Former is usually a long-term investor's strategy (a higher rish, higher reward approach). Latter is normally done by traders (safer imo). Which one are you? If you prefer for DCA and hold, you might as well stake it in platforms like mycontainer for a 3.9% yearly return. Choice is always yours. DYOR.

I would say just the opposite. It's clear that if you do DCA that is a lower risk and lower reward thing, whereas if you start to trade that is a bigger risk and bigger reward.

Context is important too when talking about risk and reward. We're talking about DOT here and not BTC. You cannot say lower risk on an altcoin that hasn't come as close as what BTC has sustained through multiple market crashes. It's harder to determine bottom prices on these alts. It might have dipped 80 or 90% from their ATH but there's no guarantee it won't drop another 90%. Waiting for a rebound/breakout and riding the wave is a much easier task.

Of course I can't guarantee anything but that seems like the most logical thing right now, higher risk and higher reward is based on your talent, lower risk and lower reward is based on the market.

If you are buying it, and accumulating even more, that means that it's going to be based on the market and what it does. But, if you are trading, then you are not basing it off the market, it's about how good you are, because even while going down you may make profit, or even when it's going up, you may lose money all based on your talent.

Don't you think indicators and signals that you read as a trader also depends on market movements? Market and talent goes hand in hand in whatever strategy you're going to use.

If you find it attractive enough for you, then act on what you feel is right about it and the market. I think maybe talking about DOT we can say a lot of things as well as some things about some people who have held and gotten big profits with DOT. I completely believe in it, but it is only part of the story. In the plan to hold crypto assets together, over time, the balance between profit earned and spent will look up in terms of safety. And I think when someone can go with it for the long term, they have a better chance of benefiting from it.

That is basically a show of force by Dot right now. However, what we need to actually handle currently is the fact that we shouldn't be really focusing on anything else. What this means is that we are in a situation where it would be difficult to end up with a problem, and that's just normal. What happens if people all suddenly decide to sell? Can you guarantee that it won't sell? How could you say that people will not start to cash out? We can't.

It means that all we can say about Dot right now is "so far so good" which is a good enough reason to invest, but not enough to guarantee anything to anyone. That's how I approach it currently.

It’s better to check from time to time since usually top coins become more stagnant and forget to have a good update so the investors can stay. DOT is still a good coin right now, but in the future its hard to tell. Just set up your target price and sell when you’re already happy. I’ll also advice to analyze further, know your budget and see if you can hold for that long before buying. You should not hold just because of any hype, this is already a big coin, probably very limited update left.

The parachain concept is new thing and it is supposed to make a big change in the network when complete implementation without flaw is done. However in between it'll encounter different issues and more competence can be felt from the other altcoins on the top order. In all parameters these are potential altcoins, which means these are low risk altcoins. So adding it to the portfolio for long term profiting will give good return.

Since bad things happened to LUNA, we should really be much more careful when deciding to invest in top coins. Although in the meantime, it can be said

Please make it clear to yourself how much profit you will want to make with it, as I see opportunities with DOT in the long run, but it is clear that an investor can get nothing if they are not clear along the way. invest. Polka Dot was on the list of good coins and I was happy to invest in it. Earlier when Polka Dot was priced at $6. then i bought and hold it. and i sold it for $20. But again the price of DOT dropped to $7.  I think it will go up again as the market improves. I will not tell you to invest here.  But I will say that maybe it can give a big profit. Do your own research before invest on it

When a person like James Woods is behind the project, there is no doubt about the success of the coin. And now the market has given us a great opportunity to buy Dot at a reduced price. The world is focused on the pandemic, inflation, and the on-going Russia-Ukraine crisis. Until everything goes back to normal, major crypto assets' prices won't show any indication of going up anytime soon. That includes Polkadot which usually moves according to Bitcoin's market behavior just like the rest of the other altcoins. It's a smart contract platform like Ethereum, so it has all it takes to become a true winner in the space.

I'd take advantage of this opportunity to buy and stake more DOT before the market explodes again. Who knows if you become rich in the future by doing this? Just my thoughts

My personal opinion is that Dot is better suited to long term goals than short term goals. Dot is not as strong as Eth, but it shares a lot of similarities with Eth in terms of its long-term potential.

There is no doubt that Dot is a good coin worth holding, but in crypto everything is unpredictable, so it is recommended that you do your research and do not invest money you do not intend to lose.

We are in a bear and people are actually focused on here now that prices are likely to dump more but other than that, they are also waiting for a recovery because many of them wants to sell badly.

You've said it yourself. Nothing lasts forever. Bitcoin, as well as any other cryptocurrency, can disappear if a new technology proves to be superior than Blockchain. Times are changing at a fast pace, so how long crypto will last would greatly depend on its ability to stay one step ahead of the game. Polkadot may be an altcoin, but it's certainly no "shitcoin". There are dedicated developers providing concrete results to make Polkadot a strong cryptocurrency project that will stand the test of time. Gavin Wood is behind it, so it's likely Polkadot will grow alongside Ethereum for many generations.

I'd say this bear market is the perfect opportunity to buy as much "top-tier" coins at a discount. DOT should be on your investment portfolio, as well as, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and BNB. Once the BTC halving occurs within the next 2 years, it's likely market prices will rebound back to the way they were. Maybe BTC will reach a new All-time-high in price, having a positive effect over DOT and other altcoins as well. Crypto is unpredictable at times, so I'd advise you to diversify your investment just to be safe. Just my thoughts

in recent year DOT had been making noise towards this but eventually after 2021 this coin starts dumping and now continuously lowering though it stays at top 10 yet there are no even good move recently.
but if you wanted to trust this for long term? then why not invest part of your funds and never go big for this one..

Just to remind you that if any bottom must become the best time to invest. How can you know when the break out will be happening? I meant it's quite impossible to accurately predicted when the break out will be happening with DOT.
You must also realize the fact that if this time DOT is at the bottom of its price. Starting to invest in this coin might be a good choice. If you are always trying to DCA and you may miss another bottom.
You didn't even predict if bitcoin can also increase anytime. This will be triggering the pump to the DOT as well.

In my opinion Polkadot is one of the best altcoins out of the many altcoins in the crypto market. and if you have learned a lot about Polkadot then there is nothing wrong if you invest in Polkadot because polkadot is an altcoin that has good projections in the future. however for now in bear market conditions very many altcoins have lost direction and value. Hopefully in the future they will return their value.
