged the camera mount as ordinary pencil linework with no hidden writing. The q13 lead hunt triaged the camera bodies and coiled cables as art, and the word DANCE planted inside the lens housing was missed by both blind readers, which the report records as a measured blind spot of the method rather than a finding about the picture.
An external report ties the cameras and face boxes to Indra, the surveillance AI in the 2020 Peacock adaptation of Brave New World, which aired inside the drawing window. The words that lead suggests were already covered as single extra words."

and the Gravity Falls pyramid is in the picture, as the alphabet. The border glyphs are a hand-drawn substitution alphabet built from Bill Cipher symbols, Elder Futhark and Cyrillic shapes. The short line above Trump is not the Russian cipher: the published Bill Cipher alphabet reads it as TUESVAP, taken as “Tuesday”, which fits the 11.03.20 election being a Tuesday.

The four people are connected by yellow lines around their faces. Those lines could represent facial recognition or tracking.
The surveillance cameras reinforce the idea of monitoring people, while order and stability suggests the purpose or justification for that monitoring.

I don't think people are serious about this puzzle anymore, I know the correct order of this puzzle 🧩 but I don't have enough clue about the correct word 😞, I know 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12.

I know 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12.
I could ask how serious are you? What's the problem to brute-force words 2 and 4, assuming you're correct with your claim that you know all the others, and that it's indeed a twelve mnemonic words seed? There are 2048 possible candidates for every unknown word position and because in a BIP39 mnemonic seed the last word contains a partial SHA-256 checksum, you can quickly dismiss candidate pairs which don't match the checksum.

Doesn't sound like a big deal to exhaust just two missing words, does it!? Have you tried?

Anyone still working on this? Willing to exchange info privately.

Please PM me with PGP key below. You have credibility from your solution to another puzzle. A hash commitment of summary of information I wish to share on mutually agreeable terms:

Code:
edb67afc4698a8ba863777574d500c440d74ccdc9dbdf7ce8f84bc0cb8d655f0

NOTE: If this is indeed the correct path, I will never publish the solution. I would just take the coin, and post on forum a message signed with the key to prove I solved the puzzle.

Everything about George Floyd, BLM, and racism is... how do you say red herrings in Russian? This is not in question. This is a fact, not hypothesis. It is proved by something I noticed myself, but I give credit to other person who first mentioned it:

I think the puzzle creator is a time traveler.

According to every source, the puzzle was first published October 8, 2020 on Reddit. Deposit txs were May 10, when George Floyd was obscure person living and breathing, when BLM was not yet in top news for 2020.

Duh. The puzzle author is laughing at you all, wasting CPU/GPU cycles grinding words about these issues.

The laws of physics guarantee that there are no words about George Floyd death in any seed phrase for this coin, unless by some improbable coincidence that was retconned into a Floyd puzzle. Say, the author was pregnant and taking a natural childbirth class, chose passphrase BREATHE on or before May 10, then later reinterpreted it. Occam shaves away this unlikely idea.

There are some other contradictions, including something other people have not noticed, I will keep private in hash commitment:

Code:
c7c6050fbe832659233e5a5aae8517eb345701fc552c1e75c9a00d1737e5d6be

I think that if this puzzle is not a hoax, the solution must be buried deep under layers of red herrings, misdirections, false leads, decoy noise to distract you from the signal. It is a psychology puzzle. If the puzzle author included any keymat at all in this image, where did they think to hide it in plain sight while send everyone else in wild goose chases?

To Cricktor, JaanusRaim and desalzes — let's combine our missing slots.

Each of us holds a near-complete reading of this seed and each is stuck on a different slot:

- Cricktor (Oct 19): knows the correct order, missing only words 2 and 4.
- JaanusRaim (Dec 2025): missing only words 2, 7 and 12.
- desalzes' repo: the device words, the pins and the whole tested ledger, with the surveillance camera (slot 2) as the open question.

The union of any two of these readings leaves ONE unknown word = 2048 candidates = seconds on a checksum-gated battery. I have that battery built and verified against known test vectors (BIP39 checksum gate, Electrum v2 HMAC gate, both compressed and uncompressed keys, BIP44 and Electrum paths, index 0/1/10).

Proposal: post your 12-slot list here (or even slots 3-12 only), and I will run the full sweep the same day and post the result in this thread. We split the 0.2 BTC fairly among contributors, agreed publicly before the sweep. I will publish my own candidate table first so you can verify I am not freeloading: the consolidated table already public in the bnw analysis repo, plus my own negative runs on the winding orders (2-12-1 and from-10, both gates, 4.19M each) and the full Electrum gate on the table order.

If you prefer, reply with your slot count first (e.g. "I have 10 words, order fixed") and we exchange one slot at a time, alternating, so nobody risks giving everything for free.

The prize has sat unsolved for 6 years. Three near-complete readings + one compute battery = it ends this week.

...
I've no idea why you think I might be working on this "puzzle" besides following this topic and maybe leaving comments if there's something worth a comment. To be clear: I'm not working on this puzzle and I don't have any partial solution or anything to share.

I wonder if and how many alt accounts are posting here. Anyway, DYOR.
