What should we do when we are tired of the work we are doing?

I do work in a field that I like and even this work is included in my hobby. I love reading and writing. and my work is also related to writing. publishing news or something. I haven't even finished my writing (novel). because sometimes this job makes me have to adapt in a new place just to collect information as writing reference material. this used to be fun. but now it feels a bit saturated.

what should I do to bring back motivation in myself. so I can get excited about my job again?

quit that job and look for another , because it is not the job that is the problem but its you, your desire is against your job now .

you must be the one to adopt the job because you needed that instead of your hobby , remember that your Hobby cannot feed your family so best to made up your mind.

I don't think you can forcefully love a job that you don't love or like to do, but, what you can do is, like, every job has many tasks, evaluate which tasks you like the least and like the most, and then focus on the part you like the most and concentrate to improve that part. Or, you can quit the job as well if you are able to, and learn some courses online which you like and apply for jobs or work you love! Even if pay will be less, you will have fun and some passion that will motivate you continuously!

Take a break! There are plenty of things to explore. Why bury yourself with all the stress ? Yes, a short trip across the country sounds like a good plan.

One thing to know about work is that, work does not finish.
If you finish a task today, another awaits you tomorrow.
You may die working if you don't take a break, an someone else will do the work when you are dead gone.

Give  your earnings to your husband/wife, with the instruction to not give you any of it or any food for a whole week. The only way you can get any money or food is if you work so hard that you double the best output you have ever done in the past.

After a week you will be motivated to do a better job. Your hunger drives you on.

You can't forcefully love the job but the motivation to work is usually simple: get some money to live a good life. Personally, I would like to advice you to take a vacation and see how your earnings slowly dissappear. This fact usually becomes a great motivation to do any work you can.

If you are a freelancer, you can quit your job for a while and maybe start doing something different, or have a rest. Or you can do a very hard and tiring job, like cleaner or taxist

since is something you have passion for , since you have to go to fields to get information i think it should be  adventurous since it involves writing from experience it should be fun , i think you should learn something new and look for new ways to get information to bring back that fire that you have always gotten , since its your  hobby and also  what you have  passion for , good luck to that mate.

try to do one thing that we like when we are tired of work if you are a person who likes coffee try to enjoy coffee in a new atmosphere if you are a person who likes rhythm try to listen to music that you like when you are bored at work everyone has a way to entertain himself. There are many things we can do to entertain ourselves. So do what you love without harming others or those around you.

When I can’t take it anymore, I take a break and come back to it when I feel energetic. There is no point in doing something if you are mentally exhausted. Trading is something I enjoy, but there are times when I need a break and I take it.

It's common problem for creative people. As an illustrator, I sometimes drown in work and forget about real art, without customer's wishes etc, you know.
Actually there is the way to start making art for yourself and for self-development - personal project. But you should take it seriously.  Take your novel (or start new one, maybe blog or something like daily quote thing, if it seems easily) set rules and deadlines, find someone for whom you'll be must to report. Sounds like another work, but it's all about you, and it's really can help.
