As a newbie one finds it difficult to know the right time to invest. I really want to know if I can actually invest into Bitcoin at this moment.

It depends solely on you, really. There's a saying that's always the right time to invest in Bitcoin. I would add though that you have to make sure you know what you're doing and you should not invest money you cannot afford to lose (or keep invested for longer than initially planned).
The price is low now, but especially on short term it may go lower or may go up like crazy. (There are other possible scenarios too, also similarly likely!). I don't know. I usually recommend DCA - buy more smaller amounts in different days - but, again, it may be good or not.

Bitcoin has a history of making the investments look great after 4 years, no matter how bad they look earlier. I hope it'll keep this performance

Bitcoin all-time-time was $68900, now at $22000, a very good opportunity to invest. But if you know you can not wait for long term like 2 years or more, I will advice you not to invest, or invest what you can afford to lose. If you hold, you will make profit.

You can as well use DCA investment plan which should be better.

Now is always the right time for Bitcoin to invest if your goal is a long term investment because the price will surely grow in the future due to its deflationary token supply design and first mover for cutting-edge blockchain technology. We might not see Bitcoin at this price level for a long time once the market already recover and break the ATH.

Ideally, you can try to try averaging on your entry to take advantage of the coin's volatility. If you want, then you can buy more. Actually, there's no perfect time or the best time to invest in Bitcoin, because everything in crypto is unpredictable no one really knows the actual movement in the market.

All you have to do is patiently wait until your profit were there, it's been proven and tested for how many years that Bitcoin price always has ATH, so possible it could be folded your capital for how many times. 
However, this wasn't the purpose of Bitcoin, we should use Bitcoin for the purpose of alternative currency.

Even though we can only make guesses when it comes to this industry because of its speculative nature, I take the liberty of telling you to buy now in response to your question. Bitcoin price has lost around 60% from its last ATH compared to the current price it's trading. It may still go down in price but I don't think it's going to be any horror buying now. Just buy with cash you won't miss. Buy it, then close your app and not constantly check on it like a kid would check in excitement for a newly planted maize seed to sprout.

I advise you to do the following:

1 - do technical analysis on bitcoin chart

2 - set the exact price you want to buy and how far you can take the risk if the price drops

3 - define the price at which you intend to sell and how far you can hold, for example:

you will buy at 22000$, you know that you can take the risk of the price falling to 14000$ and you can bear this loss for 2 years and you know that you will sell at 60,000$ and you can wait 3 years to reach that value.

I can not answer it for you, because that decision will be affected by two many factors

  • You must have own reasons why you want to invest in Bitcoin. If you have a wrong stand point, you are not investing, and only speculating with hope that your speculation will bring profit in the end. Then when you witness a crash, a temporary loss, you will be panic and cut loss.
  • Your plan for financial things in your life and whether the budget you want to spend for investment will affect your financial life, in case it ends as a loss
• The market condition: technically, in view of long term investors, it is very good time to invest

  • Price can fall down more but we are in good period to invest. Not Financial Advice

Nobody knows when the bottom will be. Many people here think they have it figured out but in reality they are just guessing. The bottom might of happened or it might not be for a couple weeks or months.

Best advice is just to by little by little. So if it goes lower you get to average down your cost and if it goes higher you average up your cost but lower than market value since you had a lower price previously.
