cant connect with meta mask

Hi all . Cant connect metamask to ledger . I have updated ledger/m.mask wallet. i have tried to conect on chrome and firefox browser . any ideas pls ?

Try this. It may be of help:
1.Update your Ledger device to run on the latest firmware version
2. Update your Ledger device to run on the latest version of the Ethereum (ETH) app.
3.Ensure that Ledger Live is closed when connecting to Metamask.
4.Ensure that blind signing is enabled on the Ethereum app settings on your Ledger device.
5.Ensure your Ethereum (ETH) app is opened on your Ledger device before starting the "Connect Hardware Wallet"
6.Lastly,If the issue persists,set your Metamask account, restart your browser and try connecting your Ledger device to Metamask again.

Did you download it from the official sources? if so, restart your computer, it may solve the problem
Then update both latest firmware version and download https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live
If it doesn't work, what is the error message?

if you are using ETH only and not tokens I think electrum have a Fork for ETH

Then just connect your ledger , enter your pin, open ethereum app and click this:





Metamask is the best software to use your ethereum and erc20 tokens from your ledger nano device.
It is better than ledger live, as it allows better fees and transactions customization

There is no electrum fork AFAIK, if it exists it is  not recommended by ledger

I had similar issues to yours. I cannot connect my Chrome browser to metamask. I can log into metamask, do stuff like add tokens. But when I'm on Chrome and I click a link that is supposed to call up the metamask, nothing happens. The screen just stares at me. I have cleared metamask and Chrome cache. Still nothing. I'm at my wit's end

 re; JAERED answer .i sympathise with your similar problem . You are probably , like me ,trying to link to ledger for extra security . Thanks for everyone elses replies / time ....i will look into your suggestions to resolve this.

You've both tried removing the metamask extension and reinstalling it afterwards, but make sure you've archived everything important before removing the extension for reinstallation.
You are both using Chrome browser and you have followed all the suggestions people made above, but the problem still hasn't been solved for both of you. Try using metamask with another browser that doesn't share the source code with Chrome like firefox.
